I'm looking for some sort of common settings application that installs buttons in the notification tray you pull down from the top. My girlfriend has a samsung epic and at the top of her notification tray you can toggle wifi, 3g, etc. Anyone running something similar?

I tried searching for a thread on this, but if there's a duplicate thread, I apologize. I have an EVO, and I love it, but I saw on someone's Droid (I think) that they had a power control widget in their notification tray, rather than as a widget on one of the home screens.

I don't know where I am going wrong with the request. I am using AsyncTask to send the request to the server. The request also uses a token which I receive when I login to the webpage. I own a Xiaomi MI2S, running MIUI-3.8.16 @ Android version 4.1.1.JRO03L with Baseband version CEFWMAZM-2.0.128 017.
From my phone provider (Tele2) i have to dial a 1 (one) before my PIN-code when traveling abroad.
The code is accepted, I can be called and i can send and receive SMS messages.
However i cannot make phone-calls...
The error (?) is "DIAL request modified to SS request" and (very short) "not connected"
Is there a way to change notification settings in the native email app (possibly also gmail)?
I'm thinking about locale plugin which would allow to change notification settings in each app independently. For example disable sound notifications in email app and leave in gmail...
So i have android 4.2.2 and i installed xposed and gravity box. And my problem is that i have doubled fast settings in notification bar: stock and nearly the same added from this mod. Any solutions that i would have only one visible?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI like to set my phone to vibrate so incoming calls will vibrate, but then like to configure so that incoming emails and texts do not vibrate. My gmail does this correctly but any text app I use (currently hello sms) will vibrate even though I uncheck the box for that in settings. I'm using a Nexus 5 and 4.4.2 based rom. Is there a fix for this?

When I recieve an SMS on my desire I get the notification sound, but I see nothing on the screen until I wake up the screen by pressing the power button. If you do not hear the notification you have to check for messages, I have found sms on the phone that have between there for a few hours before i noticed.
Is there a setting to help with this?
This is my 3rd week with my Captivate and the first week that I'm on call for work. We use a paging system that sends me texts when I get paged.Last nite, unfortunately, as I slept with the phone next to the bed, I kept hearing notification sounds when email came in, and had to check my phone to make sure I wasn't getting paged.Is there anyway to set the notification bar to only notify me when a text comes in? Or is there a way to shut off the sounds for email and other notification messages over nite?

I found that I was only able to set it as the alert for one of my email accounts. If I try to set it up for the other one, it won't take. Like it's only allowed to be used for one or something. I used Titanium Backup to freeze, then uninstall some of the bloatware apps on my DX. The only way I can get them loaded is to turn off the phone and turn it back on again. Home++ is one of those. I have also tried some other roms that does the same thing.

When I press on the icon now it gives me the choice to replace it with a custom icon and that is what I would like to do. Seems that I had the phone on in my pocket and the camera Icon got oddly stuck partially visible off the bottom of the screen from an inadvertent pocket long press. Then the camera icon went away altogether.
Now when I try to add an icon in the spot where it was (lower right stock position) a black circle appears and swallows up whatever I put there. It's like a folder, but it is invisible until I try to place the camera icon or any other icon there. Acts like a black hole. I can add the camera Icon back to any home screen, just not to that far right spot on the favorites tray.
How do you change out what apps are on that bottom tray? I looked all over the manual and couldn't find it.
