I just bought the full version of this app. I tested it by downloading an excel sheet from an email. But there is no option to save, and it doesn't appear that you can edit it. Is this just a viewer?

The only thing I'd like to do that I have not yet figure out HOW to do is attachment documents to emails. This is very important to me because I am job hunting and need to respond right away when I get or see a job opening. I use GMail. I have my resume saved as a GMail doc. I don't know what to use - can I send via GMail docs or do I need to creak a Quick account?

Two days ago, we uploaded a new version of the full version of our app (SpecTrek) to the market. Improvements include support for QVGA and WVGA screens.
We changed nothing in the "Developer Console" (Language: en_US, "All locations" selected).
Now we have received the first complaint of a Droid user who cannot find the full version on the market. The light version (that has not been upgraded yet) can be found ok. The good news is that the light version seems to work on the Droid, something we couldn't really test (except for some simulator runs on 2.0).
So presumably we did something stupid in the upgraded version. I can only assume it must be something in the manifest, as it seems unreasonably to assume the market software looks at anything else in the apk.
The only change in the manifest (besides versionCode/versionName) is the following:
CODE:.....................
There is also a "uses-sdk" entry, but that didn't change: <uses-sdk android:minSdkVersion="3" />
Is there anyone with a Droid that can verify the full version is not available to them (searching for 'SpecTrek' should find both the light and full versions)?
I have done a small app for the ADC2 and now i want to make a free light version for the Android market and one full version that will cost some cents.
My question now to all who have done something similar: How have you designed your application(s)? I have thought about a few solutions to this problem:
1.) Duplicate the code in two different android projects Not a very good idea, duplicate code is always bad.
2.) Create some sort of library to use in two different projects. With this i could share the business logic of my app, but not the activities (at least this is what i think) And using the activities from one project in another project would be great.
3.) Include all needed code (business logic, activities, ...) from one project (the full version) in my light version. This way i would achieve some sort of new "view" to the code basis. This would be the best solution i think, but i do not know how to achieve this.
So to everybody who has done a full and light version of one and the same app: How have you done this?
Does anyone have a solution to the issue when using the mobile paypal site?
When using ebay it directs you to the mobile site, which never works right and is utterly worthless and the app doesn't do much better, is the a way to get back the full version of paypal and avoid the mobile site?
When I try to edit apn it will not save just go blank on the cliq. I have a t-mobile mytouch and I edit the apn and my att sim works fine. Also I have an old t-mobile sim when I put it in the cliq it shows the old apn, but will not show anything with the att sim. I want to unlock this but I want to know I can use it before I go through that effort.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI managed to handle a full size image (2048x1536) (moving around, zooming, some colorfilters, etc). However, i can only load these images in memory as RGB_565, one at a time. I try to free as much bitmap memory as possible (by recycling every possible bitmap cached/ open in my app), and then load the full-sized image in RGB_565 format. This works well.
The user can make some modifications (color balance, brightness, etc) and I like to save the resulting image in a JPEG file. However, on screen, all edits are shown in RGB_565. You can see the posterization because of the reduced pixel-depth. The quality degradation on the screen is a minor problem. My main problem is to apply these edits to the actual and higher quality ARGB_8888 data of the original JPEG file.
Trying to load a ARGB_8888 JPEG file with size 2048x1536 is not possible. I get an out-of-memory error. Is there any way to apply color-filters to ARGB_8888 data (instead of RGB_565) so that i won't lose a lot of image-quality when trying to save modifications into a JPEG file?
I would like to be able to save& view the data from 3 edit text fields and a date pick to an SQL lite DB. Can anybody point me to a decent beginners tutorial or perhaps give me an idea of where to start?
