The htc panel is more eye appealing. The google one is more functional. Turning your phone into a more dedicated sat nav. Pressing the home button takes you to the nav panel rather than your 7 home screens

When I pull down the bar at the top to reveal the notification panel, I see a list of app icons. Is that the list of recently used apps? I don't think it shows running apps, because some of the apps I'm sure I had quit (e.g. I pressed the power off button in the FM Radio app but it still shows in the notification area.)

View 1 Replies View RelatedI anyone else noticing issues with System Panel on the leaked Froyo Rom? I assume 2.2 handles memory in a different way, and System Panel doesn't read it correctly. It shows all of my apps running without anything being cached. Also, the CPU clock seems to be running at 700MHz or more constantly instead of coming down to ~300 or so like it showed on 2.1. However the CPU graph on the top left does come down like normal.

How can I change this values to make it be transparent?

View 6 Replies View RelatedEarlier today, I go to mount my evo as a disk drive to copy some files over and I'm no longer able to. When I plug in the usb to the pc (win7 ultimate x64), it starts to charge the phone, but I don't get the option in the notification panel to choose what I want it to do when I plug it in. I've check the phone settings and it's still supposed to ask each time it's plugged in. The sd card is recognized in astro, I even put it back in the hero just to make sure, and everything is there and working. I've tried on my pc (16 different usb slots) and my laptop (4 usb) and neither one will allow me to mount.

Without lifting your finger, slide your finger down to open the box. To close it you can slide it up from the bottom or tap the dot in the middle of the bottom bar.

First I want to write my owen ControlPanel just like MediaController, but I found that it is impossible for me to create a new window by calling PolicyManager.createNewWindow(contex); just an MediaController do. SO , how could I create a new window? Or is there other way to implement this floating panel??
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I tap "Stop All" in System Panel it opens an application or program, sometimes it has opened GoogleEarth, Barcode scanner, mostly it opens the Phone page. How can I avoid this so it goes to home when I stop all? I've tried going to Home before stopping, that doesn't work, when it opened Google Earth I hadn't used that for days.

Memory says 71% used (and 117.6 M available) or 29% free. What does this mean? I don't even have anything open except for Lookout in the background (antivirus and backup disabled) and System Panel on. If it's ROM, how could I be using 71% doing practically nothing?

I'd really like to hide some of the unused switches and add options I'm using more often.If there is no easy option to edit the menu, is there at least a way to add a switch for the VPN dialer ?
BTW, the default VPN routing in 4.4 was sending all traffic through the VPN connection, if you want to stop this behavior, under "show advanced options" you can set the routing to your netmask (e.g 192.168.1.0/24).
I open my notification panel a LOT during the day and am looking for a better way to toggle it other than swiping down from the top (Galaxy S4). My friend has a LG G2 and it has a button right on the bottom home panel to do this - is there a way to get this on an S4?

View 1 Replies View RelatedFor some reason the history tab on the system panel app no longer works. When I click it nothing happens. I'm not sure why it stopped. Every other part of the program works fine. Any idea what the problem could be?
Also I'm typing this from the default browser and it seems to be working just fine, I'm impressed.
I downloaded System Panel, and its cool as hell I really like it. But after a day went by I noticed I stopped receiving email notifications. So I assumed System Panel was the culprit. So I proceeded to uninstall it and voila, I'm getting email alerts again. So I reinstalled it and made sure all the HTC system services were under exclusion, because I thought that maybe I killed the app that handles the email notifications. Well after reinstall and making sure that all the critical HTC system services were set to exclusions, It started again. No email notifications. What am I doing wrong? The EVO is my first Android Phone and I really like System Panel. I just want them to play nice together. My 24 hours are up so I cant request a refund. But If I cant figure it out I will accept the 3.00 dollar loss and go back with ATK.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter reading the thread on here about not needing a task manager, I removed mine and downloaded system panel just to keep an eye on whats always running and be able to kill any rogue apps. However, whenever I open system panel lite, its only ever the one that seems to be using the most CPU in the foreground apps, with it having the most bar full on the left. So what I'm confused about is that whether its normally just using a lot of my CPU to keep track of things, in which case I should uninstall it, or whether its a case of it showing up as using so much because I am using it at the time of checking to check the CPU usage.
View 3 Replies View RelatedDon't know what I'm doing wrong but I can't seem to open the notification panel by long-pressing the status bar and dragging down, which I understand is how it should be done. Whenever I do this it either wants to remove the widget, or it brings up the "Add to Home" screen. I can still get to the notifications panel by choosing Menu then Notifications from the home screen, but can't understand why I can't get it the normal way.
View 9 Replies View RelatedQuite mystic issue with my Hero. Never dropped my phone and always handle it with care. Suddenly couple a days ago with normal daily usage screen goes black. I think it was a normal crash and pull out battery for reboot. Device rebooted normally but when it comes to SIM Unlock screen there was only empty boxes without numbers so I again pull out battery and now phone stucks in Hero splash screen almost 10 minutes and reboots over and over again. If I boot up with pressing down HOME and Power nothing happens. it just again HERO Splash and boot loop. When I press BACK and Power in FASTBOOT-menu there is TOUCH PANEL-fail. I think my touch screen is broken or there is some other things totally messed up (???) but what confused me is why I cannot access recovery mode with HOME + Power. Anyway I reinstalled Stock ROM in Fastboot-mode but phone is still in bootloop.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm having problems with my Droid Incredible battery not lasting a full day; even when I don't think I'm doing a lot. Maybe its the K9 Mail applications or my stock monitor, or some other application that is using a lot of power.
I got the System Panel application to help, but it doesn't see to give me a view of what application is using up the power.
This may be Nexus One specific, but I'm looking to replace the apps icons page (the list that scrolls around a virtual cube). It just goes too slow and I'd rather have something that moves one full page (and only one full page) at a time-- maybe something similar to the iPhone. Anyone heard of an app that can do this?
