View 5 RepliesEx-Blackberry user here. I had and Loved Berry Weather by Bellshare. I cannot for the life of me find something comparable. I love the HTC weather widget, but want to be able to see other weather related items like % chance of rain, hourly etc. I have weather.com's install as a supplement to HTC's, but I'd rather have something all inclusive. I do not mind paying money for this. Any help on a Good weather app?
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I installed DamageControl v2.08.1 on my cdma Hero the calendar and date are 24 hours off! Time is correct but it's the next day. When I did a back up of this install it even used the wrong date on the backup. I have a bunch of small issues that I think with patience I may be able to work around but this clock/date thing has me puzzled. Also has anyone figured out how to put a custom city in for the weather widget and not one of the ones listed but for example a small town (any town) some where in the USA? I could do this on my 1.5 but this weather widget acts like the clock and you can only use their listed cities.

I'm not looking to track the users behavior or anything, I just what stats on the average use of my app.
Do those numbers seem normal to the rest of you? Right now if I am using my phone for browsing, video, etc. it will run the battery from full charge to dead in just under 4 hours. If I just leave the phone turned on but with no apps running (standby) it runs out of power in roughly 48 hours. Is this the battery life I should expect from this phone?
View 6 Replies View RelatedFor example, I want to parse the string below:
Tue Sep 28 18:02:24 GMT+08:00 2010
And I use the pattern for the SimpleDateFormat:
new SimpleDateFormat("EEE MMM dd HH:mm:ss zzzzzzzzz yyyy");
But I keep getting the ParseException.
I tap weather icon, get current location no city name and the weather info, I then tap "+" hit my location and it finds my city Corning NY, I add this to the weather app, I close out and hit weather app again and now I have to locations, the one that says current location and the one that says Corning NY, both weather datas are the same. My question is how to I delete or get rid of the current location weather data screen and have only the Corning NY screen when I open the weather app? The data for both is the same but I don't want 2 locations(one named) for the same data.

Weather Face decorates your phone screen with different weather animations, including rain, snow, lightning, cloud, and sunshine. For instance, clouds float on your screen when it is cloudy outside. I have a demo video on Youtube :
I LOVE the beautiful weather widget and the corresponding live wallpaper. My only question is if anyone knows if it does wetaher alerts like the weather channel widget does. I love TWC widget as it has awesome wetaher alert capability along with an easily accessible radar map that's fullly interactive - anything similar on beautiful weather?
View 3 Replies View RelatedFor a truly amazing weather App check out Animated Weather.
The web site describes it as: Animated Weather for Android - Weather forecast application. The exquisitely realistic video effects of cloudiness, rain and snow provide the vivid sensation of current or future weather conditions for more than 50000 locations over the world.
As good as the App is now the upcoming "Features in Development" are even more exciting.
I have the new Droid X but I love the Weather app that came on his phone, how it updates his location as he moves about as well as the weather updates. This would be greatly beneficial to me as I travel all day and work outside. Anyone know of a weather widget that does this?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI have News and Weather set to "Use my location". Up until yesterday, it was working fine. Now the weather tab gives me the message "No weather location available." It will only give me weather if I enter a specific location. I have GPS turned on and other applications that need to find my location, such as Compass, seem to be able to.

View 2 Replies View RelatedCan anyone recommend a weather widget that displays the current weather based on location? Preferably cell tower info instead of gps and one that only used data every set interval based on my settings so that it doesn't use data constantly.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo since the 2.1 OTA my weather widget will display the city, but no weather icon. if i sync it manually, it will show up. with 1.5 it would update every 3 hours, regardless if i had Background data on or off (i normally keep it off).
so now with 2.1 it wont sync unless i have BG data on, or do it manually. any way around this?
It just says 'my location' on the home screen, shows the time but not the weather.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI tried removing it and adding it back about ten times and it still won't show the weather..just says "my location" under the clock. If I click on the clock and load it, I can then click on the clock and it will load the weather screen, updated and all...but it still refuses to load it on the home screen with the time. Happened a few days after froyo update. How can I get the weather back as part of the clock widget??

Mine worked for a day and now I get the location but no weather update.
All other locations display all info fine.

So I got the 2.2 Update. If I try adding the News & Weather widget, the weather is always wrong. Always has the sun on all night and temperature is wrong too. I checked all options of course, should work fine. Has anyone else encountered this?
View 6 Replies View RelatedHow I get my weather/clock widget to show the local weather? it currently shows the weather in my capital city but it used to show the local weather of the suburb I am in when I'm in different suburbs? View 4 Replies View RelatedMy wife really likes the weather animations with the stock Sense UI weather widget. However, she is running LP and cannot use that widget anymore. Does anyone know of a weather/clock widget that still gives you those animations that can be used with LP?
I have beautiful widgets currently, but it doesn't show the full screen animations like she likes (windshield wipers if it is raining, bright sunlight when sunny, etc.).
The HTC Weather App give me a current temp of 84. Weather Channel App says 90. Where the heck is the HTC App getting it's data? Any way to link to HTC weather (and time) app to weather channel? That's a big difference.

Maybe it's just my imagination but ever since I started using the Weather Channel app it seems like my battery doesn't last as long. Does anyone know if it uses more battery juice than Weather Bug? I was going to download Weather Bug again to compare the two but I can't seem to find the free version any more.
