My kids uninstalled pdanet and I went to the android market to reinstall it and it says that its still installed. How do I go to completely uninstalling it from my Motorola droid and installing it again.

I purchased a Sony Xperia X10 the other day and rooted it and updated it to the new Build Version R2BA020 (Due to the Wifi Issue and i wanted the extended battery life) and all is well!Though i just want to know how i can uninstall the stock Timescape app that comes pre-installed! I've tried:
settings > Applications > Manage applications
I dont have the option to uninstall.Any Ideas?
I am aware of android BROADCAST_PACKAGE_REMOVED for notify when any application is uninstalling from device.
Now it is possible that when i uninstall one application and that application do some work before and uninstall.
e.g: my application work with android contact if application uninstall at that time i want to change in contact data.
can i get any event for uninstalling app?
Just got the new HTC Incredible. Awesome phone and this forum has already been a huge help, so I figured I'd join and ask my first question.The phone of course came with some apps already installed. I went to uninstall them, but it doesn't show up. Is there a way to do it with out getting all into moving files and all that stuff? I basically want to get rid of Friend Stream and the Desk Clock (since the other app, Clock, has the desk clock and is the same thing, just a different default setting when you open it).I'd like to maybe ditch the GMail app too, because the Mail app is set up to my gmail and does everything I want it to do.

How do you uninstall stuff like that? View 3 Replies View RelatedI downloaded 2 "Home" applications for HTC Hero - dxTop and one more called "Home" (not sure what it is called on the market, but this is what my phone has registered it as).I wanted to uninstall both and dxTop went away fine. But this "Home" application does not show up on My Downloads or the application list under ES File Explorer. I can see it under Settings->Manage Applications, but I don't have an uninstall button. I have cleared the cache and stuff, but to no effect. I cannot even "Force Close" under Manage Applications.This app does not show up on Taskiller either. But I know its there, as every time I press the Home button, it asks me which Home I would like to go to.Its annoying. Is there a way to uninstall it?

View 9 Replies View Relatedwhen i use a file manager to install and apk file.when im finished with it when i uninstall i notice it doesnt free up all the memory it took?for example.earlier i installed spiderman game, i cant remember exact numbers... but phone memory before was say 75mb free. installed and it went to 68mb.when i uninstalled it.. my phone memory only went back up to 70mb as i said example so numbers arent right but thts the main idea. so where is this memory going as i can eventually see my memory being taken up by small parts of apps tht are no longer on phone.how do i free it all back up without hard resetting as i dont wanna have to go throuh the whole restoring everything again.

"Fail to launch PdaNet background service 2, err=61"
I'm running Snow Leopard, but it did the same thing before I upgraded from OS 10.5.
I'm using PDAnet on my HTC magic and speedtest on my computer is reading 1.7 mbps. I am also sharing the connection with my xbox360 to get on live. But Live is laggy. What am I doing wrong.

are there some smarties here that can confirm that PDAnet is safe / secure and doesn't have spyware / adware type capabilities? The reason I ask is because i'll be using it to tether to my laptop. When installing on the laptop...certificate warnings pop up.. the same when installing on droid. (USB debugging warning comes up saying it has to be turned off) which basically means data can be transferred wherever.

View 3 Replies View RelatedJust started happening last week. I have everything up to date. Whenever I text, on my pc the app pops up and says "reconnect failed". If I click 'connect', it says to enable USB tether on the phone, which IS enabled. Whenever this happens, I need to go to the phone, turn off PDAnet and then turn it back on. Everytime. So frustrating.
Anyone else have this problem? Using it on an LG ally btw
So i downloaded the application pdanet on my phone and my computer, but i decided i didn't want it anymore so i uninstalled it on my droid and then i uninstalled it on my computer, but when click on my internet connections (on my computer not my phone) it still shows "PdaNet Modem" in my list of internet connections, but uninstalled pdanet, how do i make this go away because its really annoying.
View 6 Replies View RelatedBeen trying to get the bluetooth to work with my pda net. I am having the hardest time getting the phone to connect to my windows 7 laptop. It seems like sometimes it does, but mostly doesn't connect. It will show up in my list of devices but grayed out. it says something like paired, but not connected. Or maybe its the other way around. Then, when it does appear to be connected, I cant get pda net to work properly. Any advice? Been making me crazy for several days now.
