View 1 RepliesI'm a developer looking to create an Android application to record phone calls. This spawned out of my own personal need to record phone calls for my own purposes and for my records. Is it possible to do this? Is it possible to get access to the microphone and what's coming through the speaker? I'm kind of new to Android development, so bear with me :) I assume that I could probably record into WAV and then at the end of the call, transcode it into MP3 using LAME or something. This may kill the battery, but this seems like a good project for me to get used to Android with. I'm looking to use Android 2.X.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am developing a recorder application. It works fine but when phone call comes it records only one way conversation but the caller voice is not recorded. I found audio sources as
recorder.setAudioSource(MediaRecorder.AudioSource.DEFAULT);
Or
recorder.setAudioSource(MediaRecorder.AudioSource.MIC);
How can I enable my application to record phone call ( Both conversation).
Does anyone know of an app that can record phone calls to certain numbers (where the phone numbers to record can be in the app). I need this for times I ring customer service and they tell me something, then deny saying it later on and ask me to provide proof (that they damn well know I don't have).
I did have a manual call recorder but I kept forgetting to record the calls, especially at times I really should have. Also preferably one that doesn't make a beep in the call, but not absolutely essential. If there is no app available as I explained, could someone please tell me an app that automatically records every call.
I have a question and i am looking for an answer for a very long time.
I am trying to record audio when i call someone and when someone calls me.I am using phonestatelisteners and i am able to record audio from outside (my voice) when i call someone. however when somebody calls me it doesn't record my voice at all .
I am trying to record my voice. Even if somebody calls me. But it works only in one direction :( If i call it records my voice if somebody calls it doesn't record my voice. Do you know if this is possible ?
I have been having problem with the carrier, they use to say I have called many numbers and have sent many SMSs I didn't really call or send.
So I was wondering if there is an app which will record all the calls' duration, SMSs sent and 3G/Edge usage.
So I could have a report later and compare it to my phone bill.
I am intending to buy a htc desire but am not yet clear wheater i can benefit from a feature commonly called VOICE OR SOUND RECORDER. I mean, if am on incoming or outgoing calls can i record the 2way conversation? as far as u know if there any valid apps on the Android market that, once downloaded, can allow me to do this?

I think there should be some message broadcast receiver invoked when a call is accepted and application should be started in background and record the conversation. Would like to know if this is actually possible and it it is then what classes to refer to?
One more thing if I want to send the recorded file to a server through GPRS then is there any limit in size for it to get transfer through GPRS? Small files will be transferred easily through GPRS but what about larger files? Is there any upper limit as to files of this much size can be transferred.
More importantly I want to know about the call recording function. Whether its available in Android phones as a native applicatoins or not? If its not available then can a application be written that can record all incoming and if possible outgoing calls as well.
I want to record the in coming and out going phone calls can i do that if yes can u provide me some sample code.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there any app to record phone conversation on the fly. I searched some threads but didnt find anything that was popular. I tried "All Call Record" but its a crappy app. I could hardly hear anything and even after uninstalling the app, th voice quality was bad. Had to reboot the phone.
I need something where I can select what part of the conversation to record. Say somebody is giving directions/phone numbers. Instead of fumbling for a pen to jot it down, I can just start recording and then turn it off when required so the file size is small.
i'm looking for a way to make phonecalls with my computer+Logitech G230, through my android device (Jiayu G4 Advanced)
The Remotecall app in Playstore still requires me to pick up my phone in order to actually hear something..
its got all the other features i'd like to use: answer calls from my PC, make calls from pc (from , for example, the outlook contactlist), call Log capability; but i have to pick up my phone when i probably can just hear it through my headphone (connected to PC)
I think i should be looking for some sort of voip server on my phone and let my computer act as voip client, but i'm not entirely sure about that.
I would like to make some phone calls that do NOT appear on my Verizon phone bill. I have a DINC and want to call a cell phone. Both ends are in the US. I don't mind paying a service such as Skype. Is there a way to make this happen?

When I make phone calls, the default screen is the large Droid with the Mute, Speaker and other buttons. I always end up having to press the Keypad button to get the phone keypad to display (checking voicemail or skipping voicemail greetings)Is there anyway to have the keypad be the default screen during phone calls? It seems like the keypad is used much more than Speaker or Mute.
