View 20 Replies View RelatedI have an application that runs only once. But after finishing (finish()), it remains in the history of applications (last opened) and can be opened again. (Long press on the Home button). How do I remove my application from this history? I ask because everything I found, it's a flag in the manifest - 'noHistory'. But it works with Activiti history, not last opened Application history.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy app shows a signup activity the first time the user runs the app, looks like:
ActivitySplashScreen (welcome to game, sign up for an account?)
ActivitySplashScreenSignUp (great, fill in this info)
ActivityGameMain (main game screen)
so the activities launch each other in exactly that order, when the user clicks through a button on each screen.
When the user goes from activity #2 to #3, is it possible to wipe #1 and #2 off the history stack completely? I'd like it so that if the user is at #3, and hits the back button, they just go to the homescreen, instead of back to the splash screen.
I think I can accomplish this with tasks (ie. start a new task on #3) but wanted to see if there was simpler method.
I want to be able to download and install my app from my website, but when i do this at the moment i get the error:-
Download unsuccessful - Cannot Download. The content is not supported on the phone.
After looking into this it became apparent that the PHP Magic, that handles the downloads from the website, recognises the file as a .zip file rather then a .apk file and sends the it a .zip, that the phone does not recognise.
Does anyone know a way to get PHP Magic to recognise the file as an apk so that file extension does not get changed and the phone can recognise it?
Just wondering, because I want to download them

View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there a faster way to delete the Download History on Android phones; instead of having to click each and every item in the history? Every thread I find dealing with deleting the Download History, has to do with deleting the normal browser history, not the Download History.
So is there an easier way? Because I just spent 10 minutes deleting each and every item in my Download History and there has to be an easier way of doing this.
I don't think this is an issue specific to my phone model. When I go into the Android Market (or Play Store) and I look at my apps it previously showed purchased apps but now it shows all the apps I've ever installed. If I want to install an app I purchased previously I have to search through all the hundreds of apps I have ever installed!
I've tried to find a resolution via Google but I keep getting results showing how to clear market search history.
Like I said, previously before I upgraded to ICS the market only showed installed apps and purchased apps that I haven't installed, now it shows every app I have ever installed and it seems to include apps I installed on my android tablet!

i've noticed that once I update a system apk for the first time from the play store, it appears in the "My Apps" list on Google Play. However if I then disable that app, it still appears under the play store history (with "disabled" shown next to it), but with no way to remove it from the My Apps list. Aside from rooting the phone and removing the apk by hand (which I know causes the App to disappear from the My Apps list, disabled or not), and then reloading the apk, but disabling it before google play detects it again, is there any way to remove that app from the My Apps list in the play store? I've tried online through the desktop store but I can't find a way to do that either.

View 14 Replies View RelatedIf you already know how to do this, I apologize. I just thought I'd let people know there's an app that actually successfully erases the market history! I found it last night when I was trying to find a way to delete my "Frequent Calls" list (Worst thing ever!). It's called HistoryEraser. It successfully erased my entire Market History. It also resets frequent calls, google maps searches, call logs, and browser history. Enjoy.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm sure there's some of you out there that will be just excited about this as I am. There's now an app called MarketHistoryEraser that will clear you Android Market searches! No, you don't have to be rooted either! I've waited so long for a way to do this without rooting and it's finally possible. I don't know how to post the QR code here but someone may want to.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI uploaded an app onto the android market, but i found a bug in it and want to remove it for now. How can I do that?
Solution as mentioned below: From the developer console, click the link for your app. Scroll to the bottom, there are 2 buttons - "Unpublish" and "Save". Click "Unpublish"
So I had a question about Credit Card info, after you put it in when purchasing an APP from the Market and it saves your CCard info, how do you "Log out" or in other words stop it from having my CCard info auto logged there under "Select Card" so that if someone is using my phone they cant purchase APPs without having to re-enter all the info?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI made a beta-version of a game which at the beginning was a testing- version. I solved more and more errors and made it faster and faster. Now I am getting to the point that it isn't a beta-version anymore. I have customers who like my free game and I also have old bad comments that my game was not working. Should I remove my beta-version and upload a completely new application to enhance my rating? (All my last comments were good) Or is there a possibility to remove old ratings?
I think it would be much better if the google-market will not include ratings of old versions into the total rating, because apps and versions change over time! Why doesn't google do this and how can I give this advice to google?
