The notification panel has a cool control where you grab and slide open the notifications, select to close, or slide to close. Anyone have any pointers to the code for this control, or examples on how to build one. Like to integrate something like that into an application.

I wan't to create a slide panel that slides from the bottom of the screen. That slide panel stops in a certain point on screen. When I'm stopping to move the slide panel the position of the panel will be fixed in place until I will touch the panel again and drag it to the bottom of the edge of the screen to it's start position.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI try to send gps longitude and latitude to the android emulator with eclipse, but the values seem to never be set. Instead the onStatusChanged method of my listener is called. Edit I send those values through the emulator controls in the ddms view in eclipse.If I send data via telnet I get the correct data shown and the onLocationChanged method of my listener is changed.

View 6 Replies View RelatedAfter reading the thread on here about not needing a task manager, I removed mine and downloaded system panel just to keep an eye on whats always running and be able to kill any rogue apps. However, whenever I open system panel lite, its only ever the one that seems to be using the most CPU in the foreground apps, with it having the most bar full on the left. So what I'm confused about is that whether its normally just using a lot of my CPU to keep track of things, in which case I should uninstall it, or whether its a case of it showing up as using so much because I am using it at the time of checking to check the CPU usage.

View 24 Replies View RelatedI downloaded System Panel, and its cool as hell I really like it. But after a day went by I noticed I stopped receiving email notifications. So I assumed System Panel was the culprit. So I proceeded to uninstall it and voila, I'm getting email alerts again. So I reinstalled it and made sure all the HTC system services were under exclusion, because I thought that maybe I killed the app that handles the email notifications. Well after reinstall and making sure that all the critical HTC system services were set to exclusions, It started again. No email notifications. What am I doing wrong? The EVO is my first Android Phone and I really like System Panel. I just want them to play nice together. My 24 hours are up so I cant request a refund. But If I cant figure it out I will accept the 3.00 dollar loss and go back with ATK.
View 3 Replies View RelatedOn Aug 10, 2010 I purchased an unlocked HTC Legend (A6365 - HSPA 850/1900/2100 Mhz). The phone operated wonderfully until Sep 8, 2010. At that time, the Notification bar couldn't be "pulled-down" anymore. Additionally, without rhyme or reason, when I touch the screen, the notification panel will open randomly. This renders the phone useless since every time I touch the screen, the notification panels opens. I tried a softboot and a factory reset. Neither action resolved the issue. I contacted HTC USA support and they suggested clearing the calendar data and vigorously rubbing my hands together and then touch the screen whenever the issue occurred. No success. This issue occurs whether the SIM card is installed or not. I can safely say that no new applications were installed within 48 hours of the issue starting.

Regrettably, none of these threads have any answers. HTC support then recommended for me to contact HTC Return Merchandise Authorization & Repair Center. This group (in the USA) cannot accept the phone for troubleshooting because this phone is not available in the USA. Based on the behavior thus far, I suspect this is an issue with the firmware becoming unstable. The phone hasn't been exposed to any drastic environmental changes (heat, cold, excessive dust, etc).

By know, HTC should have received multiple complains of this issue and I hope they have a solution for it. The options of the phone are great, reception is wonderful and performance is superb (except for this issue).
I hate sliding my droid keyboard open and still having to unlock it on the screen. In every other case, having to unlock it doesn't bother me, so I'm just looking for an app that will bypass the lock when you slide the keyboard open.

If I shut these off via the control panel then tasker does not turn them on at the appointed times and events.Which begs the question, is tasker REALLY turning them off? or are the icons just going away in the notification bar (because they still show as on in the control panel widget)Has anyone else noticed this issue?

I was wondering if the Epic lockscreen shows any indications of unread items (particular SMS text messages)? Also, if music is being played, does it show music controls on the lockscreen so that you dont have to unlock the screen and go to the music app before being able to control music?
Is it possible to change which app is used when email notifications are clicked? On my HTC One it uses the default mail app but I like to use Gmail. Can you change it for other things like text messages?

The htc panel is more eye appealing. The google one is more functional. Turning your phone into a more dedicated sat nav. Pressing the home button takes you to the nav panel rather than your 7 home screens
I have a class to make a transparent panel to overlay in any view of my application which I found the tutorial on the internet. The thing is.. it's not painting with transparency .. just gray... does it have to do with this element?

First I want to write my owen ControlPanel just like MediaController, but I found that it is impossible for me to create a new window by calling PolicyManager.createNewWindow(contex); just an MediaController do. I wrote a database helper class that gives me back results for common queries I make for my app, and it uses an SQLiteOpenHelper implementation I wrote to open the database. I use the open helper to open the database and get a cursor to pass to my CursorAdapter.

The problem I'm having, that I didn't have before I implemented the open helper (before I just opened the database directly without a helper), is when I click on an item, which takes me to another activity, and then go back to this activity. When it initializes everything is fine, and my list is populated fine, but when I go back from the activity that follows, the list is empty and in the LogCat I see "Invalid statement in fillWindow()".
It appears from a few post I've seen that the reason is, when I requery the cursor, the database is closed. But I'm not closing it! I'm scratching my head on this one.
I'm having problems with my Droid Incredible battery not lasting a full day; even when I don't think I'm doing a lot. Maybe its the K9 Mail applications or my stock monitor, or some other application that is using a lot of power.
I got the System Panel application to help, but it doesn't see to give me a view of what application is using up the power.
This may be Nexus One specific, but I'm looking to replace the apps icons page (the list that scrolls around a virtual cube). It just goes too slow and I'd rather have something that moves one full page (and only one full page) at a time-- maybe something similar to the iPhone. Anyone heard of an app that can do this?

There is some APIs to handle the SIP. But I can't find API to know status of SIP(it is on showing or hiding).
When SIP is showing to user. It disturbs the UI of the Activity. So Activity should know about the information related with upper case. How can I know that?
