There are a lot of sms schedule apps, but I mostly use Facebook Messenger app to contact friends and family as they receive them directly to their mobile device.
I know there are services which allow scheduled Facebook status updates, but I'm looking for an app that allows you to schedule Facebook Messages. SGS3 on Omega v9.0

I have the Android Facebook-Connect library running in my emulator and I'm able to set my status with the Facebook API I have setup. However, I don't know where to go from there? Am I supposed to use the session key that this library allows me to get and make some Facebook API calls? I haven't found any code examples to even see what the proper syntax is. Am I better off using another library? I tried fbrocket with limited luck(I get a "server error 104 - Incorrect signature").

Using Cron4Phone:
I want to shutdown the phone every night at a certain time via cron. Normally in Linux, you can use shutdown -h or Poweroff. Neither command works.
Their command in the program uses reboot -p which I understand to not be a good way to shutdown the phone as it is essentially the same as a battery pull.
I have busybox installed and have tried with full root permissions using busybox poweroff -f and nothing happens. Is there a simple command that I can push in there to safely shut down the phone?
Is there a way to automatically switch between profiles based on a schedule or location? Like set the Night Profile from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM and set Work Profile from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM?

I'm looking for an app that enables one to schedule recurring downloads of specific files at specific times for my Xperia Arc. It's for my morning newspaper, which is in PDF-format.
Earlier with my ZTE Blade i used Samba Filesharing, mounted the phone on my computer and put the file on the phone each morning using cron from my computer (Running Fedora). But this is not an option any more, at least not at the moment, because I have not managed to root my Xperia Arc (unlockbootloader.sonyericsson.com is down for "maintenance"), and Samba Filesharing requires root.
So, basically all i need is an app that at given times each day can download a specific file (always the same name) and overwrite the old file with the new without any interaction.
Is there any app available that can do this?
I have my Facebook contacts linked to my phone. But when a comment, post, or message is received by my phone it's listed as a number. These messeges are not listed under that contact but they are in the general list of messages received. When i try to save the post/message to my contact it creates a new phone number for that person. For example, when i get notified of a comment my Facebook contact puts up, it is listed as coming from 3266518 ...then 519 and so on instead of being tied to that person. When i try to save it to that person it saves it as an additional phone # for that person. I have notifications setup on Facebook and my contact linked to Facebook. Are these two different things?

1. I received a text message from my credit card company, who are not in my contacts list. The phone has listed the sender as a random facebook contact who is not in my 'people' list. How has this happened and how can I fix it?
2. I have used some of my friends facebook profile photos in my people list. However, when they update their profile picture, the photo does not change on my phone. Can I do anything about this?

On facebook someone left me a comment 2 minutes after i put it there and my phone got it 7 minutes later. Come to think about it, I barely get any text from facebook. Mainly to turn off like 12:00 AM to save battery, and turn back on at whatever time you set? I know there are some that will turn your wifi and 3g (user set) off if your battery gets below a certain point (user set) but these are like $3.00. To me it seems like a rip off, since its such a simple app... Anyways does anyone know of an app like this, if not would anyone be interested in developing it? Seems simple for someone who knows how to create app's. The reason I think this would be better than the battery manager's that just shut your data wifi and gps off after your battery hits a certain % is because sometimes your battery will be just charged but you will go to sleep at night leaving your wifi/3g on and your battery will drain until it hits whatever %, then the manager will turn your data off. Meanwhile you just lost a whole lot of battery that you didnt need to.
