Amazon Kindle on my phone stopped getting book samples. I have three samples already but I can't get any more. The Amazon website says sample being sent to device, but when I go check the Kindle app, it never gets there. I deregistered, installed, etc. It won't sync new samples.

Here's my problem , after i accidentally remove google account from my phone and after i re-added my google account back to the phone , my phone keep redownload deleted apps . I tried to disable google sync like google drive and data and samsung backup and even disabled backup on my phone but its still not working. Hint: On a Palm, Fred would just 'beam' the app to Bob's pda (we're assuming that it's a freely downloadable app, not requiring payment or registration). On an Android phone, can Fred somehow share it over Bluetooth, or display a QR Code for the app so that Bob can use his Barcode Scanner to get it from the Market (or slimeme.org, or wherever)? As far as I know, no file manager has a "display barcode" function (like Contacts does when you have Barcode Scanner installed), so I'm forced to describe the app, or go into the application list and dig out its "com.vendor.app" name. View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Chinese clone of Galaxy S4 called No.1 S6 with MTK6589 Cpu and Android 4.2.1 (Odexed Rom), well, I tried to replace some system app like contacts, phone and mms with the same apps taken from the Slim bean 4.2.2 Rom for the Google Nexus 4 that has the same screen resolution.
I odexed the slim bean apks with dexopt-wrapper as explained here [URL] ...., I signed them with auto-sign software, so I put them into system/app folder with right permissions, deleting old apks first, rebooted the phone, wiped cache in recovery and when the phone booted the apk I replaced was gone, so I think there's a compatibility problem between my system apps and nexus 4 ported apps, maybe I have to take the slim bean (or other ROMS, whatever) sources and edit the apks and make them compatible with my phone...
How to port system apps from other devices with different software?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI recently decided to try out making my app tentatively "GoogleTV ready" by ensuring a user can do everything without ever entering Touch mode. For most stuff it is pretty straight forward, but I'm scratching my head at MapView/ItemizedOverlay: The docs appear to indicate that onTap(index) should do the trick, but it seems not to work the way I expect it to. "onTap ... This could be from a touchscreen tap on an onscreen Item, or from a trackball click on a centered, selected Item..."
Working around it using onTrackballEvent() and perhaps an onFocusChangeListener seems possible, but the documentation appears to indicate that this should not be needed for simple cases, right? I get the circle in the center and can move around with the D-pad/trackball, but when trying to select, hitTest() is not called and onTap(index) appears to be called with stale info. Anyone got a working code snippet? (Mark's NooYawk sadly doesn't work and googling came up with blanks apart from questions without answers).
I've been working on my project for a while and have decided to share it's source so that I can get help from people and finish it and post it to the market (it's a highly addictive and fun card game). However, I have published it on google code at:

The biggest disappointment is that it doesn't seem to read QR Code. If so, it would at least be a replacement for Barcode Scanner. That way I would use it more regularly as goggles is improved.
