I would like to record from the device microphone and then be able to calculate the beats per second of the recorded audio, is it possible and how? is there any open source project I can look?

I have android 4.2.1 and i tried to install beats audio on it, it didn't work well so I deleted it using URL....Beats was gone but now I cannot access default android equalizer, when I open it is like this now,.

i have tried everything i could find, flashed all zips from Rocodev's thread, i also tried modified dsp manager with integrated beats audio and it worked for a few hours and after that , sound just rols back to stock... low volume and bad sound..
i tried everything, wipe dalvik cache before or after installing, fixing permitions manualy and in recovery, flashing with cwm and manually...... i have reflashed my rom every time after non secssfull installing beats audio,so im asking u, am i doing something wrong or beats audio is just not compatible with this device ?!?!?

My first mistake before installing the drivers was not backing up anything, yes I know that's bad. Okay so I installed the drivers with beats audio from the market then rebooted. Now I have no sound at all. No ring no music nothing. And my phone is running a lot worse now. Now come to find out apparently beats audio is not removable. The drivers can't be removed. I really need sound. Is there a way to unroot and completely factory reset the phone through factory settings?

I can also load an application from Eclipse to the ADP1 fine. The computer shows puzzles based on numbers, shapes and colours: the player must solve them and touch the correct answer to go to the next round, trying to be as fast as possible. We implemented 3 different modes that must be unlocked by playing more and more. You can play games under the "Training" areas so to train yourself and challenge your friends locally (there are 6 slots to store the profiles of the players).
Online Challenge
But the core of 1 Minute Game is the online challenge, which allows the players (once per day) to play a special match and to send the result to an online leader board. Each score shows also the nationality selected by each player try to get your country at top of the ranking. The ranking is visible both through the application and visiting the web site of the game.
Free DLC
In order to make the game more appealing and let you enjoy it for more time, we are developing new games to be released for free in the next versions of the application. For example, this morning (it's a matter of minutes) we will release the version 1.1 which contains a brand new game in the training section: The intruder. In each round, all of the objects shown on the screen share the same characteristic (same shape, colour, number or animation) except for one: that's the Intruder!
New games of logic will be released once they are completed and fully tested through future news.
LITE version
There is also a LITE version in the Market: 1 Minute Game LITE (limited number of levels, no online challenge and 2 slots to store the users' profiles), so you can try it and see if it is worth to buy the Full one. This LITE version includes the additional training "The Intruder" as well.

1) On my phone (OS 2.1) the standard alarm clock plays fine, but plays for only 1 minute before snoozing it self. Shouldn't it play the tune until I snooze it myself?
2) I hear everybody rave about Kaloer clock... so I downloaded it, and yes, very pretty and seemingly very customizable... but, of all the music I have on the phone (several gigs), it strangely only detects 2 songs.. why? The location directory for those two songs is the same as the rest..

View 1 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the Beats Audio Installer Android application on my HTC Sensation and my Samsung Galaxy Note, but each time I run the installer I get and error message:
"Error: java.io.IOException: Error running exec(). Command: [su] Working Directory: null Environment: null
I had installed Beats Audio Installer which did improved the Quality of Sound on my Headsets and even Beats Headset were Supported...but it spoiled the sound of my phone Speaker.. that is.. Crackling and low sound on some Default Presets of MusicFX. so i had to uninstall it. after Removing Beats.. My Phone Speaker Problem got Fixed but.. MusicFX is working no longer. wen i choose sound effects in default ICS music Player. it Says "Unfortunately MusicFX stopped Working". i tried Clearing Cache and Data of Both Music player and MusicFX but nothing works. I even installed third party Equalizers but all crashes showing Same Message. I even Installed N7 Music player and when i select its Equalizer it says. "But we cannot Initialize Equalizer."
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am on Three UK, and I manually searched for an update for my Galaxy Note 3 today, while on my wireless network. My phone showed that a KitKat 4.4.2 update was available which was approx. 391 MB in size. Downloaded and installed it.
The install worked fine, but after the install, my phone seems to be draining the battery at 1% every minute. I have turned off GPS, wireless, mobile data etc. but to no avail.I don't even have Skype installed on my phone (as Google asked some users to uninstall Skype)
Since I've been using the cm 10 and 10.1 based roms (4.1.x and 4.2.x, respectively) I've noticed the DSP Manager or Awesome beats audio effects randomly stop effecting the sound. It was noted here:

That pausing and playing the audio player will re-enable the EQ effects. I normally use Google Music on the HTC Rezound running a variant of CM10.1 (4.2.2) but others have stated other devices and are doing this as well.
I just played with it by force closing the DSP manager process while listening to music. This did not in and of itself stop the EQ effects. Once I reopened the DSP manager app and again stop/start or pause played the effect was re enabled. Simply restarting the DSP manager app did not re enable the effect.
I need to calculate a rotation vector out of the data i get from Sensor.TYPE_ORIENTATION. The sensor data is defined like this: the values have to be recalculated to become a correct 3d position: values[0]: Azimuth, angle between the magnetic north direction and the Y axis, around the Z axis (0 to 359). 0=North, 90=East, 180=South, 270=West values[1]: Pitch, rotation around X axis (-180 to 180), with positive values when the z-axis moves toward the y-axis. values[2]: Roll, rotation around Y axis (-90 to 90), with positive values when the x-axis moves away from the z-axis need all three values like the Z axis value (from 0 to 360 degree). I tried a lot but cant figure out how to do this :/ So i bet there is a simple solution how to recall the values of sensor.TYPE_ORIENTATION to make them a 3d rotation vector, but i just dont know how to do it. View 1 Replies View RelatedIn my app I am displaying a table where the individual cells are editable text fields (i.e. EditText objects). I am currently struggling calculating appropriate widths for these.
If I set the width to be as many "Ems" as the displayed text has characters, my fields are much to wide by about a factor of 2 and the table looks ugly and wastes lots of precious screen space. Setting the width in "Ems" is essentially like assuming the worst case, i.e. the width of a string under the assumption that it contains only the broadest characters in a font, usually 'M' (hence the name of the method), 'm', 'W', or '_'). But on average strings contain narrower characters and so most of these fields are half empty and much too wide for their actual content. I am thus desperately seeking a way to calculate a better fitting width, not that worst case width.
The "normal" way to do this in Java (in AWT or Swing at least) is to asks a widget's current Font (actually a Font's FontMetrics), to calculate and return the width that will be necessary to display a given string in pixels. But how does one obtain a TextView's Font? I haven't found any method to obtain a (Text)View's font and/or calculate a more appropriate width given the actual content of a cell's text string. How does one do that in Android?
I'm building a text at runtime that will be put into a TextView. This text has composed with different size fonts. I must calculate the width in pixels of this text. I have tried to use Paint.measureText, but it does not consider the different font sizes.
How can I calculate the real width?

I'm definitely diggin' Swype on my Evo, however I've got a question that hopefully has a simple answer. My phone used to go to sleep after a minute, which is what I like/want. Since I installed the Swype Beta today, it won't. I have to go and tap my power button to make it sleep. Is there a work around for this?

Basically, whenever I get any notification like an email or text, the notification sound goes off as it should. However, if I decide not to look at the email or text, the sound will go off every minute until I read the message. Do any of you guys know if there is a way to stop this?
