one of my friends has an app installed, called Share Your Board (for taking pictures of whiteboards). I've found their website, and some basic information about it, but cannot find the app in the MarketPlace. When he goes to his downloads area (he just got an update about 2-3 weeks ago), it's not there.

Hi. im having a trouble getting Android's camera to work. i started CameraActivity Intent from MapActivity (when i start camera activity, i unresgister all listeners used in map activity), and when i call takepicture method, it just exits camera activity and return to map activity dumping strange msg showing below.
the camera sounds off the shutter-sound and it crashes camera activity. sometimes it succeeds, and sometimes doesn't.
it happens when im using docomo's HT-03A, 1.6sdk is installed.
Anyone having same trouble as i do?

I'm wondering how fast I can take pictures one after another withoud surprises from the phone (like fx: 'force close;) Does any of you know that time? I know that 500 milisec is safe time. When i experiment with 100, 200, 300 milisec there is error but who knows, maybe i do sth wrong.

View 2 Replies View Relatedjust a minor inconvenience: I used to have my phone set to sync with google, which alerted me every time I received an email. I then found out that google sync was causing an issue with my contact pictures, taking them from facebook and resizing them. it caused them to looked pixelated or "zoomed in" in hilli billy terms. So now I have it set to never sync with google. So now I never receive a notification when I receive an email. Anyone know a way I can set it to sync only to gmail and not sync the contacts? I don't really need to sync them anyway, as I have backup assistant for that purpose.

2. This is a big one for me and will delete it if I cannot get it to work. With the stock browser, it was easy sharing pics from the web with one click. With Dolphin, I cannot long hold a picture and hit "Share". There's just a View and Save option. So to send to someone, I have to save it, and then send it. Just extra steps I do not want to take and I do not want to pile up a bunch of un needed pics.
Not sure if everyone is aware, but you can actually take pictures just by touching the screen on where you want to focus and holding your finger there for about a second...I find it more useful than using the optical trackpad button.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I take a few pictures, my phone tells me that my SD card is not mounted or not present. The only way to get rid of this is to restart the phone and it's detected again - until I take a few more pictures.
I already ran home, after the first time it did this, and backed up my entire SD card to my PC via USB.
The phone is a HTC Thunderbolt running Liquid GingerBread v3.2 AOSP . . .
I really don't do a lot with this phone, but the camera I use often, so this is a real deal breaker for me.
Any idea why the quality of pictures is so much better when using GOOGLE? If pictures can be that good why does the camera suck when taking pictures?
View 4 Replies View RelatedJust got the Milestone a few days ago. Couldn't find similar problems when searching. Having issues with taking Widescreen images. Take a look at the very right side, there is a small strip that's out of place. Actually, this strip is part of the image that should be on the LEFT side of the image instead. Doesn't happen when taking 4:3 5MP picture. Compressed the images, but you can see it below when zoomed. Anyone know what the deal is? Just a small but slightly annoying issue.

Well i flashed a chinese rom and now pictures are getting stored in sdcard/照相机 and not the DCIM folder.
I have a nexus 4 with the latest version.
About a month ago i noticed that contrary to before, pics i download from the web cant be seen in any app.
I only see them in the dowloads folder, and when i open them i dont have a share option, only "details", "print" and "set as".
This may sound like a weird question, but why is my Droid camera taking blurry pictures. I just got the phone today.

When I tap to focus on the camera and am really close to something it goes from blurry to sharp and then blurry at the last second (when it snaps the picture) I took this video to demonstrate what I mean. Is there any way to take a picture like this? Or to manually focus with the stock camera app? Or an app that will help me take good quality macro pics of coins, pins, etc. I will pay for an app. I saw posts with the macro camera lens but I have no desire to glue a metal washer onto my camera lens.

I can't believe they removed the cool 3D gallery application, which will automatically show your Picassa pics, for the new crappy one. Here are some instructions and a link to add the old one to your Droid X so you can view and share Picasa pics!

I notice some phones have as much as 8 GB and some high end phones only coming with 2 GB (and after the OS and bloat is installed it gets reduced to 300-400 MB). Is this a concern with an android device. I understand that phones can be rooted and bloat ware removed, but taking that out of the equation, should I be concerned with buying a phone with just 2 GB of On Board memory for apps?

I want to connect external camera through usb hub for the board. There I enabled usb hub through g_zero.ko module and got the kernel messages as one usb hub has detected. But when I checked for devices as ls /dev/video*, I didn't see any new device relate external camera. May I know any procedure to recognize video camera device for zoom3 board.

The keyboard works well. But when I try to activate it from the setting (Local & Text) option, it displays some warning message that says "This input method may be able to collect all the text you type, including personal data like password and credit card numbers. ....".
I think this text is include for security purpose. But users may not be interested to use the keyboard. So my question is How can I remove this warning message to make the keyboard available for users (without payment). or is there anything that I have to consider while developing the application?
