When I kill any Google app, even the built in ones, android.process.acore doesn't crash causing a cascade effect of wonderfulness that is a black Launcher screen sometimes. So it can't be related to being integrated into Google Authentications or something. So, why the heck does myFaves do this? According to it's package info it's process should be com.tmobile.myfaves.

Although I haven't received confirmation from anyone at Google, I can confidently state that when the power to the display goes off, one can no longer obtain data from the accelerometers. I can easily think of a number of examples of where one would like to continue collecting accelerometer data even when the display is of. Supposing that I wanted to "fix" this, can anyone suggest where should I start looking? Would this be in the SDK, the kernel, or in some proprietary firmware that I can't touch?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a ListView backed by a custom adapter based on a CursorAdapter.The cursor I give it is based on a list of Notes in the database (each note is a DB row).Everything works just fine until I delete a note from the database. I'm not sure how to properly update the cursor/adapter/listview to display the new data.I've read conflicting posts on using adapter.notifyDataSetChanged() vs cursor.requery() to refresh the UI, but neither of them seems to work in this case.The only way I've been able to refresh it is by creating a new cursor from a new query and calling adapter.changeCursor(newCursor).Could someone demonstrate the proper way to update the backing data and then the UI (with psuedocode if possible).

View 12 Replies View RelatedWhen I run any application from Eclipse on my real G1 device (a retail one, this is not a dev phone), I am granted the READ_PHONE_STATE and WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE even if i don't declare them in the AndroidManisfest.xml. I actually can call TelephonyManager.getDeviceID () to retrieve the IMEI and I see these permissions in Settings -> Applications. I don't have this behavior in the emulator. Does anyone have the same "problem"?

On SFR in France, we are disconnected if idle for 3 minutes, but I guess T-Mobile's timeout is lower. By the way there is a bug in the Smack library, the "keep alive" setting is not enforced, e.g. if you set it to 30s, in the worst case the whitespace will not be sent until the double of this time (60s).

5. Select "Comma Seperated Values (Windows)" and click Next
6. Select Contacts and click Next

If you have excel or a spreadsheet program, go ahead and open the file. In the last name field make sure that each person either has a last name or has some letter in the field or they will not import correctly. They will just end up showing up with a phone number w/o a name. After doing this, resave the file........
