Android :: How To Transfer SQLite Db To Web Server On Droid Phone?

I have an application that creates an SQLite database and saves information to it over the course of a day. At the end of the day i want to export this database to a web server. Could anyone point me in the right direction for this? Should I use httppost or put. I have researched this myself online but there seems to be so many different ways to explore. The server side does not exist yet either. I have access to an apache server so i am hoping to use that. Could anyone advise me the best/most simple way to do this?

Folks, apologies ... I have a very urgent request. Tomorrow I want to present an Android application on the phone (not on the emulator) to a group of students. I have a Samsung Galaxy running on Android 1.5. I got it all hooked up and I can see the device using "adb devices". I can also see it in DDMS. So the connection is fine. I even can install the application on the device - but I cannot run it. The main problem seems to be that my application cannot access the corresponding local SQLite database. Everything works perfectly on the emulator. I figured out that I also cannot access the data/data folder on the devices. It says "permission denied". Then I found out that I have to "root" the device. But absolutely no clue how I can do that. Also installing the apk through "adb install ...." did not work. What can I do in order to get my SQLite db on the device? Do I have to root it?

Before I found out about that adb shell doesn't have the permission to do much with /data/data I was using my unrooted Verizon Droid for development of a content provider. How do I get rid of the database I created there? Is my best option writing a small app that drops the database?

I'm currently developing a Field-Service application that stores data in the local sqlite database on an android device. At some point, usually after completing the data collection rounds, the local sqlite db is to be synchronized to a remote sybase db on the server.Any suggestions as to how this could be achieved or engineered as a solution? Or even better, are there alternatives to synchronizing data in such an application?

I have developed my first small Android application using Eclipse and managed to transfer it to my Samsung Galaxy S mobile phone.
My collegue at work has got another Android mobile phone running the same version (Android 2.1).
How can I give him my new application without him needing to install an development environment? Is this possible ?
It's an internal program so I don't want to publish it to the Android market (at least, not just yet).

Is it possible to take the sd card out of my Eris and put it in my new Incredible without reformating. I used my sd card for backing up my apps and one of them is Malibo ringtones which is no longer on the market. I would like to know if it is possible to transfer them to a new phone this way.

I need to go to the Verizon store to have them transfer contacts from my old work phone to my Droid. Is it going to write over the numbers I already have in my phone? My second question is my Droid is rooted with BB 0.4, is that going to be an issue when I go into the Verizon store? I'm not sure they would notice its rooted since they shouldn't go into any settings but maybe someone else knows more.

I stepped on my first Eris (don't ask) and had to get a replacement through Asurion. Well, I thought when I got my new phone I would be able to redownload all the apps I had purchased but I cant. The Market wants me to pay for them all again. I guess the market tracks you specifially with your phone, not your account. So I called Verizon, of course they were no help. The chick didn't even try to help, I asked her if I could get those apps back and she stalled for a second like she really didnt know but also didnt want to take the time to find out, then she said NOPE. I was like man, that sucks, she said YEP! That was the end of the conversation. Surely there is a way for me to get these apps back without paying for them again? I know they are inexpensive but when you have 10 or so they start to add up! Not to mention I had my first phone for less than a month and hardly got to enjoy the apps I purchased. I've thought about emailing the dev's but dont know if thats a good approach or not.

I just replaced my Eris because of a hardware problem. Is there a way to transfer my settings, apps and screen set-ups to the replacement Eris? I would love to find a way to back up everything and just put all of those things in my new phone without having to do everything over. If I have to it manually what do I do about the apps that I bought?

I am walking to my car, talking on the phone. When I turn the car on, I want to transfer from the phone to the bluetooth in the car/nav. unit.If I'm in my car, I can call/receive phone calls fine, but I can't figure out how to transfer a call to my car bluetooth, when I get in and I'm ready to drive off. Instead, I have to tell the person, I'll call them right back, as I have to make the call from the bluetooth setup.

I recently purchased a Motorola Droid and I have to say that, while I am not easily impressed by anything, I am quite impressed with it. It is my first Android-based phone, so I am still learning the ropes. My question is this: When I take a video with my Droid, how do I transfer it to my computer? I tried emailing the video, but no attachments went thru. Is there a way to export it via USB, etc.? I know they can be sent straight to youtube if there is wifi available, but I want to send it to the computer for viewing, forwarding, burning to dvd, etc. Any advice anyone has would be greatly appreciated.

Hopefully someone can help out. I shot a few movies with my eris and want to put them on my pc. When i connect the phone to my pc and open up the SD card folder i can't find the videos anywhere. I'm assuming there on the phones device memory but is there an easy way to transfer the video over to the sd card? I was messing around with the phone and couldn't figure out how to do that.

Wife has a Dare, bought her an Eris, and dont know how to transfer contacts.
She doesn't use gmail/outlook or anything.
Tried to download the backup assistant but still couldn't find the contacts online.
Whats the best way to transfer contacts from the dare to eris without having to go to the store?

A couple of questions. How do you cut/copy and paste in Droid? Can it be done?
And, after making a video on Droid, how do you move it to your computer? I am assuming the video resides on the SD card (since this is where your photos go). Is the best way to transfer to just put the card in your computer, or is there a better way? Just asking for a buddy who made a video and tried to transfer via USB, and it only transferred a part of the video.

Just today I have started having a strange issue with Gmail on my Droid. If I delete a message from my phone, it appears to delete OK, and disappears from the phone. If I go to the computer and log in, however, the message will still be there, no matter how long I wait. This is causing my Gmail counter widget I have installed on the phone to show an incorrect number, as it is counting the messages on the server, not the phone. No matter how many times I try to resync Gmail, once I delete a message from my phone, it will not show back up on the phone, but will remain on the server until I log into a computer & delete them from there.

Does anyone know how to delete mail from the droid without actually removing it from my exchange account? On my old blackberry I could do this and would not actually delete from my inbox but it would delet from my phone. Is this possible? I have poked and prodded everything i can think of but cant see how to do this.
