so new to pda and love my eris but some reason I was in below freezing weather and screen timed out then a bunch of lines came on phone and wont go away. V is sending me a new phone since I have only had it 2 weeks so no worries there. My question is will have to enter all my calender info, contacts, pics and apps I installed all over again or is there away I can save all of that info. I have videos music etc also on it.

Is there a way to save the information you've accumulated for wifi? In miui, I was able to save all wifi data in the backup utility and transfer it to new builds. I haven't been able to find an app that does this. I have Titanium Pro but I'm unsure if it has that capability.
Is there a way I can store wifi data such as access points and passkeys then restore it on later builds?
So I have a D2 and I'm using Handcent as my default text messaging program. I'm running stock other than that and Launcher Pro homescreen.

Would using Odin to flash CWM Recovery and doing a nandroid backup and then restoring the phone to factory settings. Would it somehow save everything in the internal memory and fix the phone?

This phone does not take Micro SD cards but it comes with 50GB Google Drive storage. However i haven't used this at all. I am wondering whether i could download android apps and games to google drive, dropbox etc. Games like Real Racing take up about 1GB so i cannot download it to my phone. Can i download it to the Cloud? If this is not possible, is there any way that i could save the app data on the cloud. E.g. The Simpsons: Tapped Out is about 37mb to download off the play store, but then you must download the updates etc which are about another 250mb. is there anyway to save this 250mb on the cloud. Or any other games data.

For example, if I type "thr" it won't suggest "the" but "Theo". I see a lot of games on the marketplace that require this information and I just don't see the point in a game where I toss paper into a trash can needing to know my location at the time I am using the app. Do any of the rest of you see any red flags that turn you off of certain apps despite how cool they may seem?
View 6 Replies View Relatedso i have gone thru everything i can find on this forum but i am at my wits end. i have been able to get my outlook contacts into my gmail account (the csv import worked reasonably well). what i don't understand is that i can view a contact in gmail and see phone numbers, address, email, etc. when i view on the G1 all i get is their email. what am i doing wrong? yes, i have gone in the "display groups" settings and tried all options. anybody else having this problem? BTW, so far i like the functionality of the starcontacts application.
