Games :: Doom For Android Force Closing
Jan 23, 2010I downloaded the doom for android apk from Doom.for.Android.apk - doom-for-android - Doom for Android (FREE) - Project Hosting on Google Codeand installed it on my hero and whenever i attempt to open it i just get force close right away. anyone having this problem or know how to get it to work? i tried restarting my phone but didnt help.

Jun 2, 2010There should hopefully be a working version out soon that will carry on working when my Desire gets the 2.2 update in the next couple of months. There's not loads of games out yet for ScummVM, but one in particular I'm really looking forward to is Full Throttle. A really cool game at the time and to be able to play on my Desire will be totally awesome. Any one else looking forward to ScummVM? or if you know of any other Android Emulation projects?

I was playing cestos today and the other guy started writing random letters in text box then after bout 50 text box msgs said "i have hacked your account" can he do this or was it just some idiot being a real ares? Nov 22, 2010I have a Droid2 and downloaded Gameboid Lite. I then downloaded gba_bios.bin, and 2 separate versions of Pokemon Silver roms. gba_bios was selected just fine, but Silver won't run. I noticed you have to put the zipped .zip ROM, so i put both on my SD card and both are giving me the same result.
When I select the game, the screen changes, "Select ROM" at the top turns into "Gameboid Lite", and a notification in the notification area says "Gameboid Lite is running". I'm assuming this is where the game usually starts up and runs, but instead, after about 0.5-1 second, the screen goes back to Select ROM, and nothing happens, even though the notification says "Gameboid Lite is running".
I have no idea why it's not working. I downloaded a separate ROM file to see if it was a bad ROM, but same error with both. Any ideas?

Feb 5, 2010I recently got the HTC G2 Touch and sometimes it is a great phone and sometimes it's the most expensive brick i've ever bought. I was wondering if anyone could answer a couple of questions,
1. I'm surprised the phone doesn't have a music equalizer. Are there any apps that do this?
2. Toon Warz lags on my phone quite alot. Is there anything I can do to speed it up?
3. When I play a song there is a stutter at the beginning of each song, is there any way to stop this? And when I press pause it doesn't pause straight away, or when using the buttons on the headphones.
4. Why can't I find Doom on the market? I've searched literally everything!
5. If I buy a game, does it just get charged onto my phone bill?
6. I know that you can uninstall a game within 24 hours and you won't be charged, but couldn't you just uninstall and reinstall an app every 24 hours and not get charged?
I know that this isn't the G2 Touch part of the forum but this area gets more views and the phones are practically the same!

All the above when I start them they only show black screen with sound, I can click on things but no picture.
When Running Injustice Phone says, app is not responding , Wait or Close!
Injustce comes up with loading screen and the superman screen but after that it is a black screen!
I have tried rebooting, reinstalling, clearing all sorts and my phone is upto date!
I am also Running V6 Supercharger wich is awsome and makes my phone lag free!

General :: Changing Phone Resolution And Playing HD Games?
Dec 3, 2013I'm using an off-brand device which's resolution is [FWVGA (854x480) pixels]. I bought Need For Speed Shift from Play Store,installed and downloaded the data(approx. 100 MB).But when I opened the game, everything's white and grey,only the music and some of the texts are fine but everything else is like invisible.No cars,roads or terrains.
I contacted with EA and they suggested me to change the game's resolution in the option, but as I can't see anything, I can't do it.I replied them with it but it's been 3 days and no answer from them.
As I'm using Android 4.2.1(JB) I can't use ChainFire 3D.
Change the resolution settings in your game and give me the settings file or is there any way to change the resolution option manually by editing the data files?

Aug 31, 2013I have noticed that, while playing games on my Xperia V, the game process itself drains less battery than the Mediaserver (=audio playback) process.
Even when I completely mute the device's sound - Strange, because no sound is playing but the Mediaserver still eats up my battery. I wonder if this issue is caused by my Xperia somehow still using CPU for audio playback despite the audio is muted. is there a way to reduce or prevent this and improve my gaming battery life?

Dec 2, 2010I have just upgraded to 2.1 and am finding that when playing games the touchpad isn't responsive at all and is requires repeated touches to complete the one function. The games I've found this problem on so far are paper toss, toss it, angry birds, basketball shots 3d and air control lite. I had no problems with any of these games in 1.6 but now after the upgrade most of them are unplayable due to this issue. I've noticed the problem goes away in air control lite when I disable hardware acceleration in the settings. At the moment this is a big problem and pretty much makes the phone useless for playing games. Hoping someone has some advice for me. PS. My wife has same phone and I upgraded her's too with exactly the same problems.

Sonic 3 looks lovely, runs at 60fps and never stutters. It even seems to look higher rez than most Android apps.Android platformer games are nowhere near as good looking or smooth.So what the hell is going on? The hardware on top end Android phones (Desire, galaxy etc) is clearly capable.
