Can any one tell me which is the image format used in android phones?
I want to convert a image into Base64 format and send it to server. I have one Base64 class which accept byte array and return a string.I am sending image into chunks of data.I am creating creating one chunk of 100kb. If image is less than 100 kb then image is uploaded on server, but if it is greater than 100kb (i.e when it requires more than one chunk) then it will not uploaded. I think it is because I am converting image into Base64 in parts and on server it decode it only in one shot. Now I want to send a image for conversion of Base64 only in one chunk. But if image is too large then it throw OutOfMemoryException (Obviously after all it is mobile having very limeted resources).
My code is as follows:

I saw that google includes org.json classes in the API but haven't tested them yet.
How are your experiences? What library/API should I use and why?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'd like to know whether it's possible to have phone numbers converted
into international format when a call is outgoing.
For instance, if a french user (sorry it's the only format i know i
won't make a mistake :-) try to call with the national format :
01.47.12.34.56 then a method will convert it into international format
like this : +33.1.47.12.34.56
I've looked into the doc of the PhoneNumberUtils but i don't know if
there is a method doing what i want.
I'm trying to take the user input, which may or may not have a comma in it, and put a comma in the correct places upon the user deselecting the field (or at all, if that's not possible).
I would also like to know how I can subtract the commas to make the number just an integer.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have not taken a lot of video with my Droid (I have Flip for that), and what I do take, I just watch on the phone. But, I may eventually want to play this on my computer or on my TV using a streaming media device. My current device plays a LOT of formats, but I have not tried any of my Droid videos. What format does the Droid capture video in? Is it the 3gp I have heard about? If so, I think that is one format I can't play where I want it. I heard that my wife's Incredible actually records in mp4, but then converts to 3gp, but there is something you can install which prevents that conversion and keeps it in mp4. Is there something like that for the Droid?
The Droid can only play MPEG-4s right? If not what's the best format to rip movies to? I tried MPEG4 720X480 and the phone never even saw it on the SD card. Unless I'm doing it wrong (like music, I just created a folder called videos) A certain Tarantino film just leaked and I really wanna watch it during my commute.
