I now want to create a launcher application in android phone, it simply opens the browser with the url "http://<mywebsite>/m".I use uri intent to launch the browser in onCreate function.I execute this program in my G1 phone (Cyan Mod 5). However, when I click the "Home" key, and then re-enter my application through Task list, I lose focus for my last started browser, and the screen blank.Should I need any code in onResume function to re-focus my web!?

Jan 18, 2010I was waiting for Passion for months after reading posts here, literally coming here every day for rumor confirmed, but you all know that's history now. In the stock browser I can turn page by flicking finger on the screen, but isn't using hardware rocker much more precise? Is there a way to do that? In dolphin the rocker sort of does that, but it makes an annoying beep as well. I can turn off sound beforehand to avoid that, but it's easy to forget to turn up sound afterwards. I migrated from HTC 6800 (WM6), the rocker smartly only changes volume when using the phone, while in other situations it smartly turns page instead. Can Droid be up to that?

Jan 15, 2012Often at night when I use phone lowest brightness is still bright so I found apps which can dim it further but then they loose screen contrast too making it difficult to read.
Is there any app which can make night mode of selected apps (browser/gtalk/gmail/other few user selectable apps) background dark & font light / white similar to youtube app?
UC browser had this night mode earlier but latest version they have removed this feature. Ideally such app should be time sensitive & as the night time approaches it should start applying the night mode.

Apr 14, 2014I have the tronsmart CX-919 mini pc running 4.2 and there is an issue with the browser reverting back to the home page or the previous page. When I try to display a webpage on our intranet it reverts back to the homepage or previous page after about 3 hours. I need it to display constantly. I read somewhere that it was a Download Manager issue and disabling it would work but I can't find where to disable it. Also it was stated that Flash was an issue but i tried uninstalling it and it just reinstalled itself and the problem kept occurring. I just want to display a page in a browser and for it to stay on the screen (full screen) until I manually navigate away from it. I plan to leave it on for weeks at a time.

Aug 11, 2010I've created a custom toolbar using a gradient inside a shape. It looks very nice, but since we only have the option for 3 colors (startColor, centerColor, endColor) it looks very round. I would like to do a glass effect, which requires a sharp change in color in the middle. Basically I need 4 colors (startColor, justabovecenterColor, justbelowcenterColor, endColor). Now I could have two shapes sitting on top of each other to get this effect, but I don't want to do this. I'm getting into some tricky UI customization here and that would be very difficult to manage on different sized screens.

Sep 1, 2010I am looking for Deep effect in Android gallery. i did some work around coverflow at http://www.inter-fuser.com/search/label/Coverflow but it also do scroll left and right. it does give me the idea to calculate offset top and left for each item separately but still there is no access. what i am trying to do is, when user scroll, images would scroll from deep behind the right edge to center and then to left side deep behind.i am wondering if anyone have some thought about arranging the imageView's on deep offset (something like V shape ) rather than on horizontal as it is.

Feb 12, 2009there seems to be a dead-lock problem when using sound effects with SoundPool. I was hoping the the problem would be fixed in the new firmware update, but unfortunately, it was not. The application still locks up after couple of minutes when playing sound effects using SoundPool. My application is a game playing a background music scenario with multiple simultaneous sound effects. Any word from devs as when we can expect stable SoundPool would be very welcome.
