Creating SwipeView - Allow User To Move Through Screens By Flicking Current Screen?

I have the beginnings of an app that will eventually comprise of three screens. I want to allow the user to move through the screens by flicking the current screen.
The screens should be positioned horizontally: 1 - 2 - 3
So, a flick from right to left should move from 1 to 2, a flick from left to right should move from 3 to 2 and 2 should be able to move to pages 1 and 3 respectively.I believe this is called SwipeView but cannot find any clear instructions on how to implement this.

I have recently just switched from a iPhone to HTC One, I came across some really cool home screens (such as on minimal android), I didn't know you could customize these, so now i am very eager to try them out myself. However clicking through some of the home screen instructions, there is a section called "ROM", does this mean the device has to rooted first?

LG G Pad 8.3 running stock Android 4.2.2? How to create a new user. It's like LG forgot to show the "Add User" button under "Settings -> Users". Unfortunately there are no LG G Pad forum on XDA, and LG do not have any customer support. They basically do not pick up the phone. And since it's a new device, there are not much information about it yet.

The default behavior of an activity when BACK softkey is pressed is, GO BACK TO PREVIOUS ACTIVITY. If some the same activity is waiting for some response from server or some data updation is going on and then press BACK, I want to wait on the same screen till the current task is completely processed and then move out to the previous activity.

So, I'm new to the Android family and I'm curious about the Super User Account. I have no desire to root and install custom mods, I just want the ability to remove all the bloat ware associated with the phone.
My understanding is that I will need to unlock the boot loader, and then install "something" to create the Super User account.

I know how to remove widgets... you long press on them to move them/delete them. My problem is this: I don't know how to remove regular icons on the Hero. On the Moment, everything was simply long press to remove. On this, long pressing the application icons on my home screen(s) just opens the associated programs. I kind of wanted to move them around, I don't wanna have to delete a scene everytime I want to move one icon around.
In short: How do you move/delete application icons from the home screens? (long pressing doesn't work for me)

Is there a way to find the email address of the user of the phone? I have a software that requires password. However, sometimes people forget their password and want a reset. I think the best is to send an email to the user of the phone, instead of prompting the email address at the time the forget their password. Because who knows, it could be one of their friends that picks up the phone and likes to reset the password as a prank.

The LocationManager API in android seems like it's a bit of a pain to use for an application that only needs an occasional and rough approximation of the user's location.The app I'm working on isn't really a location app per se, but it does need to get the user's location in order to display a list of nearby businesses. It doesn't need to worry about if the user is moving around or anything like that.Show the user a list of nearby locations.Preload the user's location so that by the time I need it in Activity X, it will be available. Don't particularly care about accuracy or frequency of update. Just grabbing one location is sufficient as long as it's not way off. Maybe if I want to be fancy I'll update the location once every few mins or so, but it's not a huge priority.
Work for any device as long as it has either a GPS or a Network Location provider.

So I've been less than thrilled with the Moment since purchasing the phone in April. Battery life stinks, camcorder quality is terrible (especially with the 2.1 upgrade), camera is fair but severely lacking in features, the phone has slow touch response times, and it's ridiculously bulky. I have wanted to put some videos up on youtube of me performing some of my music and the quality of the camcorder is so bad that is not an option. I have held off purchasing a separate Flip camcorder because I knew there would be a smart phone by Sprint that had a full-fledged camcorder integrated with the phone.At the time I bought it, it was simply the best smart phone Sprint offered. But the Samsung Epic 4G is going to be the phone I wanted initially. The specs are incredible, and since I won't use a phone without a slider keyboard the phone is perfect for me. Besides being much faster and full-featured than the Moment, the form factor seems a good bit slimmer than the Moment too (I've seen pictures of the phone only, but you can tell it's slimmer in the pictures).

How to convert user apps to system apps? Many apps give fc because of some missing files. I would like to move whatsapp and maps to system to get some free internal memory.

I have an app that uses SwipeView. 4 pages in all, each page with some text and a video (different on each page).
Currently you can click on a video then swipe to the next page and click on the next video whilst the other still plays. You could potentially have all 4 videos playing at the same time.
How can I stop a video playing once the page it is on is not the one with the SwipeView focus?

I have the ability to play a video in one app and the fact that it references the Eclipse default SwipeView, now have another app with 4 swipe view pages.
However I cannot for the life of me find out how to make the content of each page show the text I have within the xml documents (basically, I want to combine app 1 and app 2).
It seems to come down to two parts:

and I tried this, creating the relevant classes. However I could not get any further. The classes remain empty.
I have an xml document for each page content so all I need the select case to do is display the relevant xml document.
Oh, and shouldn't the above select case have a break within each case? Or am I missing something in this code?

Is there any way to disable the screen that shows all the 7 screens after tapping the home screen? If not disable get rid of it all together.

I call WebView.clearHistory(), but I am still able to go back after doing so. I want to reuse a WebView, but I don't want the back button to allow the user to go back further than the current "session" of using the WebView. Anybody know what is the best way to handle this? I thought for sure that clearHistory() would do it.

is it possible to manually rotate the screen or fix the current screen orientation (with a key/button)? because it really annoys me having taken portrait pictures that cannot be viewed (with the media gallery application) in a portrait fashion on the milestone. this is because it always rotates the portrait picture back to landscape when rotating the milestone from landscape to portrait. right now there is no way of properly viewing portrait pictures on the milestone other than tilting your head (holding the milestone landscape and tilting your head along).this cannot be the way it was intended to be, right? or do I have to get a different viewing software which allows you to choose screen orientation? is there such an app?

Ive been on Sprint for a few years now, currently using the Diamond which is the biggest pile of trash ever pushed on to a mobile phone user. With the Big promotions I tried getting the moment throught best buy 179 deal for existing customers but sprint told best buy that I wasnt at 22 months on my current contract ( which is the 500 sero plan through 8/1/2010 ) so I cant get and upgrade ( except 75 bucks off the msrp through sprint ). Im pretty pissed, what options do I have?

I have had this same problem happen twice to me on 2 different phones on 2 different Verizon accounts!
The password screen locks and when it asks for the user name and password it states invalid user name / password!
Is this a known problem since when I called and talked to both Verizon and HTC the only thing they could tell me was to do a hard reset and they weren't aware of this problem?

As we known, there are 3 home screens in the android's default launcher. we can move the right screen or the left screen. and we don't know how many pages are in left-hand & right hand sites . so I want to modify the android's launcher, and add an indicator to show how many pages are in left-hand & right hand sites on the android's home screen. now, I found the Launcher source in the "src/app/packages". I've been looking up everywhere as to how to make apps, but everything i see is too complicated and i don't understand it. What i want to do is create a simple app that has a bunch of pages that you swipe to get to the next page, each page will just be a picture with a single button on it that links to some text. How would i go about doing this? (i have no programming experience)
