Games :: ESPN Fantasy App Up In Market
Sep 3, 2010
ESPN's Fantasy Football App is on the market now. It's $5 though, so I think I may wait until the day of the first game to give it a run, and if I don't like it I can return it within the 24hrs.
I'm curious to see how the Fantasy Cast compares to the web version.

I know I just bumped up another thread involving a Fantasy App but it was an older thread so I thought I'd start up a new one. Has anyone been able to get ahold of a ESPN Fantasy Football app yet? The season is quickly approaching and I need to be able to handle all my moves!

Do Apple App Store and the Goodle Android Market have fees for putting apps up (like say, they take 10% of each sale for themselves)? Also, when you put them up, are there options you can choose as to what payment options are accepted? IE, I recently tried to purchase the game Snail Buster but it would not accept Discover Card. With that second question, what "options" do developers have when submitting apps to the store/market?

I'm trying to install angry birds on my Galaxy S. I've found several methods and none of them have worked. The android market does not even list the game in search results. I've tried scanning the barcode from the distributor and that doesn't work either.

own the Droid X, and also an iPod Touch, and I recently found out that some of my favorite iPod games, such as Hero of Sparta, Sandstorm: Modern Combat, and N.O.V.A. are available for android phones as well, but after many searches in the Android Market, I could not find these? Are they just in the process of being ported over? And I see other people talking about how awesome the games run on Their Droid X.

Ta-BooYa is two games in one app.
Ta-BooYa Traditional is similar to Hasbro's Taboo game but with additional features and up to 10 "forbidden" words per card. Great for parties! Can be played with 2 players but requires at least 4 for real competition.
In Ta-BooYa Reverse, you receive clues one at a time in a race agains the clock.
Both variations include many game options.
The Lite version is free and comes with 200 game cards.
Ta-BooYa Lite:

The full version is $1.99, and comes with over 1000 game cards.

Some questions we have for Android users and developers:
1. Is the game too easy, too hard, or about right?
2. Is the game play understandable?
3. Is it easy to navigate between different parts of the app (game, settings, instructions)?
4. Is the game fun?
5. Is the price right for the full version?
6. Should features be more limited or more available for the Lite version?
7. Would you buy the full version?

Thing is in order to do this I have to do a factory reset, and I know of at least one app I really love that is no longer in the market due to copyright infringement. is there any way that I can back this up so that I don't lose it?

I'd like to announce the release on the Android Market of our last creation: 1 Minute Game. The main concept is very simple. The computer shows puzzles based on numbers, shapes and colours: the player must solve them and touch the correct answer to go to the next round, trying to be as fast as possible. We implemented 3 different modes that must be unlocked by playing more and more. You can play games under the "Training" areas so to train yourself and challenge your friends locally (there are 6 slots to store the profiles of the players).
Online Challenge
But the core of 1 Minute Game is the online challenge, which allows the players (once per day) to play a special match and to send the result to an online leader board. Each score shows also the nationality selected by each player try to get your country at top of the ranking. The ranking is visible both through the application and visiting the web site of the game.
Free DLC
In order to make the game more appealing and let you enjoy it for more time, we are developing new games to be released for free in the next versions of the application. For example, this morning (it's a matter of minutes) we will release the version 1.1 which contains a brand new game in the training section: The intruder. In each round, all of the objects shown on the screen share the same characteristic (same shape, colour, number or animation) except for one: that's the Intruder!
New games of logic will be released once they are completed and fully tested through future news.
LITE version
There is also a LITE version in the Market: 1 Minute Game LITE (limited number of levels, no online challenge and 2 slots to store the users' profiles), so you can try it and see if it is worth to buy the Full one. This LITE version includes the additional training "The Intruder" as well.
DOWNLOAD
the game can be downloaded from the Android Market. Just search for its name or click on these links with the browser of your Android smartphone:
FULL version - market://search?q=pname:com.wepromite.oneminutegame
LITE version - market://search?q=pname:com.wepromite.oneminutegamelite

Have a work-issued HTC Magic here and have installed all sorts of free stuff. Just wondered what happens when I get my own Hero early next year? Can I "move" my applications over? Do I need to pay for them again? I've not created a Market Place account yet - is it tied to a handset?

Has anyone got any idea why the cost of Android apps seems to be waaay more than the cost of iphone ones?A work colleague was saying that he downloaded Angry Birds (which I beleive is on its way to us) from the Apps store for 59p? I can't see it being 59p when it comes to Android?Yet all the apps in market seem to be more expensive than that, well the odd ones that are listed in sterling currency and not dollars.

so apprently there is this great new game called backbreaker football on the android market. However, for some reason it does not show up in my market, or with a search. It IS showing up for other people. The best i can figure is that these people have motodroids, and i have the incredilble. Would this make a difference? they are both on 2.1.
so, i was hoping we could do a little test to show that i am indeed not crazy, as i am now thinking i am. Someone else with an incredible and someone with a droid doing a search and posting if they find it?!

This is not really Incredible related, but since I just got one I figured maybe this app would work. Is anybody having issues logging into their CBS Fantasy Football through the app? I login in, and when I hit submit it brings me right back to the login screen. It's really frustrating. Has anyone found a work around for this or is this just some glitch that CBS needs to fix?

An interesting addendum to the Gameloft debate.I bought Asphalt 5 when if came out on the Market in April. It's now been pulled (presumably connected to Gameloft going to direct distribution). One think I notice is that when I pull up my list of Downloads in the Market application it no longer shows up. Presumably this means I won't be receiving updates on it.But presumably this also means I cannot reinstall it if I clear some memory / bork my phone / have a horrible experience with the Gingerbread update &tc &tc.Are they allowed to do this? Isn't one of the reasons I buy on the Market because I know I have the right to reinstall? Let's look at the marketplace agreement which (presumably) Gameloft signed up to: Android.com.Take a close look at clauses 3.6 and 7.1.
1) I have the right to unlimited reinstalls (3.6).
2) Even if an app is taken down by the vendor, my licence rights are unaffect (7.1).
3) There are special cases where an app can be taken down and reinstall rights suspended (if it infringes copyright, is defamatory etc). However if taken down under these circumstances I am entitled to a refund (7.1).
So as I see it taking down Asphalt 5 and denying me my right to unlimited installs contravenes the Marketplace agreement (does anyone else have experience with other paid apps that have been taken down?). And even if the app was taken down because it was dodgy (which I don't think it has done), I should be entitled to a full refund.I've lobbed a request into Gameloft support to see what they come out with, but I don't hold up much hope.
