Alright whats up people I was recently searching through and through for a way to get mobile internet without paying that ridiculous android price so as I was searching I stumbled across a regular behold forum at Samsung Behold Forum - New Proxy (TMobileX (Free Internet!)) - UPDATE: Analysis 01.07.10 -> 1500 Users because someone said free internet for it and I gave it a run to see if it would work with our behold 2 and surely enough it does.
Instructions on how to use proxy:
Open up the (default) browser on your Samsung Behold.
Type in the following address into the : tmo-x.co.cc/tmobilex/
Type in the address you want to visit in the form on the page and select whether or not you want to use my HTML trick (free; allows you to see sites in full HTML not 'WAP-stripped').

They are going to be sending a replacement phone, so I would like some help on how I can get my current phone ready to be sent back to them.
Currently it is rooted stock 2.1 and has ryanza lag fix applied.
Most of my files are on the SD.
I know I need to unroot, how would I proceed to do that and would unrooting get rid of the lag fix?
Was reading a review at AnandTech and it says: On the left are the volume rocker button and a port for the secondary microphone for noise cancellation. You can follow that port inside to a small chamber where the microphone is. There aren't any markers on the volume rocker - then again up and down are pretty obvious. The volume rocker is also a multipurpose zoom control in the browser and camera application, which is probably part of why it's left unmarked. Here is the link if you wanna check it out. View 2 Replies View RelatedI was trying to root my samsng behold 2 earlier today using the command codes on theunlockr.com. I thought everything was going well as I went all the way to the last step where it rebooted my behold 2. Problem is, the phone kinda just turned off after doing the reboot command and didn't turn back on by itself (I gave it like 10 minutes). I eventually then just turned on the phone manually and noticed that everything was super laggy. Even when I used taskkiller to kill every task minus GDE, it said I only had 38MB ram available. I rebooted my phone a few times and it was laggy everytime so I decided to do a hard reset. The problem is that when I attempted the hard-reset, it will now get stuck on the samsung screen when trying to load up (stayed there for over 30 minutes). I can still enter the phone if I just start it up regularly without trying to hard-reset, but it will continue to be VERY laggy.
Is there anything I can do to restore this phone back to its original state? I was reading about using ODIN to flash it or something, but for some reason my computer doesn't detect my phone when I go into Download mode on startup (it does however detect the usb drivers on my phone once the phone officially startsup into its homepage).
I just got the Behold 2 last night and I wake up this morning to a phone thats stuck on the Android SCreen? WTF is that? Anyway, I have already tried reseting it and taking out the battery, Format SD card, Taken out both cards. Maybe this phone Really is a piece of shit. If it has, I am taking it back in the morning to Tmobile and getting my money back. Then I am Going to Sue Samsung for making such a piece of shit phone.

It originally happened after I rooted my phone (original 1.5 software) following these directions: How To: Root the Samsung Behold 2 | The Unlockr. After that, I deleted DinerDash2, Midnight Bowling, Where's Waldo, IM, Talk, Amazon MP3, MyFaves, Telenav, HotSpot, Audio Postcard, Postcard.apk. When I tried to reboot my phone, I was stuck on the Samsung screen. I finally got the screen to go away, but a message repeatedly popped up saying the TwLauncher closed unexpectedly. Then I tried using ODIN and installing BH_Man's factory v1.6

I used the adb commands to delete the bloatware again. Restarted the phone and got the same problem. (Except I was stuck on the android screen.) I tried to install the factory v1.6 again, then immediately did a factory restore and then rebooted my screen once it loaded. Everything seemed okay. I uninstalled the stock games and rebooted again. It seemed to be working. When I uninstalled more apps (including CubeLauncher) and restarted the phone. What do I do? Did I uninstall something I am not supposed to? I think I might try installing the 1.6 No Twiz Kernel. I am sick of these "TwLauncher closed unexpectedly" messages.
Is anyone using Nandroid to perform backups on there phone? When I boot into recovery mode, I don't have a selection for nandroid. I haven't installed the Galaxy install yet, do I need to do that first? I came accross this at the unlock page and was curious.

So i'm looking for an alternate headset with microphone to replace but for some weird reason all the ones I've tried work perfectly for media playback but not for phonecalls, voice just doesn't get routed to the headset unless it's the supplied one. Has anyone found a third-party headset that works?

I can root a g1 with ease but I sort of got into trouble with the behold. This might sound stupid but do I need to root the phone before I install the port galaxy 1.6? I just did this.
1. download odin here Odin Multi Downloader v4.03.exe
2. download any Of BH_MAN ODIN Ready Rom's
3. download winrar ( google it) to extract the BH_MAN zip file.
4. follow these instruction

Has anyone experienced any problems with your phones not receiving phone calls? I've had, on more than one occasion, where people are trying to call me and it doesn't go through. My phone never rings but the person told me that it rang 3 times and went to voicemail. Is that Galaxy build problem or is that a T-Mobile problem? If there isn't an easy fix, I'm gonna call Customer Care and see if I can get the phone swapped for something else...
View 8 Replies View RelatedI decided today to look into lock screen replacements. I'd tried FlyScreen before, and felt it was way overkill. I just wanted something interesting where a third of my screen didn't just say "Sprint." I downloaded Lock 2.0 demo, which was sort of cool. But then I got a text message, which caused Handcent to do it's little pop up over the locked screen. Normally all good, but with the different lock screen, when I rotated the phone and slid out the keyboard, the screen did not re-orient itself. Is this an issue with Handcent? With Lock 2.0? Does it happen with any lock screen replacement?

View 5 Replies View RelatedAfter many attempts to try and use the terminal emulator that is already preloaded onto the behold 2 , and many failures..After trying out different Terminal Em.'s and always having my phone lag because they wernt made for it...i have finally found a way to get terminal emulator working with no lag or no slow down in performance... First you must have root,of course, Next, Use an app called root explorer or something similar and goto the folder /system/app/ and find the two files Term.apk and Term.odex, and MOVE them to your sd card from your phone,you want them gone from your system/app folder After that simply goto the market and search for Terminal Emulator , re-download and there you have it, Working term. em. on the behold 2.Peace Ladz.

I was succesfully able to get adb to detect my phone serial. but whenever I type in: adb shell /data/local/try3 /system/bin/sh
in the CMD, it returns with "permission denied"
I have rooted my captivate first using unleash the beast and then used ryan;s one click lag fix. I would love to get the new update but it will not work. My question is can I get some simple step by step method of returning my phone to stock so I can upgrade it? I know there are a ton of posts on this but some seem fragmented and people use explanations that seem to assume that the people reading them are at the same lever of understanding that they are. All I want do is return my phone to stock for update and then root is again in the easiest way possible without bricking my phone.

I had 30 percent battery so i plugged it into my car charger. it shut off and now wont turn on at all. I have pulled the battery about 50 times with no luck. I plugged it back into the car charger the wall charger and my computer still nothing. I tried to turn it on into the download mode my computer didnt notice it. I have pulled the sims card the sd card nothing. Just a black screen. I now put 2 and 2 together. this happend before about a month ago but then i pulled the battey and it came back on. Now if i get it back on I know better than do it again. Is there anything I can do? I am thinking about stopping at tmo tomorrow to see if they have a battery to try? Has this happened to anyone else if so what did you do?

I installed the Superuser.apk or whatever, it rebooted and I disconnected the usb before typing the adbshell su and getting the # sound so now it says error device not found if I try that. Do I have to re-do everything or is it rooted? And my phone is acting normal by the way.
