I updated my android application on the market.This update included a change in the databaseHelper file where I put in more data and tables. Normally, when debugging, I would have to uninstall and reinstall the app because it doesn't see the new values in the database.Now, it's doing the same thing on the market.
Why is this happening?How can I fix this?Is it possible to 'rollback' the changes to the app?

Had my Hero (T-mobile branded G2...) since release day, but in the last week or so I've had a few issues. Firstly, Gmail isn't synchronising regularly. Sometimes mail comes through instantly, sometimes it doesn't update for a day or more (if I open the Gmail app and "Refresh" it pulls the new mails down). I can't think of anything I've installed that could cause this (all i've installed in the last week are a few soundboards)Secondly, if I go into Market and try to either install a new app, or update an existing one, it sticks on "Starting download..." until I connect to Wifi (then downloads the app immediately). Is there a problem with the Market at the moment, or is this more likely to be a network issue?
View 8 Replies View Relatedafter using my mobile for few minutes, my battery % reduces , but when i get into recovery page it shows the correct % of my battery and when i do the battery stat wipe, my % in mobile turns back to normal....and its not the rom problem, cause am facing it in all roms.

When I try to enter something into the url/search bar on either the stock browser or dolphin hd (which is what I normally use) one of two things happens. Either the input box simply closes after a few keystrokes and I have to start from scratch, or the input on my screen doesnt match up with what is actually sent. Generally, the autocorrect will not be updating properly, and will refuse to even give me the option to send what I've written and will insist I go to a previous page, even If I just want to do a Google search from the bar.
Other times, it will start to accept input into the suggestion window but stop after a few letters, and when I hit return to go, it will only take those few letters it has acknowledged, rather than what is actually in the Input window. The only work around I've found Is that if I just close the keyboard and click the box again, the correction window will be gone and it will use the text I'd entered. This is only if I am in the version of they keyboard with the .com shortcut, e.g. URL entry. The fact that it happens in multiple browsers make me feel like it's a problem with how the sense keyboard is handling URL input.
I am currently using ESPN ScoreCenter with Launcher Pro Plus and the widget won't update.It used to, but for some reason it stopped one day. I stopped using it and went to SportsTap.Again, it worked at first, but then said no games scheduled (which I know wasn't true).I went back to ESPN, but it won't do anything when I hit the widget. I have to go to my app drawer to open it to get any kind of information. What's the point of a widget if it doesn't do anything except take up space?Any ideas out there? (I tried deselecting the home screen cache option in LPP, but it didn't matter)
View 10 Replies View Relatedfor those of you running moxier mail on exchange with a polling mode, have you ever noticed it doesn't successfully always update? I am seeing that at times i will set it to a 1 hour polling mode for example but it won't bring down new emails. If i notice on the moxier settings page the last synch'd time is further back than the polling interval i'll hit 'synch now' and it ALWAYS brings down any new messages.
I contacted moxier and they seem to think its an issue with my server. I should also say my IT department doesn't support moxier/android explicitly but there is no reason it shouldn't work as designed they say. I have dug into the moxier logs and it seems that everytime i see a failure the following similar entries appear to be in the logs:.............

View 3 Replies View RelatedAnyone having trouble with widgets stop updating? Like my clock/calendar/weather/news/pretty much any widget i have stops updating after an hour. So i look at my clock widget two hours later and it is an hour behind. Happens to ALL my widgets.Even the quick turn on/off wifi,bt,gps and such. They just stop updating/showing animation.I have ADW launcher installed. I am wondering if it is that. I do not really want to remove it as i hate the stock 3 button interface at the bottom (why do i need a contacts and phone, just use the phone to look thru contacts, wasted space IMO) and am quite keen on keeping the 5 button.Any ideas? If i power off the phone and turn it back on it's fine again for about an hour. SOmetimes randomly thru the day it will start updating and working fine again then randomly stop again.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to make sure my application looks good on the droid, my AVD seems to be messing up. The resolution is off, as the apps shortcuts are spaced the same as my g1 (I know they are usually spaced further apart, and the AVD loaded correctly once, and it's been jacked up since). Also changes I make are often not reflected, and when running a build it no longer says application already installed attempting to re-install, it just says installed successfully.In short, is there any way to fix an AVD that is acting up like this? I have tried deleting it and remaking it, but that doesn't fix it.

What I want to know is if this is ok to leave it on the charger at night for that amount of time?Also, when the phone is getting pretty low on battery I plug it in before the warning comes on to charge. Is this bad? But no matter what I charge the phone at night even if it was recharged at some point during the day. Will this ruin the battery?

Started on the missus iphone that it stopped sayiing 'Welcome to CoPilot' when you started the app (even though it is switched to on in the settings), also none of the directions are audible yet the button clicks are fine. Currently i am doing Migration of Applications available in 1.5 to android 2.0.
During the work time i have come up with one issue as follow:
The DateFormat of android is not returning the value in CAPITAL Letters for AM/PM in 2.0 where as in 1.5 it is doing absolutely fine.

I looked all over the web and in this group for a solution but I don't seem to have any luck. I'm probably not the only developer that needs to try C2DM on the emulator so a solution to this could be quite useful. First of all let me say that I'm running the latest Google APIs 8 rev 2 as AVD which should have all the necessary magic to allow me to run C2DM (it even has all the market components to run the LVL). I tried both Chrome to Phone and Jumpnote and it was impossible to make the C2DM service work. - Chrome to Phone fails when trying to connect from the Android app running on the emulator with a "Error: Unable to connect". On the Chrome to Phone site they recommend that Talk should be tried first and that the Market should be available (none of these come in the emulator image and I'm not sure if I should even try to install them on the emulator). - Jumpnote does not synchronize automatically and gives me an error: "Error calling remote note sync RPC" (when I do a manual sync I can see the docs being synchronized but looks like C2DM, which enables the auto sync, is broken). I also heard a comment that maybe port forwarding via adb could be necessary (but I'm really not sure this makes any sense).

View 14 Replies View RelatedI am using the showDialog and dismissDialog methods to show progress dialogs in my app. Moved from creating the dialog and calling show() on it to using this in order to save state when changing orientation.But when I change the orientation from portrait->landscape->portrait, the dismissDialog no longer dismisses the dialog. The dialog stay there all the time and I need to press the back button for it to disappear.

First the page loads properly in android but when we scroll then it doesnt display anything on the screen. But I am able to click on links and it navigates properly. So am assuming that there is text on the screen but its not getting displayed.
I did look at issues posted in google code where they said that its the problem with transparent gif and suggested to use base64 value. I tried that, even then its not working.

My problem is that when my phone syncs with my Google Calendar, events that aren't on my Google Cal sometimes show up on my phone's calendar. The events that are showing up are events that repeat on a weekly basis but I deleted them for certain weeks on my Google Cal, yet they still show up on my phone. This is starting to become a hassle because I keep thinking that I have to do things when I really don't. I've already cleared the calendar data on my phone and restarted like the Google troubleshooting tips say, but that didn't work.

If you receive emails from this list in digest form and try to read the email on your Android phone (or at least on the Nexus One, the only phone I have experience with), when you click on any of the topics listed at the top of the email, you get an "Unauthorized: Error 401" error. If you read the email on your PC and click any of the links, it takes you to the topic you clicked, as expected. I know that this isn't a developer issue but I am not sure what other group to post it to.
