Jan 12, 2010I have the Motorola Droid and I would like to find a way to get my phone to vibrate when I get a new text message while I have the sounds off. I have my phone set to vibrate mode but it only vibrates when I get an incoming call. Verizon said this was normal but there might be an application to change alert settings and such.

Aug 27, 2010Has anybody found a way to make the trackball blink for various other notifications other than SMS and eMail? I use google talk all the time and I would love to have the trackball light blink slowly (just like the normal alert for a waiting SMS message) when I receive a google talk message that I haven't read. Or how about gMail? They light up the notification led blinking green but there is no trackball notification. I'm actually quite surprised there doesn't seem to be any setting I can find to make the trackball blink for various notifications. My phone's already rooted so that should expand my options but I haven't found anybody that's done this yet.

Mar 30, 2010So I installed Smoked Glass last v6. night and everything was fine. This morning everything was also fine, sent and received 20-30 texts and no issue. About 5 minutes ago I was trying to send a text and I kept getting a message not sent. So then I tried to make a phone call and I could not make a phone call ether. I can still access the internet though. I have 2-3 bars at all times.
Can this be related to me installing the ROM (nothing went wrong with instillation) I wiped all data, installed rom and then backed up with titanum. I have rebooted my phone a couple of times and nothing changed. I also just tried to make a call and it completely rebooted the phone.

Nov 6, 2010I'm rooted but s is still on and nand is not unlocked. I'm running the stock rom.
I use to get little delays occasionally when I tried to make a phone call, and sometimes the keyboard was unresponsive when I tried to text. Always passed in a few minutes.
Now the thing is just lagging. delays all the time regardless of what I'm doing. I also get a message sometimes when I try to take pics saying I don't have file permissions for the sd card. A shutdown will usually resolve this.
Sometimes when I shutdown I can't restart it without popping the battery out for a few seconds.
I thought it might be related to an overclock widget I was trying so I deleted it without improvement.

May 14, 2010I am using handcent for my sms. i think it is great, i can customize it heaps how i want it. however there is an option for changing the colour/rate of the LED blink light for when i get a text, however no matter what i pick it never changes. the little light at the top always blinks every 4-5 seconds in a green colour when i have a new message, however i would love for it to blink blue every second (as i have tried to set it) so that i can differentiate the notifications from reminders and other notifications. is this a problem with the phone not doing wat it is supposed to, or the application isnt working? or a combination, maybe the desire doesnt have any other colours for its LED light?
