when I debug my software on my nexus one, suddenly can't not install correctly, then I check the logs as following:..............
I got the message on my phone that there is an update. I tried installing it but it wouldn't let me. I tried the manual way and everytime it goes to install it tells me installation aborted. Any ideas?
I should also mention that when I click recovery after hitting power+volume down it goes to an android guy with an exclamation point.
I recently bought a rooted N1 off of ebay. I plugged my SIM in and everything worked fine all day yesterday. I went to sleep on my bed, with the N1 in my pocket, and when I woke up the phone was indicating that there was no SIM card in the phone. I rebooted the phone, and factory reset it, yet it still indicated that there was no SIM inside the phone. I put my SIM card in my wife's iPhone and the phone worked fine.
1) Could sleeping with it in my pocket have done this?
2) Did I just buy a dud off of Ebay? And if so, how is this possible because it worked all day yesterday?
So I got my N1 today and installed apps w/ no problem. After I manually updated to 2.2, whenever I try and download an app it says "Sorry, there's not enough space to install this item." If I go to settings, SD Card & phone storage settings, it says I have 158MB available space under Internal phone storage. So I have plenty of room to install things, what's the deal?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to install the latest maps update and it seems stuck on "starting download". It's gone on way beyond the time needed for the previous download/upgrade.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI don't know what I'm doing wrong but when I look up driving directions on my phone and the route is displayed on the map it no longer has the button to go to direction list. It shows the route on the map but doesn't let me look at the written directions. The only button down there is get directions and if I press it it takes me back to my location search screen with my destination erased. I can't image why they would take this out.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Desire started to refuse to install new applications or update old ones. They would download fine but then I'd get a message saying "Installation unsuccessful" but not give me any further information as to why that is. When using .apk files, I get "Application not installed" but no further information as well.
I have enough space on both the phone and the SD card and I am running a rooted 2.2 original ROM.
So I'm stuck and I need your help. Why does this happen and how can I find out?
Samsung Galaxy Nexus. I could send special characters (i.e: , , , , , ect) in text messages. Then, it wouldn't anymore. I believe my phone updated to Jelly Bean before it stopped, so it may be connected to that. When I try to send a message with any type of special character in it, the message simply won't send. No matter if I use the messenger than came on the phone, or the one I installed (Handcent). I still get the message just not sending. It'll send once I take the characters out of the message, though. I can normally receive messages containing special characters, but they sometimes it shows up as squares.
Mostly, I want to know if I can fix it. I understand that it may be the update, which I'll have to wait out. Or that it could be the phone itself, which in that case I'd just have to wait till I can upgrade again. It's just very annoying not being able to send accents or special characters. Especially to my Spanish only speaking friends.
I have the Droid and my fb widget stopped updating. It used to work fine but has been sketchy for a few days. Is this happening to anyone else?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI picked up my phone about two weeks ago and there was an update right away. I had no problen downloading it through the phone and it turned out to be 2.1.1. So a week later I wanted to check again, when I do it says connection failed or something similar. Now each time it does this I have to wait 24hrs befor I can retry. Tonight was the 4th try. I've attempted this from different locations both with good 3G signal.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI"m running Win XP 32 bit, SP3. I have Nexus one device. and I develop on Eclipse. I'm trying to install my app to test it on a real device - my own Nexus one. after downloading and installing the USB driver - the devices charges just fine. after I mount the USB storage (from the device) I can even see the phone's file system from the computer (thus able to move files in and out of the SD card). however - "adb devices" command returns an empty list. also, Eclipse "Device Chooser" doesn't show the device (it shows emulators I previously configured).
View 11 Replies View RelatedI have implemented a simple Android application that I now would like to test on a real device. I have a Nexus One. In the Android Eclipse plugin, I have downloaded and installed the USB driver (revision 3) package. But when I connect my Nexus One to my PC (running Windows 7) using the USB cable, a message box pops up and shows that "No driver found" for "Nexus One". I have activated USB Debugging on my device. And when I run adb devices on my PC, it just prints List of devices attached and no devices are listed. And if I use Device Manages in Windows, and tries to update the driver for "Nexus One", I can not select a driver in the "driver directory" of Android SDK. How can I install a driver for Nexus One on Windows 7 so I can use it for USB debugging my Android applications on a real device?
View 3 Replies View RelatedHow to manually install Android 2.2 on your Nexus One. Apparently at some point last night a very select few Nexus One owners started getting the Android 2.2 update OTA. So if patience is one of your major virtues you should feel free to hold out for that update notification to hit; if on the other hand you would rather just go ahead and get your Froyo on now just follow the directions below.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI Have a Nexus 7 and recently I found that I needed to use ADB for something and I had used my Nexus 7 with ADB on this computer before (thats how I installed KitKat) but whenever I connect my Nexus now it says that is not configured correctly and when I attempted to install the ADB driver it said windows encountered an error. I am currently running windows with Driver verification disabled and on test mode. I am also running windows in test mode so that it wouldn't block the driver. I have tried every driver possible from the one in the SDK to the intel android adb driver and even PDAnet. I have checked inside the driver file that it is properly registered for my nexus 7. I am running Windows 8.1 on my computer and android 4.4.2 kitkat on my Nexus 7.

My friend bricked his DX with the Deodexing or whatever. After an sbf flash..
Can we update to 2.2 via update.zip in recovery, install rom manager, and then install MY backup on his phone? I'm currently uploading them to file hosting, and wondering if this would work.
If so, will he be fully rooted, deodexed, and themed(I'm rocking the xtreme 2.2 theme)?
I've been trying to update my phone now for nearly two weeks, trying various options, yet nothing I do helps in any way.I started off just running the update from SEUS with my phone as i've been using it.the updater started, gets about 70% through "Preparing" and pops up an error "Unable to install or start software update components." Closing which pops up "try again" or come to this site.I then tried uninstalling all installed components, same result as above.I then tried a Master Reset to factory setting, same result as above.I then disable the Firewall and the Anti-Virus, same result as above.Basically, i'm at the end of my tether, this should not be this difficult, I should not have to jump through this amount of hoops. If there was a way to legitimately root the phone (keeping warranty), I could already have Froyo installed, instead of this irritating mess thats causing me nothing but headaches.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been looking around at a lot of different sites today, trying to gather information about installing the official Froyo build that was released today - but am having difficulty parsing through it all because of my specific phone setup. I have an unlocked Nexus One with the RA Recovery Image and Cyanogenmod 5.0.8-N1 installed. It seems that all the instructions that I have seen (and the files making the rounds out there) seem to be intended for stock phones. Can anyone point me to a set of instructions with the unlocked phone with a custom recovery image in mind, or am I completely missing something obvious?

So I just bought a HTC Nexus Ones as my new Android phone. I've been preparing for this new phone, such as knowing that it's old, I'm going to flash a custom JellyBean ROM to it, ect. Anyways, I've been reading that you cannot install applications to the SD card of a Nexus One, only to the very small 512mb internal memory. I'm wondering what I need to do to be able to install all the apps and games I download and install to the SD card, so I do not run out of space.
