Anyone who uses k9 Mail or have knowledge, I have a question. Is there a way to combine your email boxes to a global type inbox? Coming from a BB it was cool to be able to check 1 box to read all my 4 email account emails. Is this a feature available and I am missing it or is there an app for this?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've heard this happening with Gmail to other people, but I didn't believe it, now it's happening to me. I had a very very very vitally important email sent to me yesterday, and after viewing it, it just vanished. Gone for good. I can't find it. I've checked every folder, I've checked All Mail, I've checked trash, I've checked spam, drafts, everywhere. This is the 3rd or 4th time I've had an email vanish in the past 3 months. Completely gone, as if it never existed, without me deleting it.Has anyone else experienced this with Gmail? I know a few people who don't use Gmail for this very reason, but I thought they were crazy, now it's happening to me. HELP! I need that email back
View 1 Replies View RelatedHave a moto droid on verizon and question about email. I'd like to be able to delete from inbox and have it deleted, not go to trash. Or at the very minimum, be able to empty the trash folder in one step without having to individually select each email to be deleted. Is either of these possible and I'm just missing something?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having an issue with deleting emails from the generic email client on Android 1.5. I use the gmail app for dedicated gmail stuff, works like a dream. However, my uni email address (IMAP) using the normal 'email' app is a different story. It will receive emails no problem, but if I delete them they disappear for 2 seconds, then reappear in the inbox again (in the same place) with a line through them, they don't even move into the trash folder. However, what does happen is that they disappear off my webmail server. Is there a way of actually removing something from the inbox once it's been received, or is it there forever? It's a LG Gw620 (eve/intouch max) running android 1.5.

View 4 Replies View RelatedHe's set up his gmail and work mail on the phone just fine, but his hotmail is playing silly buggers. The gmail is through that app, the work and hotmail through the desire mail app.
Anyway - he cannot get any hotmail emails into the inbox. When you first set up the account, he gets two 'welcome' mails - the kind you get when you set up the mail account online, welcoming you to your inbox. No other emails ever come through.
However - he can send from it. And it appears in his outbox online.
I looked in the syncing sections and under the exchange active sync - which works for his work - there is no hotmail. Except somehow it must sync somehow as it's sending his hotmail fine...
My Roadrunner account is setup on my EVO and receives email, sends email, no problems there. Issue is that emails that I've already downloaded to my pc Outlook are still showing up in my inbox on my EVO. I've looked through all of the settings and cannot find one similar to what I had for my Windows Mobile mail, which deleted mail that it didn't see was on the mail server anymore. Is this a possible bug or maybe an intentional design, or am I missing a setting?

The catch is that they would have to stay there, not have to be reloaded (as if you were accessing the mailbox from the website on your computer) and wouldn't get pushed down the line and out of sight from your designated number of emails displayed at once in the list?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been using the email app that came on the droid x for 2 weeks with no problem until now. i only have my yahoo email acct on it. this am, my inbox is empty. nothing has changed on my actual yahoo acct, so the emails have not been deleted. how can i get the inbox to repopulate/sync with the emails that are in my yahoo inbox? the other folders of my email are fine.

When i go to delete emails in my gmail inbox on my phone they delete off the phone, but not in my actual gmail inbox online. Because when i delete the emails off my phone the inbox counter still reads all those emails that are still there. Well when i go online to delete them it goes back to normal. How can i fix this to where i dont have to keep goin online to delete emails?

I have some messages skip my gmail inbox (like facebook notifications or weekly coupons), so I have set labels to fix that! Keeps a clean inbox. BUT I want to still be notified of Facebook emails on my phone without having to specifically look for them. Say someone tags me in an unflattering picture, and I'm away from my laptop? I'd like to know right away! I have different needs for my phone and my laptop Does anyone else have these problems? Or...solutions?
View 2 Replies View RelatedIt randomly selects email, last time it was 1, this time 3. First poll, they disappear out of the inbox, next poll they show up as unread even though they're 2 weeks old. Leaving them as unread doesn't help, they still disappear, and come back as unread, but for some reason not on every poll. Tried to make friends with google, but all I find is other forum complaints that are similar but not exact, with no solutions. And Issue 719: Inbox shows old email. Anybody else going through this? It seems as though they're doing nothing to fix it.

I can send and receive email through Exchange and I can see emails in my Inbox, the problem is I never keep any emails in my inbox, they always go into separate folders and those ones I can't see. I can see and switch to the different folders but there appears to be nothing in them.
I'm using Samsung Email simply because it came on the phone and seems to be able to do gmail, hotmail and exchange all in one.
Android 2.1, unrooted. Anyone come across this issue or have any ideas?

Everything's working great except I can't get GAL Lookup (Global Address List) to work. Mail's downloading just fine, Calendar sync's great and Contact sync's good.. but that critical moment when you want to shoot off an urgent note to an office colleague & can't remember his email handle... bummer! Stuck!
Strangely, in NexusOne when I had to rely on Touchdown by Nitrodesk, the Address Lookup worked just fine...
HTC bug perhaps? Of all the issues, I think this is Desire's biggest.
I have gmail and my regular pop email set up on my Incredible. Well, almost set up. They seem to "grab" new mail automatically, instead of just when I want them to. I cannot seem to find settings for either app that allows me to control when and if new email is downloaded to the phone.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had my phone for a month now (Vodafone in UK) and have pretty well mastered most things except my email.I set up the gmail account as required and access that via an app no problem. The main email account I set up to access my Messenger Live email account. This was a doddle as I just entered my address and password and it set up immediately. I should have known it wouldn't be that simple! It downloads and sends my mail just fine but after a few days all mail disappears so that I have no record of it's ever having been there. It's still all there on my Live account when I log in via my computer.
What am I doing wrong? I've checked every setting I can but no joy and no reference to this problem on any fora.Another clue may be that despite deleting emails I've received on my Wildfire they are still on my Live account as though nothing has happend. Sounds as though it's not syncing properly but what settings can I check?
Since updating to 2.2, I lose anything left in my Inbox after about 2 days. I used to have this problem and remember making a change in settings to sort it out but I can't find anyway of doing this in 2.2. (This is NOT googlemail)
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm running into some issues with the HTC Mail client and I'm about ready to throw fits.I've configured my work IMAP email account, but it's not pulling any emails down to the inbox.I get the 'No mail' message when there is most definitely mail there.I can send from the account just fine, and the sent items feed back to the server w/out any problems.I've tried deleting the account and reconfiguring same result.Any way to start from a clean slate in the HTC Mail client w/out wiping the entire unit? I have configured another user's phone (same exact phone) on the same email system and theirs worked as expected adding to the frustration!

View 3 Replies View RelatedThis is driving me nuts because I had the hero and swapped it out to the Moment and it did the same thing. I am using the Gmail app and whenever I get new mail I have to go into the ALL MAIL label to see it even though the mail has a Inbox tag on it. By doing this I don't get any notifications of new mail and must check it manually. I've tried clearing out Gmail app and Gmail storage but it will only sync once and stop again. So anyone having the same problem? Gmail not pushing mail into the in-box? I posted on Google help forums but so far people only told me to clear data of the applications.

My problem is that i am receiving notifications that i have new mail but there is nothing showing in the inbox. I have check my inbox online and yes there is new mail, but it is not showing up on my device. I have also tried deleting the account and re adding it but the same thing happens all over again after a few mins.
Hope someone can help me. I have changed my google mail address from googlemail.com to gmail on my computer, But how you get your desire to change the header when you open your inbox on the desire?
It still comes up with it still ending in googlemail.com at the top of the inbox. I am a novice when it comes to android. but loving it.
New mail is ending up in the all mail folder not sure how to fix this so mail is pushed to my inbox and I get new mail notifications.

Whenever I press the manual update button on the upper left hand corner, it doesn't seem to work whatsoever. (I send myself test e-mails and they don't show up when I press that button when they should).Any ideas how to fix this? Is this button not working for anyone else using IMAP? Did installing and uninstalling K9 mail maybe mess up the stock android e-mail app?
