Here is my dilemma:
I have 2 lines, 1 smartphone and 1 plain phone. Let's put up a scenario.
Smartphone = line a
Plain phone = line b
I want to forward all calls from line b to line a but instead of the caller id being of the caller, I want it to display the id of the forwarded phone.

i need a way to understand that the incoming call is a forwarded call so i can deny it using tasker or another application.If possible i want to auto decline the call using tasker + secure settings or any other plugin
View 3 Replies View Relatedwhen I'm at work I want Tasker to automatically forward my calls to my work phone. It can do that w/ its autodial feature. Now, I know that *72 will forward my calls to the number I specify, and *73 will disable that once I leave the defined area. The problem is that I use YouMail, and apparently *73 is the code for disabling the *71 busy/answer forwarding as well. It seems stupid that verizon used one code to disable 2 different features. How do I disable the *72 feature w/o disabling the *71 one?

Is there a way to make the contacts stored on the phone the ones that get displayed when calling or receiving a call without deleting the sim card contacts?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am looking for a way to send certain callers to another number- not my Tmobile voicemail (I'm using an ADP1/Dream) I'm hoping to change jobs soon, and I don't want all the folks that call me at my current job bombarding me with questions at the new one. I want to be able to set up my phone so that pre-selected calls get forwarded to my current office, instead of my Tmobile voicemail. The only option I can find on my phone is to forward a specific caller to my Tmobile voicemail. (This is my personal phone, that I've given my number out to business contacts over the years)

View 10 Replies View RelatedGetting my EVO tomorrow, bought from Google I/O attendee. Not 100% sure I am going to ditch my Sprint Touch Pro 2. I think I will activate the EVO using the Google I/O free month of service and use conditional forwarding on my Sprint TP2 subscribed number and direct it to the EVO. That way I can keep the TP2 off, or with the phone radio off at least, and get calls routed to the EVO for free with no/very little delay. That way I can test the EVO without switching service from my TP2, and not give out the temp EVO phone number, and not rack up charges on my existing subscription with Sprint.
To enable conditional call forwarding:
*28 + number + send
To disable conditional call forwarding:
*38 + send
I think this will work without charging me airtime to my TP2 account, as opposed to standard call forwarding (*72) which is quite costly.
What number do people have configured for the 'Call forwarding settings' in Menu -> Settings -> Call -> Call forwarding? It takes 10 secs to "read settings" then shows a random number I don't recognise under busy / unanswered and unreachable.

When travelling I don't want my phone to ring or else i'd get charged international roaming rates for the voicemail if one is left, so I need any incoming calls to go immediately straight to my home phone without the call reaching the Captivate while i'm abroad. While i'm overseas I use my phone for text messaging, no voice to save money. I do this with my Palm Treo Pro all the time when travelling, set up the network so that the call immediately gets forwarded to my home number.

I know Locale has the capability but there is no plugin to do it. Does ANYONE have an App or know how I can call forward based on location or time of day or to at least call any number based on this criteria? View 1 Replies View RelatedI have several users at work who have the HTC Droid Eris. We allow our users to connect to our work email via IMAP. We have an issue where when a users receives forwarded email, they can't open it. It give them the option to save to the SD card, but when you click again on it, it still only gives you that option. I tried one of our users, who has the new incredible, and it works on his once he saves it to the sd card, it gives the option to open. Has anyone gotten this issue before, or is there a work around for it.

In Gmail, you can respond to emails as if it was coming from the business email (server). This was a simple sync I had with Blackberry emails. I was told that any text message sent to me that is larger than the standard 160 characters, would be split up into two or more messages. This is not happening on my phone, and I'm wondering if this is an OS problem, phone problem, or if I just need to call Verizon to have them investigate?

I would like to forward all calls to my number on to the new predefined number automatically. Is it possible to forward incoming call? Probably it is possible for Froyo at least. I found application called Easy Call Forwarding. But many people reckon it dosen't work actually. We can notice forwarded call by onCallForwardingIndicatorChanged() from PhoneStateListener but I have no idea how to set forwarding mode.

I've been messing around with C2DM and have a nice little app working perfectly in the Emulator. I send a message from my app server to Google's C2DM servers, the message will arrive on the emulator and my app would respond appropriately.
My problem now is running the app on my smartphone (a Nexus One). The app runs fine and registers for C2DM with Google and then forwards it's rego ID to my application server. This is all working as expected. Problem is, when I send a message from my app server to the phone, my app never receives the message. After some investigation I found out
that the message reaches the phone, but the C2DM subsystem seems to be forwarding the message to the Google Talk app and not MY app.
Has anyone seen this behavior before? Can anyone give hints on what to look for to solve this? I was assuming that if the registration messages where forwarded to my app, then everything else should be as well.
how to intercept incoming calls and also how to forward them. I know there are several questions regarding this topic here and elsewhere on the net, but all the answers use the android.intent.action.PHONE_STATE action which is broadcast always after the phone begins to ring and the call screen is shown. That's why I'm looking for a solution where i could intercept the call in an early stage before any notification (ringing etc..) has been done. I would like to know if maybe this is possible on a platform level in native code and if yes how ? Or perhaps with some kind of trick with the SDK?
