View 4 Replies View RelatedI've synced my android repository just after android sdk 1.6 announced, but found some problem to install my apps with native code (so built by NDK 1.5_r1) then.
I tried to build NDK with the latest source code, bu unfortunately, faile again :( .
So is there any way to get particular version of android source code? for example the android-1.5r3 tag. Would be great if some command like "svn switch /foo/bar/1.5r3" is available.
I found an app called I'M in Android's trunk on git, but that doesn't look like the Google Talk app that comes installed on Android phones.
Does anyone know if that source code is even published?
I can't find the source code for the Android Development Tools Plugin for Eclipse. It seems to have been moved a few times, and when I google the question, the answers point to the wrong places. Also http://source.android.com/discuss seems to be down.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have about twenty pages of information that is stored in tables that needs to be stored in my Android application. Each column is a designated stop on a bus route and the column is filled with times that the bus will be at the stop. There is also certain information that needs to be associated with some times, such as if the bus is handicap accessible at a certain time.
Here is an example of one of the tables: Bus Times
I have thought about using a SQL lite as that seems as though it would be able to store these tables quite easily; but when I think of using SQL I think of dynamic data storage and this shouldn't be changing more than once a year.
Is SQL appropriate for this application? Is there a better way to do this?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy program is targeting Android 1.5. I would like to retrieve system information about the device itself. I have found very few helpful classes by searching the APIs. the best I've found so far is the Runtime class and a few Build.* system properties.
I would like to be able to get information like the total amount of memory on the device, the amount of free memory (which I do not know if the Runtime class is actually giving me, since it specifically refers to memory available to the JVM) along with information about the processor.
Is this information available, and if so, where can I find it?
Is this possible to access a sensor data form native code without using Java at all? I need to access to the sensor as fast as possible, but it seems like the "DELAY_FASTEST" parameter when registering an event change is not fast enough.

For all of you android devs out there that have the Android simulator running on your computer, you know that there are a few built in apps that are already installed on your 'phone'. I had an idea for an app that would utilize a function that is already being done in the spare parts app that comes already installed. I went on to the android developer site, dug through the source code files, and found the spare parts app, and am now trying to set it up so that running it from eclipse on my machine actually runs the app in the simulator.
In other words, I want to be able to make changes to and adjust some of the things in that app for my own needs. But it won't compile, because of a number of different errors. How do I get that source code running on my local machine? Is there some special trick that I just don't know about? I thought that if I could get the source code than the rest would be easy, but it isn't being too easy.
Is there an easy way of getting the Android source code? More than anything else, I just want to be able to look at the source for some of the standard apps, such as the Android Market, Contacts, etc. I took a look at dev.android.com, but I don't see an easy way of getting the source I'm looking for.
