My 3 yr old son loves to play with my droid as I have downloaded games for him but he does manage to sometimes download stuff accidentally, Luckily nothing fee based.
Is there a way to lock the phone from downloads while he is playing?

I know other Hero users are having the same problem, and so far Slacker support has not fixed. One the screen sleeps it will finish the current song but not play a next song until you unlock the screen. I even have an app that keeps the screen from locking but allows it to go black and that causes the same issue. Anyone have a suggestion? This makes it where I can only use Slacker with the screen on which make the app almost worthless.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a brand new desire and was streaming a file from a webpage in bed last night, but the screen doesn't go completely dark, nor does it 'lock' - you can accidentally touch the screen and interfere with the playback. If I try to lock the phone it kills playback. I would really like to be able to lock the screen whilst media is still playing through the headphones.

Live wallpaper from the store, and its been showing two download arrows on my screen in the upper left side for 2 hours now. They won't go away, the download is not working. I tried restarting the phone and they're still there. Where do I go to stop the download?

What I mean is that I need a phone lock for security reasons - however it is a pain to use it every time I turn the screen on. Is there a way to have it work only when you turn the phone on? Right now if yu don't have a phone/screen lock security set if someone steals your phone they take out the sim card and use the phone normally ... if you do have it, then you must use the password every time you want to use the phone (I hate it). I know the best thing is to have a secured access but I was just wandering if it was possible to do seomething different?

But with the newest update it has begun playing a long annoying song when I get an sms, even though I've set it to a normal single sound. I've tried reinstalling it, but it doesn't help. I bought Need For Speed Shift from Play Store,installed and downloaded the data(approx. 100 MB).But when I opened the game, everything's white and grey,only the music and some of the texts are fine but everything else is like invisible.No cars,roads or terrains.
I contacted with EA and they suggested me to change the game's resolution in the option, but as I can't see anything, I can't do it.I replied them with it but it's been 3 days and no answer from them.
As I'm using Android 4.2.1(JB) I can't use ChainFire 3D.
Change the resolution settings in your game and give me the settings file or is there any way to change the resolution option manually by editing the data files?
I'm having a strange problem with my Xperia Arc (4.0.4) that is proving very difficult to track down. When playing music or videos, after a random amount of time (maybe 20 or 30 seconds) the phone will crash and restart. This happens regardless of the app I use - Play Music, Poweramp, MX Player and YouTube. I have restored my phone using CWM to a much earlier backup, but eventually (within a few hours) the problem returns.
My only other recourse would seem to be a full wipe and return to stock firmware, which would be a major PITA and obviously wouldn't support if this is a hardware issue or some conflict with an update
Whenever I receive a text message while on an active call, it plays the message tone at full volume - making it rather hard to hear the other person! Granted, this only happens occasionally ... but when it does it can be quite annoying. I've searched other threads and had a (what I consider to be ) a thorough look through the phones' settings, but I can't seem to find a way to stop it. Is this just an omission on the developers behalf? Or is there something I could change?

The problem I am having is that when I play Robo Defense my CPU Temp goes over 50 degrees Celsius and goes to my failsafe speed of 600 MHZ. Is this normal or is my failsafe temp just too conservative? Should I just clock it down a little for gaming? That would seem kinda counter-productive, to clock down for the most demanding thing I do but I guess it might be worth it VS overheating.
Also, which should I worry about more, the CPU or battery temp? I've seen posts saying that the battery actually has a much lower safe temp range, but I'm a little worried about the keyboard soaking heat from the CPU and coming unglued. I saw a picture of that and I'm not sure if overclocking was the cause but it seems possible, my keyboard is HOT when the CPU hits 50c
