View 1 Replies View RelatedOK so Android comes with this great web browser built in, but I've got a problem with it that is driving me nuts... there is no way to change the browser agent string so that it may be detected by websites as a full-featured browser and deliver desktop web page content rather than mobile browser content (You are redirected to ESPN's mobile site for example when browsing to www.espn.com). In Browser Settings I have Mobile view unchecked, but this does not affect being redirected to mobile content websites. I know some people probably prefer the mobile formatted content, but I wish it was at least an option so I could get to the true desktop version of a site if I wanted to.

I want to be able to go straight to the full website rather than be directed to the mobile version when loading a site in the Dolphin browser. I cannot see it in any of the setting menus.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI looked but could not find anything relating to this, so sorry if it is a repeat subject. When I look at apps in the market or appbrain, I read the reviews before getting them. It seems difficult sometimes because spammers run around to so many apps saying "Great, I got the full version at" and it is the exact same thing at dozens of other products.Does the market or appbrain ever monitor their sites for spammers?

View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen I am trying to download files from certain websites, including my school's website, the files attempt to download and complete almost instantly, usually with varying bytes or KB of data downloaded, not the full file. On my school's site I try to download a variety of file types including .pdf .doc .ppt and some .zip and it's the same thing with all of them, this has happened on several other sites as well, but usually I can download these file types without a problem. I am just wondering what could be causing this problem and if it is fixable.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThere are a number of android file hosts such as goo.im, androidfilehost, and lets not forget XDA itself.
These sites are crucial for Android's success, as without them dev support would die. Yet these sites rely on user donations and frequently the site admins own pocket. I donate when I can because of the importance. But the amount they ask for is not much, it wouldn't even matter to Google, and they are the company who should be most concerned about Android.
Is it a conflict of interest thing?
I'm started to get my feet wet with the android framework, and wanted to work on a game but was looking for a partner to work with. I was wondering if there are sites online where people can talk about a project and possibly collaborate and start a new project.
I realize this might be a stupid question, and not appropriate for this board. If so, I apologize.
What are some of the best web sites for Android apps? I'm looking for one or two good ones. Something that will show me not only what's out there but will also give descriptive info on the apps. Will it work with my phone?, what are the known issues with this app?, what apps are currently in development?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI need to write an Android application that allows a user to connect to multiple social networking sites like MySpace, LinkedIn, FaceBook etc. and fetch friends list.
I know that most of these applications have Java libraries or functionalities exposed as REST based WebServices. But since there is a lot of variety and disparity in the ways that these libaries are written or service that can be consumed, is there any single, integrated service or middleware component that I can use to provide a unified interface in my mobile application?
So now that we have flash 10.1 I am wondering what websites you folks are utilizing to take full advantage of the update. I tried mlb.tv but everything comes in extremely choppy and tells me not optimized for mobile. I also went to comedy central.com but that is mostly short clips, So I was wondering if you guys had any sites that you could help the rest of us out with. (Also if someone knows a site to get It's always Sunny in Philly episodes it would be great).
The best site I know of is:
www.allsp.com (Southpark)
What are some flash sites we can look forward to once 2.1 shows up. I cant wait for Justin.tv.

View 20 Replies View RelatedI wanted to get some sites to watch NFL games online. I have found one at ATDHE.net which is pretty good but wanted to see what other people are doing. I've had NFL Sunday Ticket for the past 4-5 years but it was getting really expensive and being a Steelers fan, a lot of their games are on regular TV anyhow. I am going to try to watch online this year and see how it goes. May be switching back to Sunday Ticket though if there are problems.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI hate the fact that when browsing web sites, I'm always directed to the "mobile" (WAP) site if there is one! Just wondeirng if there is a way to keep the Droid X browser from loading mobile (WAP) sites? I don't care to be directed to mobile sites. I know with the HTC Droid Incredible, as well as many other Android smartphones (other than Motorola it seems) there is an option to disable mobile sites and get the actual web site like it would be displayed on a desktop computer.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAnyone figure out how to keep sites from automatically forwarding you to their mobile web version (like comedycentral.com)? The Aria can handle full web and I hate dealing with crippled sites. On my old WM phone there was a browser setting where I could have it be identified as a desktop and not a mobile browser. There is a setting for mobile view, but it doesn't seem to change anything.
