In android there is a broadcast Receiver for incoming SMS.
but in my application i want to capture outgoing SMS through code it is possible in android. There is no any Receiver for outgoing SMS.
How can i implement to capture outgoing SMS.

I've got a dispatch/delivery/tracking application running on (ugh) Windows mobile that allows a signature capture.I really want to port this to Android to give my customers another option (thankfully) from Windows mobile devices.Is it possible to capture a signature on the device? View 1 Replies View RelatedI am writing a Security-oriented application for Android that is supposed to detect abuse of SMS sending.
In my work I encountered the problem of not being able to detect outgoing SMSs sent not through the use of conventional applications, i.e. merely by using SMS Manager's sendTextSMS method.
The conventional SMS applications add the contents of the sent SMS to the SMS Provider after they send it but I can assume that malicious applications will not do that... and neither will they provide the pending intents to the sendTextSMS method to be broadcast upon sending/ delivery.
My question is, is there any way I can detect the sending of the SMS without relying on the SMS provider?
As far as i know there is no way to detect when an outgoing call is accepted at public API level. I can detect incoming calls (with PhoneStateListener), outgoing calls by NEW_OUTGOING_CALL intent, but i can not find a way to distinguish the dialing and connected phone states.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWe are new to Android and creating an application where one of the things we need is to control the outgoing call, at least to be able to stop it from our application. For now we tried using Intent.ACTION_CALL to use existing activity:

But we can't figure out whether it's possible to stop launched by this default Call activity. Is it possible? If yes, how? If not, what should we use to write our own Call activity to make a very simple call? We would want this activity only to be used by our application, not for all outgoing calls.

I would get outgoing call duration a call, I thought to get when the persone to the other side answer my call, but with PhoneStateListener we can get the state of a call, but PhoneStateListener changes state to CALL_STATE_OFFHOOK immediately when the outgoing call starts and not when the person to other side answers, so i can't get the effective time of call during a conversation.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was trying to help my dad set up his email address on his new droid. i ran into a problem where his email provider did not have an outgoing email server that they used and they recommended that we use any other. I set him up a new gmail account and entered in all of their SMTP information for the outgoing.
The problem that we run across is when he sends and email using he main email account it gets sent from the new google account because that is the outgoing server we had to us. this causes a problem with having to send from one account and check from another account when people hit reply to you. Is there a way to fisc this and use a different SMTP server as a proxy but have the recipient see the email come from the original account?
I havn´t been able to find out, how to detect the event (if there are any), when an outgoing call is answered - does anybody know how to do this?

I can detect when call has ended using PhoneStatusListener. I'm using the standard BroadcastReceiver method to stop the call from going out. I explain here for the people who want to do it, also.

I have started developing a tool, which should react on an outgoing call or sms and also to be started at boot time. The start at boot time does work properly, but I'm not able to receive the broadcasts for the outgoing calls.

Based on what I have read in the discussions so far, we can abort a call that has just been initiated by using setResultData(null) on the BroadcastReceiver. This just means we can effectively censor calls only. Not exactly what I am trying to achieve.
If the ability to abort a call after it has started ringing is not supported by the SDK, what other means is there for me to achieve this? Are there any internal functions that I can use?
I thought I had seen some application where you can call someone and have it go straight to their voicemail. I've been looking around and haven't been able to find it. Does anyone know if such an app exists.
