Android :: No Sync Option In Facebook / What To Do?

I just got the new Ascend from Cricket. I love android, but for some reason it's not letting me sync my contacts with Facebook. When I go into my contacts, and select accounts, I choose Facebook, but then it just sends me back to my accounts page and Facebook doesn't show up. When I go into the actual Facebook application, there is no option to sync, even when I go to configuration. What can I do to sync my contacts with Facebook?

I just rooted my Samsung Moment using Radioactive FroYo 1.8.7. Prior to this I was using the official 2.1 build from Sprint/Samsung. In my Facebook for Android app there was a setting that automatically synced my Facebook friends and my Contacts. After I rooted and installed the app again (same version) the option is no longer there.
Is it an issue with root or am I forgetting something? Currently I am using syncmypix but I would like to sync more than just profile pics. if I can get the option back somehow? Or if there is another app that syncs contact info and profile pics?

I recently upgraded from an Eris to the Incredible.. when the 2.1 came down OTA for the Eris I could then go into my people, click on their picture which then brought up a menu with photos that represented actions (call, text, email, etc.) One of these pictures was a Facebook icon. This brought me right to that persons Facebook profile using the Facebook for Android widget. Now that I have the Incredible, this Facebook icon is not there. What's up with that? I mean I can click on their name, then "go to Facebook profile" but this isn't the same I can only then access their info and/or wall, none of their photos, etc. This phone makes me actually have to go into the Facebook for Android widget itself then search friends and then get to someone's profile. I miss the icon option on my Eris, but they both run 2.1, shouldn't the Incredible have this option too?

What is supposed to happen is when the user clicks the widget, it turns off or on the Master Sync option. However the widget does not do anything when clicked, and appears to not be clickable. This is the body of the .java code, if it helps to post any of the other code please let me know.

I just jumped into an evo today. I went into the sprint store so i could make it live. When I go to settings> Accounts & Sync> Add account> i sign in with my google logn-in information, The only options that i have are Sync Contacts, Sync Gmail. I do not have a Sync Calendar. I removed my account and re added it. I don't have an outlook calendar or anything speical. The option will not show up

i switched from a BB (6 years on and off) to an android device (SGS2 LTE on Rogers)and i have some things i would like to ask to make easier ; >
1) Why doesn't Gmail give you a count of how many new message there are? how do i get this option?
2) is there a mark all read option in (gmail, yahoo mail, facebook,)
3) is there a delete message option in Facebook?
4) is there a sound profiles setting or a good app out there that can set different sound profiles for different situations (i.e. work, home, silent, vibrate etc) found an app just now called simple profiles.. seems to work okay..
5) SGS2 doesn't have LED, but it's not a question ; >
6) how do you get more then one gmail, yahoo icon for different acconts and label them instead of it saying "Gmail" or "Yahoo".
7) how do i see comments that were posted to pictures in facebook? when i get a notification that i have a comment i click on the alert and it just takes me to the picture.. i cannot see the comments anywhere..
a bit of a learning curve as u can see, and going from a physical QWERTY to a touch screen is difficult. Got some ROMs installed and definitely more apps, but pretty much similar to what i had on my BB...

I've had my Eris since the week it came out and it has the People > Groups > Sync Groups option, however a friend of mine just got an Eris and his phone does not have this option and is syncing ALL of his gmail contacts. His groups screen only has the option to add or delete groups.The only difference I can think is that I did not have Verizon transfer my contacts from my blackberry to my Eris, he did.

After updating my phone to version 1.1.A.0.13, i came up with 2 issues:
1) The facebook refresh button, along with the facebook option were gone from timescape app!. I mean that in options, only twitter would appear for account adding!. Yet my older facebook feeds still appear, but as i said no refresh button is available now, so that i could get new ones!
2) Almost none call metering app works anymore! I used to use Call meter NG, but after updating it says that some error happened and it turns up with questionmarks instead of numbers were the call & sms counters were. And no other relative apps seems to work also.

I'm having some troubles using the SE sync option. When I update my contacts with pictures and create new contacts, these are not updated in my X10.
Any changes I do with contacts are however perfectly transfered to my phone. Is this normal ?? Why are the pictures not transferred ?
Also in Gmail and SE sync there is an option to insert birthdays for my contacts, but I cannot see them in my X10. Is there any option for this, because that would be very important for me.

When I try to access my Calendar app, it tells me that I have not set up a calendar to sync. After going to the accounts page, and going to my google account, there are only options to sync my gmail and sync my contacts, but not my calendars.

Im looking for a desktop media library/music player that allows a random song sync with android. I also want to limit the amount of memory it fills. For instance i want to set it to sync random songs out of my library to fill a max of 3gb.
Ive tried winamp but for some reason it only wants to sync full albums rather than individual songs, despite making sure the option is unticked under autofill options.

I go to settings from the icon, and there is no option to change my Data Sync options! It has totally disappeared. I'm running AOSP 1.6, but it was just there earlier today. I only did a Nandroid restore recently, but I can't think of anything I did to make it re-appear if it was already missing. Help!

This is a picture of my Gmail account on my phone. It doesn't show me anything about contacts, mail, calendar etc.
I made an account on my wife's phone and everything shows up. I made an account for my wife on my phone and it shows no syncs available. So I know it's not an account problem, rather a software problem?
Below is a picture I downloaded online and it shows all the options:

I have a Droid X 2.2. I noticed that the option to sync with google calendar is missing on my phone. I have done quite a bit of research and tried what others have suggested. Here's what I've tried so far:
- Clearing the "Calendar Storage" and then creating another google dummy account as many suggested.
- Adding an event to the Calendar. I couldn't - it kept asking me to sync with a calendar account first. In the settings within the Calendar, when I checked Accounts, there was no accounts to add, neither could I add one.
The weirdest thing I found is that I don't have the same phone options as many online posts say I should have. At the Home > Settings > Accounts & Synchronization, I have only Accounts but no Synchronization. Is there an alternative like not using Google calendar but some other online calendar to sync?

If I should ask this here or on the root forum but I got DM 6 and everything is asop, plain and stock Android 2. 2 but what bothera me is the my facebook contacts don't want to sync with my Google contacts in my phone, I'm using the regular Facebook app and I don't see an option to link manually like the HTC sync one.

When I add new friends on facebook or put new contacts in my phone, I can't link them because we weren't friends when I installed the app. I've tried re-syncing facebook for HTC sense, and tried uninstalling it (it won't let me uninstall for some reason)

I see it does it automatically for some people. I think if their name matches exactly or possible their email in Google Contacts is the same as Facebook. But how do I sync them if I changed their display name or have no email for them?

I have an HTC Evo and am getting used to the Android system - this is my first smartphone too so please excuse my ignorance. I am a medical student and have a pretty crazy schedule and I have relied on google calendar for several years now to keep my schedule. I was excited to use it on my phone, but my problem is that it is syncing with facebook and uploading all these birthdays. Now, I don't want to sound like a jerk who doesn't care about my friends birthdays but I already check those through facebook - they are cluttering up my calendar and I want them off! I can't for the life of me figure out how to make it stop syncing with facebook and it could just be that I don't know where to go. I have looked under "Settings" within the calendar and haven't found it.

Is there anyway to re-establish or manually add the Facebook syncronization option to an existing contact in my Contacts app? I lost the Facebook sync icon in the contact information and this is inconvienent at best, and possibly is the cause of disabling the phone functionality at worse. Subsequent behavior on at least two occassions has shown that attempts to dial out using this particular contact locks up the dialer, causing multiple forces closes, and essentially disables the phone functionally both in and out of the phone for long periods time (10-20 mins) until the application can be correctly cleared and purged from memory.
I was able to successfully sync my Contacts with both my Google contact list and then all my Facebook friends. However some of the contact information was not exactly how I preferred and attempts to update that information using the Google contact list was not always successful. Not entirely sure if this is a bug or by design. I was able to successfully modify one contacts name with Facebook sync from first name first to last name first (to correct sorting to my preference). A second contact wouldn't modify no matter if I updated the name information on Google contact or on the phone itself. Finally I attempted to delete the contact and re-add it. This worked but now I lost its Facebook sync (no Facebook icon to click within the contact information). I'm not sure if this detachment is causing the dialer problems.
After syncing all my Facebook friends with my contacts (for complete-ism), I successfully deleted some Facebook friends from my contact list. But what if I want one back with Facebook sync, is that possible?
