I am looking for a class that implement a horizontal slider bar like the one on the "lock" screen. In other words, user must slide the bar from left to right to run an activity.

I have a slider drawer in my application. If I set wrap_content as a value for the layout_height field, the slider drawer will stretch on the whole screen. Using a constant as a height is not a good alternative either.
Is it possible to have a slider drawer with the height of it's content? code....

Also if I push on the Magnifying Glass while the phone is closed, the phone has quite a bit of downward travel, but the other three corners dont...this happening to anyone else?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy phone unlocks with a slider from left to right (Acer Liquid E 1, Android 2.1), but I would like the vertical slider that my son's have on their HTC Magic phones. (Android 1.6 I believe).
Is there any way of doing this? Their phones are so much easier to unlock, and there are times I go to answer the phone and the side slider just messes things up.
My Gmail account works great, and I have my aol and yahoo acounts set up no problem (well the yahoo was a little problem but got it to work so thats all that matters). I have 2 other email accounts that no matter what I do I can not get them to work. One is my works email which is handled by a company called network solutions. I can get the incoming server setup fine but I can not get the outgoing to work. The other is my school email which is some sort of msn email account variation (username@email.itt-tech.edu which i log into through msn.com). I cant get anything to work for this accuont.

Zoom wheel is pretty cool too or you can use a slider if you prefer. Was playing around with some of the new skin packs - one of them is kind of scary!

My application seems to set the ringer volume when the hardware buttons are pressed. How would I enable the media volume slider? I would hate for users to have to go into their settings to change the media volume when they use my application.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI was able to successfully setup a POP account through the Setup Screen...in fact when I go back through Setup, I still see the account. The problem is I can't DO anything with it in setup (including deleting it to start over) and it doesn't show up in my Apps window with an icon! I see it on the setup screen labeled "Setup Accounts" but no matter if I tap it or hold it or swipe it or try to hit the menu key, it just sits there. There is a green button with the checkmark in it. I guess what I would think i ought to be able to do is to assign it an icon (or even get a generic one) and find the account listed on my app screen...I'm willing to reset it, but I can't even delete it to start!

I want this to be extracting the information from an .xml file. Something looking like:
cat, a small domestic animal, cat.png, cat.mp3
dog, a medium domestic animal, dog.png, dog.mp3
cow, a big domestic animal, cow.png, cow.mp3
I want the image to be clickable, once clicked an audio will play. The audio and image name will always be similar to the name of the object (cat, will be always cat.mp3) .
In Cyanogen Mod settings under lockscreen, my brother disabled the slide to unlock feature, so when I try to unlock the phone I see the lockscreen, but there is no type of slider at all on the lockscreen. Is there anyway to bypass the lockscreen without having to do a factory reset/data wipe?

View 2 Replies View RelatedMaybe it's just me but using the slider everytime you use your phone seems rediculous. I downloaded an app that allows you to disable the lock so now when I press the home button my screen pops up and is ready to use. Once the screen goes to black it is basically locked until you press the home key again. Granted I don't use any password protection and don't have sensitive data on my phone so why use the slider?

So that to unlock the phone I press the slider open, then when I close the slider the phone turns the screen off and locks.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAbout 25% of the time my phone will ring and I go to swipe the lock to answer the call and I get no response from the slider. If and when it does decide to slide the call has already gone to voicemail. And if I turn the slide screen off in settings and the phone rings, tapping the "answer call" button does nothing (again, not all of the time).
I just tried to duplicate it calling my DX from my workphone and it slides fine and answers the call. Anyone have any ideas what might be causing the slider to not slide some of the time? Other than with answering the phone I've had no problems with the touch-screen.
