View 2 RepliesNow I write one app and have some problem - I need to show real-time outgoing call duration. But I do not know when I should start timer. I must start when get answer from other side. I tried TelephonyManager.EXTRA_STATE_OFFHOOK -- but it's state is when I press call-button..
OFFHOOK is the state when call is placed.
So we should be notified when the call is received. How can we get that?
When I should start count outgoing time?
I am working on a application ,where I want to assign a silent ringtone to a particular contact for a duration of time period. Please provide me some suggestion I do not have any idea to implement it.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI need someone to test my First app I did. It is reworked and extended version of Android DatePicker app here: Date Picker | Android Developers. I don't have Android creature, because I am out of the Google test area. My app shows Time Duration using the DatePicker Dialog twice
The result can be seen on the image.
Please email me and I'll attach the tDurator.apk for you. I need feedback about the working state of the app when rotating the Nexus 1 device, but anyone having at least Android system 1.5 (level 3 on the SDK) can run the app. The app is signed for release and in not harm to the phone.
I would get outgoing call duration a call, I thought to get when the persone to the other side answer my call, but with PhoneStateListener we can get the state of a call, but PhoneStateListener changes state to CALL_STATE_OFFHOOK immediately when the outgoing call starts and not when the person to other side answers, so i can't get the effective time of call during a conversation.

View 6 Replies View RelatedHow much time it takes for your battery to drop 10% when you're on 4G doing no downloads, no streaming, no Youtubing, nothing? In my case just 30 min. Complete discharge in approx 4 hours The temperature is very hot too. Do not put it under the pillow.check it out, this is ultimately just a 30 min test, and post it here (say to voice dialer "Open battery Info" for battery numbers and temperature instead of bars)

View 1 Replies View RelatedAt about 5-10 seconds into a call (either outgoing or incoming), my transmissions are muffled for about 10 seconds. Thereafter, I have occasional intermittent similar problems. I can always hear the other party perfectly; they just can't hear me. It happens with either the built-in mic or the corded headset or bluetooth.
View 8 Replies View RelatedMy Inc worked well for about the first-ish month. I sometimes had "muddy" call quality and the caller would drop in and out (to the point I thought they hung up, but I would start hearing them again). I attributed this to the caller's device/network and not my device.
I went from noticing this just a few times, to almost all calls have the problem now, to some degree. It does not matter if using the ear or external speaker. GPS through the speaker is perfectly clear and so is playing movies and music.
This suggest it is not an audio output problem, but an actual voice call problem. It is getting so bad that I am beginning to dislike the Inc, since phone calls are obviously a critical function of the device. Everything else works fine.
I don't remember my DroidX always doing this, but recently after I hang-up from a call it shows the "Call Time XX:XX" in the center of the screen and I can't do anything until it goes away, which is generally 5-8 seconds. Hitting Home, Back, etc does nothing and tapping on the screen or the message also does nothing.Is this a setting I can disable? I can look at the recent calls to get the length of call if I need to see it, so I don't need the dramatic pause to give me this info.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've had two HTC hero's on T-Mobile, and on my old one I used to be able to check the time I made or received a call on the 'call history' display. I had that phone stolen and got a replacement that is identical but running newer software, I think. All is great, except for the fact that it no longer displays the time a call was made or received in the history. I see this as a very important feature to have on a phone, so how can I get it to work properly? At present it just says the date - no time.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAnyone know how to see the time of call instead of just the date in my Hero's Call History?

I used PhoneAlarm to do my call forwarding when I was on the "other" platform. It dialed my call forwarding number based on time of day. I know Locale has the capability but there is no plugin to do it. Does ANYONE have an App or know how I can call forward based on location or time of day or to at least call any number based on this criteria? I do not, or I should say, cannot use Google Voice since I have no account and they are not taking any more users.
View 5 Replies View RelatedHave been wondering whether there is an app out on the market that blocks phone calls at certain periods of time throughout the day! Such as at night time, I get obnoxious calls that wake me up! Or while I'm in class... Is there such an app that blocks phone calls from like 12AM to 7AM. I've been googling like crazy and I can only find apps that block certain phone numbers.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI need to display an alert message for no more than a half a second. As I understand it, Toast only has 2 available durations, with no way to alter them. Correct me if I'm wrong. Which leads me to sing the AlertDialog. What would be the best way of displaying a dialog for 500ms and then dismissing it?

View 3 Replies View RelatedAt the moment I am using this code to inquire google maps for directions from an address to another one, then I simply draw it on a mapview from its GeometryCollection. But yet this isn't enough I need also to extract the total expected duration from the kml. give a little sample code?
code:........................
I'm writing an app for Android OS, and I need to store some time values in the SQLite DB. I have been using android.text.format.Time to store the time values in the app, and then inserting the values as millis into the DB as REAL values. On the SDK emulator, everything works perfectly. On the sole phone I've had the opportunity to test my app (so far), my duration code doesn't work as expected. Some relevant code:
private static final String DATABASE_CREATE =
"create table " + DATABASE_TABLE + " ("
+ KEY_ROWID + " integer primary key autoincrement, "
+ KEY_START + " REAL, "
+ KEY_STOP + " REAL, "
+ KEY_DUR + " REAL );";
private SQLiteDatabase mDb;
ContentValues timerValues = new ContentValues();
timerValues.put(KEY_START, stime.toMillis(false));
timerValues.put(KEY_STOP, etime.toMillis(false));
timerValues.put(KEY_DURATION, stime.toMillis(false)-etime.toMillis(false));
int result = mDb.insert(DATABASE_TABLE, null, timerValues);
I pull this data from two separate functions with slightly different bits of code, both using Time.set(long millis), both giving incorrect results: The start and stop values come back correct, but the duration comes out 17 hours too large. Am I missing something about calculating durations or does this just seem like there's something "special" about this particular droid? I'll have another droid to test on Monday, but any ideas are appreciated.
Just started happening today. Every call I try to make gives me Call has been lost. I have 2-3 bars, didn't have a problem yesterday. I think I can still receive calls, as I just got one right before I needed to dial out. Tried calling several #'s in my contacts list. Anyone have a fix or suggest? I've powered down my phone once already.
