If i have implemented a database in an application. So what ever the tables i create in that database will be saved in /data/data/packagename/databasess My question is how many tables i can create or how much data can i insert. How to know capacity of the database.In which factors will it depends.

I use Runtime.getRuntime().freeMemory() but it can only retrieve your current application... View 2 Replies View RelatedLost tunes? The stock Music app on my Motorola Droid running Android 2.0.1 was able to play ~200MB of .wma files which it found automagically. I was initially impressed that no configuration was required. After I uploaded more .wma files (I have 7.4GB of them now) neither the stock Music app nor several independent apps can see any of them. This is true even if I use settings to narrow the world to one album's worth of music.
Have I overloaded the capacity of the android's music API? Is my Droid allergic to music ripped by Zune? I may have to remove albums one by one and keep trying the player to see if there is a bad file, deep directory tree or special character that is bombing it out.
Does somebody has experienced with getting how many SMS can be received in Android phone ? I can't find any clue in my G1 nor other posts in this group.

It wouldn't be that hard for an app to test. Just monitor how much gets used and how much gets put back into the battery. If there isn't an app is there another way I can test the capacity of this battery? I have a lipo battery charger if that could work.

I turned off the phone and then pressed the "send + center + end" combination to get into the diagnostics console. From there you can scroll down to the battery info and in there you can see how much charge is really left. For some reason the OS can't read from this and reports incorrect battery life.

Thus, memory and processing speed is quite an issue. However there will be only one XML response at a time so processing or holding multiple XML documents at a time is not an issue.
As fas as I understood there are three ways of parsing XML with the Android SDK:
SAX
XmlPullParser
DOM
Reading about these different parsing methods I got that SAX is recommended for large XML files as it won't hold the complete tree in memory like DOM.
However, I'm asking myself what is large in terms of kilobytes, megabytes, ...? Is there a practical size up to which it does not really matter whether using SAX or DOM?
I am going to install first application in my android phone, but having some doubts

Update:
This time i am having 58Mb application from that 52.5MB Images and it runs on the my HTC Hero mobile but On Emulator, it shows an error:
Failed to upload my_application.apk on device 'emulator-5554'
java.io.IOException: Unable to upload file: No space left on device
Launch canceled!
Way to store images inside the Drawable folder? is there any way to zip the images or such method?
