I have like a 100 images in my assets folder and i want to be able to curl them with the finger (no button) to make the app more dynamic. Is there an animation that lets me do this? Im also wondering if i have to create a 100 activities for this manually :( or can i turn them and show the next picture in the same activity?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have the giant clock/weather widget on my homescreen (the one that comes on the phone when you first get it and the one most people probably use). I have seen animations of this clock on the HTC site that show the digits flipping over. And you would think it would do that anyway based on the design. However, I noticed my doesn't really flip. The digits just change instantaneously. No flipping animation. Is this just mine or is that how it is? I was actually hoping it would flip because I always thought it looked neat.

A Curl animation is animation of pages flipping, including the page above rolling and the shadows over the lower page. What is the recommended way to do a "gallery" that displays two pages at a time (just like a book)?
Is it:
Letting the adapter display a linear layout of two images at a time? (it won't let me show a page flipping over the other like a book) Using two pages, placing somehow one near the other, and then when it's time to animate -move the next two pages over? What is the better way that would enable displaying the left page flipping over the right page?
Actually what i trying is
1)get the pdf file from server.
2)and apply page curl effect on pdf file.
I would like to have my android app ignore flip, is that possible? I added android:screenOrientation="portrait" to all of my activities but that is about as effective as the close door button on an elevator.

But the process continues and a few minutes later i get the same error.

I heard HTC made 3rd party makers like Weather Widget remove their similar designed flip clock widgets but is there any way to still get it somewhere on my Droid? I want the exact same look as the ones you see on HTC.
View 21 Replies View RelatedI had uninstalled the Weather Widgets app with the HTC style flip clock because I had falsely believed it was causing some FC crashed on my Droid. When I re-installed it, it appears that the flip clock now defaults to a transparent backing with white lettering. Is there any way to get it back to plain white with black lettering? I haven't installed any extras...just the default. Attached is a screen cap of what the flip clock looks like now. I want to get it back to the traditional HTC style flip clock look. Any ideas?

Default is nice, but I'd like to tweak it just a tad, and it says it's skinnable.I just haven't figured out how.well, as usual, as soon as I posted I went back and played with it some more, and it looks like you have to configure it as an app, then install the widget. View 4 Replies View RelatedSo I just finished my ota 2.2 update... since the install everything has been working great however when I open the camera (still or video) it will not open. The screen will turn black with the camera or video image and then go back to the home screen. I have tried restarting the phone with the same results. Any suggestions? Has anyone else experienced this? btw I was unrooted and stock if that makes a difference prior to the update.

I do like the "flip clock" design though. I have looked around for an alternative and have found the following solutions:
BeautifulWidget small home widgetThis looks nice, especially with the right skin, but it's still a 4x1 widget and the clock itself is not centered even when hiding the weather part of it. Is it possible at all to have the clock centered? Digital World Clock widgetThis one is a 2x1 widget without weather, which means I can center it at the top of the screen. Unfortunately the date display is bogus on a French locale phone, it does not respect the date format (day month year) and the name of the day of the week (Thursday) gets displayed as a number (5) I have contacted the author about that, I'll see if he replies.
Does anyone know how to turn off the sound when you turn the phone on?
