Essentially, I want to use a Linear Layout with horizontal orientation, but when the child views' total width is greater than the width of the screen, to wrap to the next line/row. In particular, I'm using a Radio Group (with radio buttons determined at runtime) where it would be much better to do this wrapping rather than use vertical orientation. Is there a layout that supports this?

Dec 13, 2009The Android 2.0 web browser included with the Milestone (UK version) does not wrap text on web pages. This forces me to zig-zag right and left to read text on a page, rendering the web browser near unusable. I've tried chaning the text size or default zoom levels but nothing works: it's like viewing an image version of the webpage.Is this bug particular to the Milestone?

Feb 4, 2012I've been trying several browsers and only Miren browser had the feature I need. I mean then I loaded pages stays loaded until I close the tabs/browser manualy.
All the other browsers keeps reloading pages then I don't need them to reload. For example - open some website, go to other app, then turn off mobile network and wifi, then go back to internet browser and it's only blank page (or an error page).
Recently I have flashed ICS ROM and now Miren browser FC sometimes.. I guess it's because of Miren browser is no longer supported and some ICS incompatabilities or ROM problems..
So any other browser which doesn't reload pages when apps being switched back and forth? Or way to keep all browser loaded tabs (in cache(?)) so it don't need to reload so much?
General :: How To Install APK From SD Card Using Internet Browser
Jun 6, 2012What if you need to install an apk from sdcard but you don't have a file manager installed yet.And to make things worse you don't have internet access to download it from the market!Here's what you need to do:
1. Put the apk file in the main directory of your sdcard. Rename it to something very short for easy typing. In this example, I will use "fm.apk".
2. Boot your device. Goto Security Settings and check "Unknown Sources".
3. Open your internet browser. In the address bar type "file:///sdcard/<filename>.apk". (Without the double quotes of course).In our example above it should look like this: file:///sdcard/fm.apk
4. Press "Go". That's it! Installation started!

Apr 16, 2013I have 3 android devices (xperia s, htc one x and a galaxy s3) connected to a wifi network. This is kind of a protected network and there is a firewall involved. Also the devices are getting IP via DHCP. The problem is that i am able to access web site via browser but when i try from the application, its showing i don't have internet connection. There is no proxy configured in this network. There is an IP filtering in the router which filters the IPs starting with a particular series. But the web site and the application which i am trying to use are supposed to use this IP series.

You can try as many times as you like to view the page but it will always get stuck.The only way I have found to cure this is to force stop the internet app, then everything is fine again. I've tried clearing caches, wifi, lowering the kernel MHz, yet the issues still persist. Oct 10, 2010I've recently bought the Xperia X10 mini handset and since it was unable to download the settings from my service provider, I had to manually do the APN setup.
However, I was successful getting the internet from my handset browser but not from the applications like Email, Gmail, GTalk, Sony Ericsson Sync, and Market. I've got the notification icon for EDGE data transmission and is being indicated when accessed from the browser but not from the applications.
Do I need to do any other setting in order to access the internet from the applications? Can someone please help me setting up?
