Nov 11, 2010I was using CM6 and it had an option that i could unlock the phone by double pressing the menu button or by pressing the trackball. Now I am back to Darchdroid v2.8 because i like it way better than froyo, but the only way to unlock the phone is by sliding the screen icon. Is there a way to re-enable that menu/trackball way of unlocking the phone? I am using launcherpro 8.1 as home screen, not sure if that makes a difference.

Mar 23, 2009If I'm reading things right, the accelerometer measures physical forces (i.e. movement) and the orientation sensor gives the tilt of the handset. If you are coding a rolling ball type app which would you use? You could argue accelerometer, in which case you measure each delta force and apply it to your balls physics. Or just the orientation and compute the effects of gravity again on the ball but just using different physics. Is there a preference? Would any be more accurate than the other?

Nov 2, 2009I've had the Hero since 10-29-09 and the scroll-ball light is always on, it never shuts off ... It's driving me CRAZY. Also; the light pulses very lightly. Like it has a short or something. I've checked all my messages, settings and I can't find the problem. Has anyone had this problem? How did you fix it? I don't really want to go to my local Sprint store because I'm sure they have no idea.

Feb 11, 2010So everything is perfect about my Eris except that the scroll-ball doesn't scroll left anymore. This isn't the first time the problem came up. My last Eris had the same problem. It scrolls in every direction except which is kinda annoying as I use it alot more than I thought I would. Should I take it up with Verizon? its got all the other features i'd like to use: answer calls from my PC, make calls from pc (from , for example, the outlook contactlist), call Log capability; but i have to pick up my phone when i probably can just hear it through my headphone (connected to PC)
I think i should be looking for some sort of voip server on my phone and let my computer act as voip client, but i'm not entirely sure about that.
