I wan't to create a slide panel that slides from the bottom of the screen. That slide panel stops in a certain point on screen. When I'm stopping to move the slide panel the position of the panel will be fixed in place until I will touch the panel again and drag it to the bottom of the edge of the screen to it's start position.

The notification panel has a cool control where you grab and slide open the notifications, select to close, or slide to close. Anyone have any pointers to the code for this control, or examples on how to build one. Like to integrate something like that into an application.

First I want to write my owen ControlPanel just like MediaController, but I found that it is impossible for me to create a new window by calling PolicyManager.createNewWindow(contex); just an MediaController do. SO , how could I create a new window? Or is there other way to implement this floating panel??

The htc panel is more eye appealing. The google one is more functional. Turning your phone into a more dedicated sat nav. Pressing the home button takes you to the nav panel rather than your 7 home screens

View 6 Replies View RelatedEarlier today, I go to mount my evo as a disk drive to copy some files over and I'm no longer able to. When I plug in the usb to the pc (win7 ultimate x64), it starts to charge the phone, but I don't get the option in the notification panel to choose what I want it to do when I plug it in. I've check the phone settings and it's still supposed to ask each time it's plugged in. The sd card is recognized in astro, I even put it back in the hero just to make sure, and everything is there and working. I've tried on my pc (16 different usb slots) and my laptop (4 usb) and neither one will allow me to mount.

I don't think it shows running apps, because some of the apps I'm sure I had quit (e.g. I pressed the power off button in the FM Radio app but it still shows in the notification area.)

Memory says 71% used (and 117.6 M available) or 29% free. What does this mean? I'd really like to hide some of the unused switches and add options I'm using more often.If there is no easy option to edit the menu, is there at least a way to add a switch for the VPN dialer ?
BTW, the default VPN routing in 4.4 was sending all traffic through the VPN connection, if you want to stop this behavior, under "show advanced options" you can set the routing to your netmask (e.g 192.168.1.0/24).
I open my notification panel a LOT during the day and am looking for a better way to toggle it other than swiping down from the top (Galaxy S4). My friend has a LG G2 and it has a button right on the bottom home panel to do this - is there a way to get this on an S4?

View 1 Replies View RelatedFor some reason the history tab on the system panel app no longer works. When I click it nothing happens. I'm not sure why it stopped. Every other part of the program works fine. Any idea what the problem could be?
Also I'm typing this from the default browser and it seems to be working just fine, I'm impressed.
I downloaded System Panel, and its cool as hell I really like it. But after a day went by I noticed I stopped receiving email notifications. So I assumed System Panel was the culprit. So I proceeded to uninstall it and voila, I'm getting email alerts again. So I reinstalled it and made sure all the HTC system services were under exclusion, because I thought that maybe I killed the app that handles the email notifications. Well after reinstall and making sure that all the critical HTC system services were set to exclusions, It started again. No email notifications. What am I doing wrong? The EVO is my first Android Phone and I really like System Panel. I just want them to play nice together. My 24 hours are up so I cant request a refund. But If I cant figure it out I will accept the 3.00 dollar loss and go back with ATK.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter reading the thread on here about not needing a task manager, I removed mine and downloaded system panel just to keep an eye on whats always running and be able to kill any rogue apps. However, whenever I open system panel lite, its only ever the one that seems to be using the most CPU in the foreground apps, with it having the most bar full on the left. So what I'm confused about is that whether its normally just using a lot of my CPU to keep track of things, in which case I should uninstall it, or whether its a case of it showing up as using so much because I am using it at the time of checking to check the CPU usage.

Whenever I do this it either wants to remove the widget, or it brings up the "Add to Home" screen. I can still get to the notifications panel by choosing Menu then Notifications from the home screen, but can't understand why I can't get it the normal way.
View 9 Replies View RelatedQuite mystic issue with my Hero. Never dropped my phone and always handle it with care. Suddenly couple a days ago with normal daily usage screen goes black. I think it was a normal crash and pull out battery for reboot. Device rebooted normally but when it comes to SIM Unlock screen there was only empty boxes without numbers so I again pull out battery and now phone stucks in Hero splash screen almost 10 minutes and reboots over and over again. If I boot up with pressing down HOME and Power nothing happens. it just again HERO Splash and boot loop. When I press BACK and Power in FASTBOOT-menu there is TOUCH PANEL-fail. I think my touch screen is broken or there is some other things totally messed up (???) but what confused me is why I cannot access recovery mode with HOME + Power. Anyway I reinstalled Stock ROM in Fastboot-mode but phone is still in bootloop.
