Anyone knows of a weather application for the evo that is something like berrryweather?.......that it will give you a sever weather alert in the notification bar?

I LOVE the beautiful weather widget and the corresponding live wallpaper. My only question is if anyone knows if it does wetaher alerts like the weather channel widget does. I love TWC widget as it has awesome wetaher alert capability along with an easily accessible radar map that's fullly interactive - anything similar on beautiful weather?
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to stop the Weather Chanel from broadcasting alerts. In San Francisco, wind and rain, constitute alerts. So this week there's a new alert every hour or two. I know it's raining and I know it's windy. It seems to be draining the battery.I've looked in the menu but I can't figure out how to stop the alerts from waking up my phone all the time. Any suggestions other than uninstalling?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI live in southern Illinois in an area that gets tornados, floods, straight line winds, and some pretty wicked storms. The last couple times we had tornado warnings my phone did the NOAA weather alert noise. I really like that, since it gives us a heads up about the weather.
But I got one this morning (flash floods until 1pm) and I noticed that my tablet did not go off. After doing some digging I found out that the alerts only go to cell connected devices. Since my Nexus 7 is only wifi I was wondering if you all had any apps that could alert us on my tablet. The things I'm looking for in such an app is that it emits the extreme weather noise when the alert goes out (a red icon in the status bar), and the ability to tell the app to not alert me for things like high winds.
I like the Weather Channel App, but the alerts are driving me crazy.Maybe I just live in a volatile area, but sheesh it seems like the app is constantly alerting me to heavy rain, then high winds, then this, then that. I don't need any of that!(I have a window.)Is there any way to turn these alerts OFF?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI tap weather icon, get current location no city name and the weather info, I then tap "+" hit my location and it finds my city Corning NY, I add this to the weather app, I close out and hit weather app again and now I have to locations, the one that says current location and the one that says Corning NY, both weather datas are the same. My question is how to I delete or get rid of the current location weather data screen and have only the Corning NY screen when I open the weather app? The data for both is the same but I don't want 2 locations(one named) for the same data.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo since the 2.1 OTA my weather widget will display the city, but no weather icon. if i sync it manually, it will show up. with 1.5 it would update every 3 hours, regardless if i had Background data on or off (i normally keep it off).
so now with 2.1 it wont sync unless i have BG data on, or do it manually. any way around this?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI tried removing it and adding it back about ten times and it still won't show the weather..just says "my location" under the clock. If I click on the clock and load it, I can then click on the clock and it will load the weather screen, updated and all...but it still refuses to load it on the home screen with the time. Happened a few days after froyo update. How can I get the weather back as part of the clock widget??

HTC Weather Widget broken?
Mine worked for a day and now I get the location but no weather update.
All other locations display all info fine.
Im in Australia on Vodafone - although from the previous mentioned thread seems to be software related rather than carrier location
So I got the 2.2 Update. If I try adding the News & Weather widget, the weather is always wrong. Always has the sun on all night and temperature is wrong too. I checked all options of course, should work fine. Has anyone else encountered this?

It also used to update the weather every hour and show a sun in the day and a moon at night but now even at 12 at night it still shows the sun. I've also set the weather sync in settings to update ever hour. does anyone know what it could be thats different in my phone now?

It keeps saying when i refresh weather info unavailable. IS anyone else having this problem? This just started happening yesterday morning prior to that i had no problems with it. The news portion is working fine.

I have beautiful widgets currently, but it doesn't show the full screen animations like she likes (windshield wipers if it is raining, bright sunlight when sunny, etc.).

I have the new Droid X but I love the Weather app that came on his phone, how it updates his location as he moves about as well as the weather updates. This would be greatly beneficial to me as I travel all day and work outside. Anyone know of a weather widget that does this?

Maybe it's just my imagination but ever since I started using the Weather Channel app it seems like my battery doesn't last as long. Does anyone know if it uses more battery juice than Weather Bug? I was going to download Weather Bug again to compare the two but I can't seem to find the free version any more.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI hope this is the right section to post this, I have an HTC / G2 on a T-Mobile UK contract. I'm after a good weather forecast app that works well for the UK and Europe. I also use WeatherPro on my iPOD Touch (when I can link up to my home WiFi) and it is great - it picks up small towns, gives 5 day forecasts, 24 hour forecasts broken down into 3 hour time slots, shows satellite and radar, temperatures in 'F and 'C, windspeed and direction. It is very accurate too! I can't find it on the Android Market though.
