Android : Way To Turn / Flip / Curl Image In Droid?
Nov 22, 2010I have like a 100 images in my assets folder and i want to be able to curl them with the finger (no button) to make the app more dynamic. Is there an animation that lets me do this? Im also wondering if i have to create a 100 activities for this manually :( or can i turn them and show the next picture in the same activity?

Jun 10, 2010Is there a simple way to do the Curl page flipping animation? A Curl animation is animation of pages flipping, including the page above rolling and the shadows over the lower page. What is the recommended way to do a "gallery" that displays two pages at a time (just like a book)?
Is it:
Letting the adapter display a linear layout of two images at a time? (it won't let me show a page flipping over the other like a book) Using two pages, placing somehow one near the other, and then when it's time to animate -move the next two pages over? What is the better way that would enable displaying the left page flipping over the right page?

Mar 20, 2009You've probably seen the effect on the iPhone when you go to the next screen, it flips the screen, making it appear, like you just flipped over a card and a new screen appeared. There is a demo of something similar in the APIDemos (Views/Animation/ 3D Transition), but the transitions are between elements of the same page. Is there a way to implement the flip effect between Activities (in the same process)?

Jan 11, 2010I have the giant clock/weather widget on my homescreen (the one that comes on the phone when you first get it and the one most people probably use). I have seen animations of this clock on the HTC site that show the digits flipping over. And you would think it would do that anyway based on the design. However, I noticed my doesn't really flip. The digits just change instantaneously. No flipping animation. Is this just mine or is that how it is? I was actually hoping it would flip because I always thought it looked neat.

Jan 18, 2010I was waiting for Passion for months after reading posts here, literally coming here every day for rumor confirmed, but you all know that's history now. In the stock browser I can turn page by flicking finger on the screen, but isn't using hardware rocker much more precise? Is there a way to do that? In dolphin the rocker sort of does that, but it makes an annoying beep as well. I can turn off sound beforehand to avoid that, but it's easy to forget to turn up sound afterwards. I migrated from HTC 6800 (WM6), the rocker smartly only changes volume when using the phone, while in other situations it smartly turns page instead. Can Droid be up to that?

Jan 15, 2012Often at night when I use phone lowest brightness is still bright so I found apps which can dim it further but then they loose screen contrast too making it difficult to read.
Is there any app which can make night mode of selected apps (browser/gtalk/gmail/other few user selectable apps) background dark & font light / white similar to youtube app?
UC browser had this night mode earlier but latest version they have removed this feature. Ideally such app should be time sensitive & as the night time approaches it should start applying the night mode.

curl: (22) The requested URL returned error: 404 Not Found Server does not provide clone.bundle; ignoring.
But the process continues and a few minutes later i get the same error.

Apr 5, 2010I had uninstalled the Weather Widgets app with the HTC style flip clock because I had falsely believed it was causing some FC crashed on my Droid. When I re-installed it, it appears that the flip clock now defaults to a transparent backing with white lettering. Is there any way to get it back to plain white with black lettering? I haven't installed any extras...just the default. Attached is a screen cap of what the flip clock looks like now. I want to get it back to the traditional HTC style flip clock look. Any ideas?
