I need to encrypt the outgoing voice stream and decrypt the incoming phone voice stream in real time. Please guide me if this project is possible with the android sdk

I purchased a Chinese Android mobile which has the MTK6573 chipset. It is called a Star A3.
Love the phone however I regularly see the alert/error "Restricted access changed" in the status bar and the signal drops off both SIMS. If I pull down the status bar and check details it says "Voice call service blocked".
What is interesting is that it is always the Vodafone NZ SIM card even if I swap cards between SIM slots. Other SIM is 2Degrees.
I've searched the internet but there seems very little info on this subject other than to say that some HD9 users have had the same issue and have Spice Mi 350n users.
It could be a IMEI issue but I'm not so sure.
I've turned off my SIM data connection which was linked to my 2Degrees SIM and now both SIMS manifest the same error. If I re-enable data on the 2Degrees SIM only the Vodafone SIM gives the error ***
I am planning on developing my specific voip app for android.when a phone call occurs I want to hear the person who's calling on my local pc speakers and I want to speak to him via my own pc microphone / headset. So I need to send the audio stream of both me and the person I am talking to via the wlan network.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI use Google Voice (love it) primarily because of it's visual voicemail on my Droid. I do have a Google Voice number, and I'm trying to decide whether to set the Droid app to "make calls using Google Voice" or not.
I have no problem with giving out a different number, and my placed calls seeing the GV number in caller ID.
My question is, does this affect how the call is actually connected, from a quality standpoint? I tired a call both ways, and the sound quality seemed a little bit different. But then, I am an obsessive compulsive weirdo.
Is there any difference in call quality or routing between making a native Verizon call and a Google Voice call on Droid? (Like, does Google voice actual use 3G to connect to Google server over the internetz, then place the phone call?)
I want to access the Android call list, so I can see the contact name, the hour of the calling, the duration, the hour of the calling and the date. Where is it, and how can I access it?

I also know that blocking an incoming phone call is not possible yet and is an issue Google devs are working on.In the app i'm coding, I easily manage to detect an incoming phone call by listening to the phone state. But I cant make the phone NOT ring and NOT show the incoming phone call screen.I' ve tried to cut off the network via a ServiceState object, but that doesn't seem to work.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am new to smart phones, I bought an unlocked S2 gt-I9100, I checked to make sure it read my sim card before buying..it did..but didn't realize the data wasn't working. So I've searched high and low and now I'm here. When you go to APN and open it all it has at the top is APN, you can't access anything. I tried various programs to achieve this but they all say "your android phone does not allow automatic APN setup" So I try to manually do it and it pops the APN page up and you can't do anythng but the program is in the notification thing at the top thinking it is working I guess.

I am not sure at what point this setting has been introduced, I have seen it on 2.1 and 2.2. It has "voice recognizer settings" in it, in there you can set Language, SafeSearch and Block offensive words.
How do I access those settings from API? Especially I want to know if the language is set to English.
Also can someone clarify at which version this setting has been introduced? I noticed that voice recognition was using Locale setting before.
Am trying to recognize the voice when am in a call by running the service in background. Is it possible to achieve ? If you have any idea on this please provide me ASAP.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm sure its been discussed and all but I think that the voice recognition software is capable of being much more advanced.There should be a way to just give your phone a voice command without having to manually open an app. It probably would have to be running in the background the whole time, analyzing everything it hears, so it may use a lot of battery and cpu.therefore it may be easier to have a starter phrase to tell it to listen more carefully. for example: say the said app is running in the background,listening to every noise, but it wouldn't begin to really analyize until you say something like; "hey, phone!" or "yo, droid!" (or whatever tag phrase). I don't know what would have to go into an app like that for it to work but hey, if an app like that was designed, then I think the android would be a really smart smartphone. In the end thanks for all the awesome apps you guys are already developing. be sure to tell me when someone develops something like that though.
