I'm finally ready to upload my Android app to the market. I didn't create a fancy icon like it shows at the android developer site. I just made an image that I liked and made it 48x48 png. Will that be ok?

I'm trying to upload an app to the market, but am getting the following error.
"The icon for your application is not valid. Please use a 48x48 PNG."
I checked my icon and its definately PNG and 48x48.
I've tried re-creating my eclipse project and workspace, tried using both GIMP and IrfanView to write out the PNG. None of this helped. I also tried using an icon from another app I wrote, and which had no problems being uploaded. Even this didn't work. I'm beginning to think its a bug in the market.
I'm currently running into an issue that makes sense but I'm not too sure how to resolve it... Here is the scenario: App v1 icon LAUNCH is set to Activity Main from the manifest file. App v2 icon LAUNCH is set to Activity All from the manifest file and Activity Main no longer exists. After updating to App v2 the app icon fails to launch the application saying it doesn't exist! After a restart of the phone things work. So how can I refresh the applications package or better the launch icon and shortcut icons so that my users don't experience this after an upgrade of my newest app version?

Now I press HOME button, and from homescreen click again on my app icon, which launches A and adds it on top of the activity stack, which now looks like this: A-B-A. My Questions are; I really need a phone upgrade (iphone 3g being a proper drag!) and the HD looks great, but with 3.0 scheduled (from what I have read) to come out around xmas I am tempted to hold off till then. Can anyone shed light on when the next HTC uberphone would be expected to come out? I can probably wait till Xmas before upgrading, and maybe a little longer, but otherwise I'll go for the HD in October.

If that is not possible, is there a way to remove the main activity from the stack so that clicking the back button does not take you to a blank UI?

I am trying to create a widget that, when clicked on, launches the browser and goes to a particular URL. Unfortunately, I have had a lot of problems. I started with a (working) widget that, when clicked, opened the alarm clock. When I try and run the app in Eclipse through the Emulator the emulator gives me the following error:

The Console log in Eclipse shows the following messages:

The problem is the apps will launch twice or more when I apply the following steps: 1. launch the app A (1 time) 2. rotate the screen, (the app A will launch again, now the app A launch twice) 3. press return button (my expected result is that the app A will keep running, luckily, I can do that.) 4. launch the app A ( there will be one more app A running) So, in this case, there are 3 app A launching at the same time. But my expected result is just have one and only one app A launch.
