I have popup in my android app. In popup I have button for closing popup with id="imbClosePopUp", but when I try to set to that button clickListener app crashs.code...
Does anybody know what is the problem and how to close popup?

I have an app that is setting the contentView when images are clicked.This one from my main.xml loads the options.xml fine.code...
But when I add a listener to an image that is inside the options.xml the app crashes upon launch.I am referencing the image via the code below and showing the clickListener I am adding.code...
Trying to see if there was an error thrown but LogCat does not seem to show anything.
In my application i have a button initially on the screen and in onclick of the button ,popup window should open. In the popup window i have an imagebutton , now on click of this button i want to start an activity. The popup window opens but i dont understand how to handle the onclick of the imagebtn inside popup window.
In main.xml i have a button and in popup_example.xml i have an imagebutton.

I tried the apps "Handcent" and "Sms Popup" and set them to automatically display a popup on the lock screen when there is a new sms (similiar to the iPhone).Both apps, however, only display the popup after the lock screen.I guess this has something to do with this "great" touchwiz overlay Samsung is using. Any way to fix this?
View 1 Replies View Relatedthe problem is that this button doesn't exit of my app... it simply closes the current intent ant returns to the previous intent (window) of my app.... how i can do a real exit/close button? i tryed with this:

but it doesn't works, because when i turn back into my app, the app comes in the last opened window, and not in the first window of the app, how i can do that? i need that when i re-open my app it starts on the first window of my app
I feel a little bit silly asking this, but I haven't been able to find any answers on my own. My Force Close dialog has a "Report" button. I think it's a great idea, and I wish everyone had it. At first, I thought it must be something I turned on without realizing it, but not only can't I find any setting that I might have touched, I also can't find any reference to this button existing on the Internet. I have a Droid, and I know 4 other people with Droids, and they say they don't have the option to report Force Closes. Am I special? Am I just missing something? The "report" button has been there for at least a few weeks now.When I use the Report button, I get a screen with a "feedback" field and a checkbox for "Include system data". Below that , it says "Information from feedback reports will be shown to the developer of the application." Under that are Preview and Send buttons.As a developer, I've never received one of these reports.I'd try to send a report to myself, but it seemingly only shows the button for apps installed from the market, and I don't know of a way to crash my production app.I suppose I could publish a simple crashing app just to try it out, but I thought I'd ask you folks first.Edit:You can view screenshots here: http://bentobin.com/crashReportImages/

Once i uncomment the line in red, it will pop up a box stating that the application was stopped unexpectedly. Can someone please help me with this? code...

The purpose is to type a search screen in the EditText, press the button and have the search results populate this list. This is all working perfectly, but the virtual keyboard is behaving strange. If I click the EditText, I get the virtual keyboard. If I click the "Done" button on the virtual keyboard, it goes away. However, if I click my search button before clicking "Done" on the virtual keyboard, the virtual keyboard stays and I can't get rid of it. Clicking the "Done" button does not close the keyboard. It changes the "Done" button from "Done" to an arrow and remains visible.

Is there anyway I can tell the system to close this activity is the user clicks on home button? If so how can I do that? I need to do it as I am listening for location updates and I want to stop the updates and also need to trash any location that was available to me previously. I need to do this just in case any user while in that activity clicks on home button and changes the location settings.

I need to option to add a select all/none but you can't bring up the menu in an alert dialog, and I want to do this function from a button. From what I've seen any kind of button (positive, neutral, and negative) all close the dialog regardless.
So, is this possible? If no, what alternatives do I have? My last mitigation is to simply create a new view and recreate everything. Is a new view the best solution?

That's it. I can press the menu button on the phone and see the menu items I created, but when I click on the "Settings" (r.id.settings) it FC. Do I have to do anything to the manifest/other thing to get this to work?
I keep getting com.htc.bg and the force close button or wait. Wait does nothing. It happens when I go to sync and I know it has to be face book because I've updated my profile pic on my pc but it shows my old one when I text.
I've changed the spare parts thing to normal and not aggressive. Is the only other option turning off face book sync? If so, seriously why did I buy a 'smart' phone? Or should I just wipe and reflash and see what happens?
This is my first post but have been reading the forum since I got my desire 3 weeks ago.... love it so far, but I have just come across a problem, When I go into settings followed by "manage applications" I get an error that a process has failed, and then I can only quit using the force close button. I have tried restarting the phone and no new apps have been put on recently. Does anyone know what I can do to be able use the app manager again?

I realize other people might not want this but I want whatever app I was using to completely close when I tap the home button. There is one app that puts an X on your homescreen that closes everything when clicked. That is a little better but I want to go one step further and have the home button do the same thing. Is there anything out there for that?

But now i want that when i click on the list item i should have a kind of popup which has three options and depending on the option i click a new activity should be launched.
