Is it possible to take the sd card out of my Eris and put it in my new Incredible without reformating. I used my sd card for backing up my apps and one of them is Malibo ringtones which is no longer on the market. I would like to know if it is possible to transfer them to a new phone this way.

View 36 Replies View RelatedI just got my Eris today. I am trying to switch my pics and infor from my old Sd card (it was only 256MB) to the new one that came with the phone.
Also I cant seem to save any pics, or at least I cant find them. When I put the old SD in, I can see those ones, just not new ones.
I switched from a G1 to this. So far they seem pretty simliar, this is the only issue I am having. I love how much lighter this phone is. My G1 was way to bulky for me.
I got a bigger sd card and I'm wanting to swap all my pics and movies from my old one to the new one. is there a way to do this on my phone or do i have to do it on the computer? when i stick the sd card and adapter in my pc it doesn't recognize theres anything in there.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI stepped on my first Eris (don't ask) and had to get a replacement through Asurion. Well, I thought when I got my new phone I would be able to redownload all the apps I had purchased but I cant. The Market wants me to pay for them all again. I guess the market tracks you specifially with your phone, not your account. So I called Verizon, of course they were no help. The chick didn't even try to help, I asked her if I could get those apps back and she stalled for a second like she really didnt know but also didnt want to take the time to find out, then she said NOPE. I was like man, that sucks, she said YEP! That was the end of the conversation. Surely there is a way for me to get these apps back without paying for them again? I know they are inexpensive but when you have 10 or so they start to add up! Not to mention I had my first phone for less than a month and hardly got to enjoy the apps I purchased. I've thought about emailing the dev's but dont know if thats a good approach or not.

I would love to find a way to back up everything and just put all of those things in my new phone without having to do everything over. When i connect the phone to my pc and open up the SD card folder i can't find the videos anywhere. I'm assuming there on the phones device memory but is there an easy way to transfer the video over to the sd card? I was messing around with the phone and couldn't figure out how to do that.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I was told by a Sprint rep that if the phone memory gets below about 80 MB then the phone will start to lag. Well I can't seem to delete enough stuff to get back above 80 MB available memory, I deleted pics, texts messages and various apps that I would have liked to keep. I started playing with my wife's phone which has more apps then mine, I checked her available phone memory and she has 102 MB!!! I can't figure out what I could have on my phone memory that would be taking up over 20 MB of space. Where can I look to try and figure this out? My wife's phone is very zippy and quick, while my phone waits forever when switching apps.

I want to use my Eris as a wireless adapter to link my Home wi-fi network to my PC. Not use the cellular network. I know PDANet will allow me to use it as a modem but am unsure if it will let me use Wi-Fi the same way.
How do I do this? I have added a few items like apps and mp3 files. I can't seem to access the apps I put there. Any ideas?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got my eris yesterday since I don't have a NE2 available and I wanted to get away from WinMo, in any case, I can't access my SD card from my Eris. I downloaded Astro Manager, went to sd card, it says it is empty. I connected my phone to my PC via USB, mounted it as a drive, and I can access the SD card and contents without a problem. I can even use the photo album on the phone to look at pictures that are on the card.
When I go to settings > sd card and phone storage it displays total space and available space as being unavailable and the option to unmount the sd card is grayed out. Pressing the menu button on this screen doesn't do anything. Running 2.1, not rooted. I not interested in rooting the phone since I don't need the WiFi tethering and the stock apps aren't bothering me. The phone was connected to the PC and mounted. I couldn't see the card from the phone when it was mounted to the PC. Why?
I plugged my phone into the usb port on my computer so I could play some music files directly from it (I had just downloaded some music last night and transfered it to my phone). I try to open up the phone from WMP and the phone freezes. I take the back off...The phone restarts and now its saying i have a blank sd card in the notifications field. I took it out and put it back in.
I clicked the option to format the sd card (thats all i can do) and nothing happens the notification doesnt change, it doesnt do anything at all. I tired to connect to my computer thru usb and format from there , once i click format in the explorer window the phone disconnects, the computer says there is no disk in 'F:" and im asked to mount again on my phone. This cycle over and over.
My Eris is not recognized by my computer. It won't allow me to mount my sd card. Any ideas?
