Using standard Google navi software, incoming and outgoing calls are vertical when the should orientated horizontally like the rest of the phone in the horizontal dock/mount. Its a new Moto Droid with 2.1 I believe.

In messaging application screen i am trying to attach a audio , it pop up a dialog and, at the same time some incoming call came, after disconnecting the call the popup dialog displayed (half) not full dialog ( only header of dialog visible no buttons are visible to select or cancel),
It is not happening in the portrait mode,
how to solve it.
I'm not sure if it's an issue with my Desire or my SIM card or network (T-Mobile). Basically, I will have a full signal but if a person tries to call me will be forwarded to my voicemail. I will then receive a text informing me that I have a missed call. Also, when calling a contact, there will sometimes be a long delay before it finally connects and begins to ring.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a layout with a ListView that contains EditText objects that can requestFocus() when the user chooses to edit the list item. I make sure to call setSelection() on the ListView when this happens, and then have the EditText request focus and then use InputMethodManager.showSoftInput to show the soft keyboard. However, when this happens, the list view is being resized correctly, but the selected list item remains below the fold and the user has to scroll up. This is working properly on 2.2, but is failing on 2.1. Any ideas for making sure the list selection remains visible?

View 11 Replies View RelatedEver since the upgrade to froyo I have been having nothin but problems out of my touchscreen. My status bar in portrait mode doesn't drag properly, anything in the top area never responds with touch, none of my keyboards function properly they work at times but some letters can't be pressed, the lockscreen takes 4 or 5 tries to get it to unlock, things press and move without me touching anything. There are more things but this is so hard to type on my phone.
View 9 Replies View Relatedfor those of you running moxier mail on exchange with a polling mode, have you ever noticed it doesn't successfully always update? I am seeing that at times i will set it to a 1 hour polling mode for example but it won't bring down new emails. If i notice on the moxier settings page the last synch'd time is further back than the polling interval i'll hit 'synch now' and it ALWAYS brings down any new messages.
I contacted moxier and they seem to think its an issue with my server. I should also say my IT department doesn't support moxier/android explicitly but there is no reason it shouldn't work as designed they say. I have dug into the moxier logs and it seems that everytime i see a failure the following similar entries appear to be in the logs:.............

View 4 Replies View RelatedThese are our only phones and they stay on the night stand while we sleep. With the BB there were sound profiles you could easily select and the most useful one was "calls only". You select that and all of your notifications go silent except for incoming calls which would ring. This was perfect for switching on right before bed.
This is more of an issue for my wife because she's usually on call 24/7 so it's important to wake up or hear incoming calls overnight so vibrate mode isn't going to cut it. But at the same time, she has various notifications for email and messages and all of that so it's incredibly tedious to have to manually tweak all of those each night before bed and then turn them back on. So, at the very least is there an app or a way to easily switch the phone into a phone call notification only mode? A full blown sound profile app would be great too, but just being able to easily turn all notifications silent but the ringer with a few taps on the screen would be huge.
I'm a new user to this site, search for some related problems, but I couldn't find anything related to my problem that resolves it.I bought a HTC Magic this week, the best mobile I ever owned.Anyways, the problem is that when someone calls, the "Silent Mode" icon shows up at the "taskbar" and no sound is played. It's really annoying because I can't find the settings for it.I haven't set them to be like this, but it worked the same day I bought it.Not now.So, incoming call->no sound and the icon shows up->the orb flickers->I answer and I can talk without problems.The only thing is that even tho the ringer volume is at max, no sound is played during an incoming call.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm on Virgin Mobile, LB Optimus F3 4G LTE (it wasn't an option in the forums, so I came here instead). Not sure if this is an Android feature or an LG feature.
Anyway, this thing called "Quiet Mode" will randomly turn itself on at nighttime or in the middle of the day with no warning and silence all sounds and block calls from all contacts. This is obviously frustrating. I'm not bumping it in my pocket or anything -- you can't even turn this mode on without unlocking the screen and scrolling all the way over in my top pull-down bar. For instance, it's been sitting on the chair next to me for the last two hours and I just checked it and it's been in Quiet Mode for who knows how long.
I can add contacts to the allowed calls list, but I still won't hear the ring, and I can only add a limited number of contacts. Also, all the writing within this mode is really poor English, which is odd. Example: "Please mind that incoming calls with exactly the same numbers with below list will only be allowed." Anyway, it can be scheduled for certain times and I'm going to try scheduling it for just one minute from 4:00 - 4:01 AM every night and see if that satiate its compulsion to be in control.
Any ways I can keep it from doing this otherwise? It doesn't appear to be an app that I can fiddle with.
Not sure if this is technically the "silent bug" but calls do not even show up on the phone, they just appear as "missed call from...." no noise no other notification. I restarted phone but it did it again right away. Phone does show the 50% bug in battery info.

The screen doesnt light up and no options for receiving calls. This happened before I installed Google voice. I disabled Google voice and still no joy. Everything else works. What happens (on my sgs2) is that the video records just fine in whatever resolution I pick... but it records it 90 degrees rotated to the right.
The solution that is usually offered is that "you can rotate it after!" yes... but then you have to CROP part of the image and lower the resolution. 1920 x 1080 recordings end up having to be cropped so that half of the view is cut out , or even more if you are maintaining a real aspect ratio.
The questions about "why not just hold it sideways", are just as pointless as the statement by steve jobs telling iphone4 users that they were holding their phones wrong.
is this something that can be remedied ? or has google decided that people should only record videos when their phones are in landscape mode?
i understand that we cant see landscape resolution in portrait mode; but can't we just have a viewport into the camera, but record in properly oriented landscape mode? so that playback on a computer will show the full resolution, even though we will only see part of it on the phone..
dialer in kitkat is always in landscape mode when call is ongoing....how can we set it in portrait mode

Normally, when debugging, I would have to uninstall and reinstall the app because it doesn't see the new values in the database.Now, it's doing the same thing on the market.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to make sure my application looks good on the droid, my AVD seems to be messing up. The resolution is off, as the apps shortcuts are spaced the same as my g1 (I know they are usually spaced further apart, and the AVD loaded correctly once, and it's been jacked up since). Also changes I make are often not reflected, and when running a build it no longer says application already installed attempting to re-install, it just says installed successfully.In short, is there any way to fix an AVD that is acting up like this? I have tried deleting it and remaking it, but that doesn't fix it.

What I want to know is if this is ok to leave it on the charger at night for that amount of time?Also, when the phone is getting pretty low on battery I plug it in before the warning comes on to charge. Is this bad? But no matter what I charge the phone at night even if it was recharged at some point during the day. Will this ruin the battery?
