does anyone use the subfolders function? it doesnt make sense that the subfolders are not listed with the notes in a parent folder (like on "my computer" on pc's). am i missing something? i cant figure out how to get the subfolders to appear with the notes in a given folder.

My project originally contained drawable, drawable-hdpi, drawable- ldpi, layout, etc subfolders, but no drawable-nodpi. How do I add this to the automatic resource build process? I tried to manually create the subfolder and copy files to it, but those resources are not being auto-generated. How do I make Eclipse utilize the new resources subfolder?

My Exchange profile has subfolders, incoming mail is moved automatically with rules to these subfolders. I am getting an alert for mail arriving in my 'Inbox' but not my subfolders. I can manually access my subfolders and see the mail but I am not alerted with mail arriving to my subfolders.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAn hour after my G1 phone was fully charged, the "Battery Usage" showed me that my game had used 20% of the battery usage. Except, I never ran my game (I had run the game before starting the charge). I checked TasKiller, and it didn't list my game as running (my game also doesn't run any services). When I clicked on the details of the battery usage for my game, it didn't list anything under the "Use details" section. Is it possible to use battery, but not have anything listed under the "Use details" section?

I tried a couple of the programs that allow you extra home screens but like some people, I found out running into more troubles.
I decided to create folders and name them on my home page and then put various shortcuts in each folder. I have one for games, one for utilities one for multimedia etc.
My question is, how can I get these to be listed in alpabetical order?
Or is there a way that I can organize the apps in the order that I want them (maybe a list view vs. having the icons listed)?
I realize I could delete every icon in the folder and then manually add them in alphabetical order BUT if I find a new app and move it to a folder, it always puts the icon at the bottom of the list.
I want to debug applications I developed on my phone but I can't.I have an HTC One X with Android 4.1.1 and Windows 7x64. But when I run adb devices the list is always empty. Here a few things I tried.
- I have installed HTC Drivers with ot without the HTC Sync Manager
- I am sure USB debugging mode is enabled
- I just downloaded the Android SDK and checked the version it is the most current.
- I tried turning pc or phone on and off again.
- I tried killing adb process and running it over and over again.
- and here my device manager

how to disable Facebook from being listed in the list of to "Share" items. As Facebook allows only Urls to be posted I have used the Facebook SDK when I need to share a link, picture and message. So I am currently displaying an Alert Dialog with Facebook listed and the second option as Others where I would like to enlist the other items like Gmail/ Y!Mail and twitter etc to share data. I dont want Facebook to appear in this list. So please can anyone let me know how to show all applications except Facebook in the list or any other work around.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have created an basic sound recorder application using MediaRecorder class. It has 3 buttons i.e.
1.Record: Start recording
2.Stop: Stop recording
3.Play: Play recorded file ( 3gp format)
I can record any number of files using this. Each files gets name as audio1,audio2 ..etc.The problem is after recording the file I can play it using play button. But if I exit my application I am not able to see that file listed in music menu in emulator. But at the same time when i browse my sdcard using eclipse I can see the recorded audio file. ( I have aleady mounted sdcard image and can see other sdcard content in emulator)Now if I close the emulator and relaunch it I can see that file in emulator music menu. Now suppose that file name is audio1.3gp. If I record a sound using my app it will record it using name audio1.3gp on same location. This time if I goto music menu I can see audio1.3gp file with latest recorded audio.
The new Incredible site lists a Gallery application that brings in your Picasa Web Albums. I've already installed the apk for the Gallery app that was on the Droid. And as far as I've seen, the Incredible doesn't come with such an app. Anyone else? Go to Features then Feature Apps, then Gallery Apps.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using Frankenrom, and used Titanium to restore my email account settings.
Exchange from my PC is being pushed to my phone, but I can't add anything new from my phone. From the calendar program, if I select Menu-->More-->Calendars, my Exchange calendar isn't listed.
Also, if I go to the main Menu-->Account & Sync, there is no Exchange or Activesync listed. If I go to Add Account, I can select Exchange ActiveSync and it has my account info in it. Clicking Save, it just thinks for a bit then closes. Clicking Discard does pretty much the same thing.
Where could I look to manually delete my ActiveSync account?. Basically I'm looking for a config file somewhere to delete. I'm guessing it is like this since I used Titanium to restore account settings rather than setting it up manually.
Here is the reason for my confusion. There were a lot of back and forth between UD team and Koush with UD 9.8. Ultimately UD withdrew from ROM manager and Koush put up an "unofficial" version of it on ROM manager. Today the UD 10 is now listed on the ROM manager. Is it official? There was a thread about this on DF but the mods closed it with statement" in light of today's events the thread is closed and all comments deleted". So what is going on if anyone knows?

Since the latest update for AppBrain, the list of updates available shows an update for Facebook. However, when I go to instal the update I am taken to the main install page. As if I didn't have Facebook installed already. When I got to the app manager in settings, Facebook is not listed as an installed app. Anyone know what is going on? Can I just download the marketplace Facebook app and not worry about there being two instances of Facebook on my system?

However, I discovered that if I, for instance, put my best friend's cell phone number as a favorite icon I can no longer find his contact to add his home number to a favorites icon. The app seems to allow for only one favorite icon per contact. I am sure I am doing something wrong and there must be a way to have two favorite icons for the same contact but different phone numbers such as home and cell.In addition, sometimes when I add a contact to the Favorites app, the contact is no longer listed or searchable under People. Weird, no?

I'm honestly happy enough with the existing battery -- I have to try REALLY hard to kill it in a day -- but every extra mAh helps, right? Too bad this one is only 100mAh better than stock. Doesn't really seem worth $50 to me. But maybe, since this is listed as their "Standard" battery, they've got an extended one coming down the pipeline. I'd spend $50 for 2000mAh, easy.

I would like to have the SurfaceView be transparent so that I can see through to the background image on its parent RelativeLayout. I have tried the approach shown in the API Demos example TranslucentGLSurfaceViewActivity, but this succeeds in making the transparency go all the way through my Activity to my desktop!
I'm using the "style/Theme.Translucent" theme on my activity, and setting this on my SurfaceView: mySurfaceView.getHolder().setFormat(PixelFormat.RGBA_8888);
The transparency to the desktop it kinda cool, but not what I'm trying to do! Is it possible to make a SurfaceView transparent only through to its parent?
I want to determine the available height and width of the parent layout to which I have to add my view.I have used many methods on layout like
layout.getHeight()
layout.getRootView().getHeight()
All these methods return 0(zero) as the result.My main requirement is to be able to give width to a view that is some % of the width of the layout.Also I dont want to use tag for this. I want to do it through code.
I have the following l relative layout, which I want an Image to the left and an Image to the right, then the rest is filled by TextView. But I can't get the last image to align right of the parent. I have added 'android:layout_alignParentRight="true"' but it does not work. code...
