There are so many cool looking home screens and wallpapers that I can't make up my mind. May 1, 2010I want to change wallpaper. I go into stock photos. I view them in full screen. I want to see that full screen as my background. It makes me crop. Even when stretching out, I can only get 1/2 of it max. Why cant it just take the screen exactly how it is and make it my wallpaper?
I went to the wallpaper thread to take their pictures. i used the pits penguin for example. it was perfect. it made me crop it so i couldn't even get the entire logo, then when i set it it blew it up huge and gross.

I see people completely customizing there EVO's I would love to know how to do it. I see some of the screens and they look good. I just need a how to along with possible apps to use so I can make my evo officially "MY EVO!" This is my first android phone so its kinda hard for me really. Whenever I use my facebook widget or handcent quick reply, as i'm typing with the virual portrait mode keyboard once I reach a certain amount of characters my screen flashes and one of the default wallpapers that comes with the droid replaces my LWP. Feb 26, 2010I just got the eris a couple weeks ago, and then the trackball died so verizon sent me a new one. Now on the new phone when I try to change my homescreen wallpaper, it always wants to zoom in on the image. I'm not sure how to explain it, but it will let me use the full width, but not the full length while looking at the phone with the buttons on the bottom. So I have an image that is 320x480, and it wants to crop it down to 200x200 for example. It zooms in and makes it a square, instead of a rectangle like the screen is. I just want the wallpaper to be what it looks like when the image first opens from the photo album app. But as soon as I try to make it a wallpaper it wants to zoom in and make the photo look dumb.

General :: Change Wallpaper On Settings Submenus In CM7?
Jun 20, 2012I currently use a HTC HD Mini (Photon) running the SCREAM ROM by Ling Gan. It has a few bugs for most of which there is either a workaround or fix but there is the one problem which has remained unsolved: the default wallpaper on everything BUT the home and lockscreens cannot be changed. It is of a tree in a meadow under a blue sky and when rotated to landscape changes to some smiling chinese lady in the "settings" submenu. Doesn't hamper use much but it is quite annoying.
I have tried a number of solutions some of which resulted in my having to reflash and others did nothing. I post this here because I think it is a CM7 issue. The ROM developers have so far been unable to post a solution within the thread and I am aware that a fix for similar problems on CM9 ROMs exists using ADB to edit framework-res.apk. I felt it was time the problem was tackled by the wider XDA fam. Used google translate to look on the chinese site where the ROM is native to (mobile-kon) but found nothing as well.
