I am searching for an application that can forward calls from a single number to another number, usually the feature is enabled on all incoming calls but I want to forward call from a single incoming user.

I would like to forward all calls to my number on to the new predefined number automatically. Is it possible to forward incoming call? Probably it is possible for Froyo at least. I found application called Easy Call Forwarding. But many people reckon it dosen't work actually. We can notice forwarded call by onCallForwardingIndicatorChanged() from PhoneStateListener but I have no idea how to set forwarding mode.

Love the phone however I regularly see the alert/error "Restricted access changed" in the status bar and the signal drops off both SIMS. If I pull down the status bar and check details it says "Voice call service blocked".
What is interesting is that it is always the Vodafone NZ SIM card even if I swap cards between SIM slots. Other SIM is 2Degrees.
I've searched the internet but there seems very little info on this subject other than to say that some HD9 users have had the same issue and have Spice Mi 350n users.
It could be a IMEI issue but I'm not so sure.
I've turned off my SIM data connection which was linked to my 2Degrees SIM and now both SIMS manifest the same error. If I re-enable data on the 2Degrees SIM only the Vodafone SIM gives the error ***
Here is my dilemma:
I have 2 lines, 1 smartphone and 1 plain phone. Let's put up a scenario.
Smartphone = line a
Plain phone = line b
I want to forward all calls from line b to line a but instead of the caller id being of the caller, I want it to display the id of the forwarded phone.

I have been getting text messages from a number. my problem is that i want to forward the message with the phone number that sent it to another phone and my email. how do i do this i know that i can copy and paste it or forward it but when i tried that the phone number did show up only mine. i really need to be able to send the phone number with the original text at the same time.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am looking for a way to send certain callers to another number- not my Tmobile voicemail (I'm using an ADP1/Dream) I'm hoping to change jobs soon, and I don't want all the folks that call me at my current job bombarding me with questions at the new one. I want to be able to set up my phone so that pre-selected calls get forwarded to my current office, instead of my Tmobile voicemail. The only option I can find on my phone is to forward a specific caller to my Tmobile voicemail. (This is my personal phone, that I've given my number out to business contacts over the years)

View 10 Replies View RelatedGetting my EVO tomorrow, bought from Google I/O attendee. Not 100% sure I am going to ditch my Sprint Touch Pro 2. I think I will activate the EVO using the Google I/O free month of service and use conditional forwarding on my Sprint TP2 subscribed number and direct it to the EVO. That way I can keep the TP2 off, or with the phone radio off at least, and get calls routed to the EVO for free with no/very little delay. That way I can test the EVO without switching service from my TP2, and not give out the temp EVO phone number, and not rack up charges on my existing subscription with Sprint.
To enable conditional call forwarding:
*28 + number + send
To disable conditional call forwarding:
*38 + send
I think this will work without charging me airtime to my TP2 account, as opposed to standard call forwarding (*72) which is quite costly.
What number do people have configured for the 'Call forwarding settings' in Menu -> Settings -> Call -> Call forwarding? It takes 10 secs to "read settings" then shows a random number I don't recognise under busy / unanswered and unreachable.

When travelling I don't want my phone to ring or else i'd get charged international roaming rates for the voicemail if one is left, so I need any incoming calls to go immediately straight to my home phone without the call reaching the Captivate while i'm abroad. While i'm overseas I use my phone for text messaging, no voice to save money. I do this with my Palm Treo Pro all the time when travelling, set up the network so that the call immediately gets forwarded to my home number.

I know Locale has the capability but there is no plugin to do it. Does ANYONE have an App or know how I can call forward based on location or time of day or to at least call any number based on this criteria? I am assuming so by the way the manual is written. I have tried to follow the instructions on page 34 of the manual "adding a number to an entry in People". Step 2 directions do not exist. Now, I know that *72 will forward my calls to the number I specify, and *73 will disable that once I leave the defined area. The problem is that I use YouMail, and apparently *73 is the code for disabling the *71 busy/answer forwarding as well. It seems stupid that verizon used one code to disable 2 different features. How do I disable the *72 feature w/o disabling the *71 one?

Is there a way to delete a single entry in your call history without deleting the rest of your call history? I've been going through all the menus but I can't seem to find a way to delete just one number.
Also, I used to own a Palm Treo 650 (Palm OS). With it, you could literally hide single contacts by setting a contact privacy password. This setting was deep in the settings and upon finishing setting it up, you could password lock that menu as well, the title of it and all. So this way, if you hand your phone to a colleague for them to make a quick call, they can't go through your phonebook or recents to try to get your numbers.
I bring this up because a few years ago, this lady I worked with let another co-worker use her phone to make a call and the lady ended up copying a specific number from the woman's recent list without her knowledge. She took the number and harassed the person so much they had to get a restraining order on her. And it was later found out the only way she could have gotten the number is the time she let the woman use her phone.
Call me paranoid but the Treo offered that security feature and I haven't seen it since. Is there any way to do this on the EVO that I just may be missing?
Also, does anyone know of something like a "guest mode" app on the marketplace where the guest can only use what you allow them to and not have access to recents or phonebook, like, just the core function, like sms/mms, net, phone, or calc, etc.

Therefore my phone is constantly using 3G and wastes heaps of battery. how to restrict background data so no apps will be using the mobile data? don't tell me to use task killer because task killers constantly use data as well and if u kill an app, it just comes back.
