I've updated (uploaded a new version) of my app, TimeTracker, twice in the past couple of months, and in both cases, the new upload has not shown up in the "by date" sorted list of the Market app. When I search for the app, I see the correct version in the Market, and I can find it in the correct category by scrolling down; it is just that the updates aren't being correctly sorted.

I am sorting my database depending on date. The date field in SQLite is nothing but a string, stored in the form of dd-mm-yyyy. How do i carry out the sorting.
My idea is to create a dummy table.Convert the date in a format yyyymmdd. Then sort it simply using sort by date column.Then again drop the table.
Does anyone else wish that the Android Market had sort options? I know when I browse the Market, I can filter by paid apps vs free apps. That's part-way there... I also want to be able to sort by rating/ranking (# of stars), number of times downloaded, cost, and so on. Also, carry these sort options over to the Search. It's even worse as you have paid and free apps mixed together.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIn Android 2.1, when I am opening Calendar application, going to Agenda view and from their if I go to Day schedule, that date is shown as "Thursday 01-Jan-1970" in title bar. It is not picking system date.
This is same case for week and Month view. In week schedule it is showing "December 1969 - January 1970" and for Month it display "January 1970" at Calendar title bar. This is happening when I go to day/month/week schedule from Agenda page.
I am not seeing any error in logcat message when wrong date is displayed.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI just finished the update to 2.1, and all went well. But when I went to look at my gallery, it downloaded and is showing all of my Picasa pictures! It never did this before, and I can't seem to find a settings menu to make it not do this! I would go ahead and delete the folders it added from Picasa, but before I do this, I want to make sure that it's not going to delete them on my Picasaweb account too.
Did anyone else have this problem? Will deleting the Picasa pics that showed up on my phone make the ones on my online account go away?

Similar to syncing for contacts and email, thumbnails of synced photos are transferred wirelessly, so there's no need to plug your phone into your computer. You can add and select the Google accounts associated with the Picasa photos you want to sync with the Gallery in the "Accounts & sync" tab under Settings. Click on an account and mark the checkbox next to "Sync Picasa Web Albums" to automatically pull your online photos into the Gallery.
It still would have been nice if this were an opt-in thing, but at least I can turn it off...

View 3 Replies View RelatedPeople are having problems finding my app (Advanced Map Live Wallpaper) in the Android Market.It's free, not copy-protected, and the only requirement is SDK level 7 or above. However, it's invisible on some Nexus 2.1 devices, a lot of Droids (2.1), and a smattering of other phones.The fact it disappears seems to be completely random, and it's driving me nuts because I don't know if it's a misconfiguration by me somewhere or a Market problem.I know there's been an issue for copy protected apps, but I can't see how this applies to me.

I'm just browsing the market on my phone and every few games down there are utterly shite apps from a developer called "Aroma planning" which are pictures of women which you are supposed to touch.
I'd love a feature where you could block every app from that developer but I wouldn't know how or who to contact to ask if it could be implimented.
As far as I know, the Market isn't a part of the open source components in Android and is Google's property but does anyone know if there is a contact email address for the android market developers so I could ask if such a feature could be added?
If I see another miniskirt touch game by that arsehole I'll probably end up snapping my nexus one in rage.

Does anyone else have their download statistics stalled? Mines are showing the same number since the 17th. The apps are published and are visible from the market's client, so I hope it's (another) temporal problem from the Market.

It shows up and downloads just fine on Nexus One.I can only think that it has something to do with the AndroidManifest.xml file contents. I tried all combinations for <supports-screens> including not having it at all.
