So my question is then whether someone has a solution that works quite well as a possible. next update of the SDK will provide, a full GData API?

The problem is that I am getting an error when in my app I do the actions that uses the code that "talks" to the calendar api. I have created a "libs" folder in the root of my app project to put all the libraries I need. Then add jar from the build path config screen (in eclipse).

I am trying to work with the Google Docs API in an application for Android. I can find plenty of documentation on the API and how to use it, but I can't seem to figure out how to get the dependencies into Eclipse. I got the Google Data Feature to install and can now seem to get resolution to com.google.gdata.data.* and com.google.gdata.util.* , but most of the stuff I need is in com.google.gdata.client.Can someone PLEASE help me figure out Eclipse?! I have been searching the web for an answer and beating my head against the wall for a week now!

I'm writing an android 2.1 application that writes an entry to my Google calendar.

I export the application through Eclipse to generate the .apk file which I install on my N-1 phone. However the application cannot find the CalendarService class, giving me the following runtime error:

When developing other android applications the "external jar files" always seem to be cross-compiled and packed into the apk file - so I do not understand why the app cannot find the CalendarService class.
I have been looking for a solution, but the only format that I can get a response to the profile API is in HTML. That is not very reliable for getting something like a list of the blogger's reading list. I have been able to get the default/blogs with my auth token and have the result returned in JSON. I then used that to get the author's blog-id .. and then .. the profile (which has the reading list). Howver, when I request it in JSON (i.e., ?v=2/alt=json) at the end of the URI, it still returns HTML. Is there a better way?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've imported all the contacts from outlook to my mobile without any problem but when I open People they are divided in two alphabetically sorted lists: i have some contacts sorted from A to Z and then the remaining sorted as well from A to Z but this second batch has dividers between contacts starting with different letters.All my contacts are there but it's very annoying to have them divided in 2 lists, any idea how to organize them in a single list?Second problem is that I can't sync new entries in the mobile's calendar with outlook. HTC Sync doesn't see them at all. Any idea how to fis this as well?

My WM touch 3G is no longer function properly, I plan to switch to Sony Experia S. It comes a problem that how all my data stored in WM transfer to android, especially appointments and call log in my old WM transfer to the new android. I usually backup my WM calendar data by PIM backup and the backup file is .csa. Originally I plan to import this .csa file to Outlook 2010, then export to Business Calendar Apps or Gmail. However I find this .csa file cannot be recognized by Outlook. how to export my WM calendar and import to Business Calendar Apps or Gmail? I would prefer to export it to Business Calendar Apps as I don't want to store my personal calendar in google server. I am also looking for how to transfer the call lot too, I try to keep it as possible.

What I'd like to do is avoid asking the user for their username/password since the Android device already has access to their Google account.
I believe I should be able to do this with setUserToken(String), but I can't figure out how to get the appropriate token from Android. I've tried AccountManager.get(context).blockingGetAuthToken() but that's either not the correct call or I'm passing it the wrong arguments. Has anyone gotten gdata working with the user's existing Google credentials on the phone?
I'm a new Droid Eris user and have been using Google Calendar for some time.I have a single calendar set up which is syncing with the Eris.I can successfully add/edit/delete entries from both applications and have them show up just fine on the other side.I have a couple of recurring entries that I've since deleted in Google Calendar but are still showing up on my Eris.The unique thing about both of these entries is that they were meeting requests sent to my Gmail address and accepted from there.They have since been cancelled from the original sender and are now removed from my Google Calendar.My calendar entries are labeled as dark blue, and these two show as light blue.I cannot select them on the Eris to edit or delete them.

I have shared my second calendar with my primary and my appointments for both show up fine online, and in my DX calendar list, it says my second calendar is on there, but nothing is showing up. I've tried adding new appointments both on device and computer, but they don't sync for that calendar.
Am I missing something? Or does anyone know of a calendar app that will sync with a second gmail calendar?
Problem: Appointments / events created on my LG Optimus G were not syncing to desktop Google Calendar. No problem with appointments / events created on desktop syncing down to phone. Problem Identification: Default calendar when creating appointment / event on phone was calendar called "Phone". There is no calendar on desktop called "Phone". Solution: Pick different calendar when creating an appointment / event on your phone.

And I configure the username and pwd from DevTools->Google Service Login successfully. Now I can start the Calendar app successfully, with the month view/week view/etc. But I don't know how to sync the calendars or events with Google Calendar service. However, I hate HTC Calendar and the way it has sync problems with Google Calendar, i would much prefer the stock Android Google Calendar. Anyone know where I can grab the latest one that comes with non-HTC Froyo so I can make my life better?And for anyone skittish about rooting don't be! For the life of me I can't get it to show up on my phone. It doesn't show up in my calendars list under the menu. I've had this problem for weeks.
